LOST SEASON 2 Topic board

What I'm wondering from last night's episode is

The monsignor at the church in Australia "chose" Eko to go and speak with the family of the supposed miracle girl who came back from the dead. Was Eko also "chosen" for another reason, namely to get on that plane and go to the island? Is the father of the drowned girl truly not a psychic, or do you think he was lying about that, and that his daughter may also have psychic abilities (she saw Eko's brother in her out-of-body period when everyone thought she was dead)?

i just wonder where the hatch guy went. is he still running though the jungle

i think someone said he will be in the final in 2 weeks

LOL

Supposedly the season finale involves him quite a bit.

Any news on when the Season 2 DVD is expected to hit?

If I remember correctly, and I probably don't, the Season 1 DVD hit pretty fast after the show ended.
what i dont get is everyone is geting hurt yet noone is getting infection.
Actually, Sawyer got an infection from his gunshot wound at the end of season 1 and nearly died when the tail section brought him to the main group. Jack then treated him with antibiotics from the hatch's medical supplies (the same supplies which Jack just won back from Sawyer a couple weeks ago in the poker game).

The psychic that Eko talked to was the same psychic that told Claire to go to LA with her baby. Also,
Now that Libby is dead, what is going to come of the side story with her and Hurley at the mental institution together?

they will probally be the next to die. they killed off that sister cause they said they had nowhere to take their stories

I didnt understand that whole scene cause I thought the orientation film established quite well that the numbers are worthless. The people inputting the numbers "think" that job is important and the people at the pearl station are suppose to observer their behavior/attitude towards completing the task of pressing the button.

On the Lost official podcast they said the numbers will never truly be defined

Man, that's some bullshit!

Ha, the writers said it themselves. THEY don't know what the numbers mean yet lol. They just keep using them. (It makes it interesting though, just pulling the stuff outta your ass as you go along).
FINALLY! ABC realizes that they're going to hurt the show by dicking around with when to air new episodes. This is great news.
Definitely. And my problem with ABCs airing of Lost isnt that I would be confused cause I'd see Shannon and her brother alive .. it was because they'd have two new episodes and then as many as 4 weeks of repeats in a row (i.e. all of December) and then 3 new episodes and then 3 repeats again and when they'd have such long stretches of repeats I'd lose interest in the series because I forgot what was going on.

in the Entertainment weekly book. It said in Season 3 there would be new places and new people. wonder why they find to be concidered new places

also said something about michael and walt reunion might not happen to season 3 ..
In case anyone was wondering the Hanso website tonight was:

www.letyourcompassguideyou.com

(and it's registered by Daimler Chrysler)
I haven't been able to get on the website since the commercial aired. I saw in the bottom left corner that is said sponsered by JEEP. Maybe the first few people win a JEEP :)
Anything big happen this episode? I missed it.
Rough summary is below, though if you wait a day the whole episode should be available on ABC.com's streaming service in the next day or two.
It is confirmed that Michael is working with the others, flashbacks from when he was captured reveal this. He had to free Henry Gale and bring ONLY Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and Hurley to the Other's camp. If he did this, he would be given back Walt and a boat.

Ekko cares no longer about the church, only the button, and this has pissed off Charlie. Then Vincent (the dog) brings Charlie a Virgin Mary Heroin Doll which leads Charlie to Sawyers stash of them and he tosses all of them into the ocean (So I think that's the last of the drugs).

Michael eggs the four which the Others requested be brought to mount an assault and take back Walt. Sawyer invites Sayid along (since he is ex-military) Michael protests which convinces Sayid that Michael has been compromised. Sayid expresses this to Jack in private as the survivors prepare for Libby and Ana Lucia's funeral. The funeral is interupted by...Sun spotting a small sailboat 100-200 feet off the shore!

Holy shit. Next week's finale is gonna rock! My question about the tube system in the Pearl hatch may finally be answered!

I love it how
Walt yelled to his dad "They're pretending!" when they let him into the tent to see Michael. I wonder what kind of "tests" the Others are making Walt take? Also, I wonder why those 4 particular people were written on Michael's list to bring back to the Others' camp? I was thinking it was because they had all "seen" something strange on the island.

QFT

In my opinion
and based off the questions Clue asked Michael(and here reference to "the room"), The Others are doing some kind of Ganzfeld Experiment type stuff to Walt.

Also
concerning the list, we know that Henry told Locke that he was "one of the good ones." And while that could well be bullshit, but we know that The Others have a keen interest in some of the survivors. You're thoughts about what those four had seen makes as much sense as anything I can come up with.

Yes. I was curious about
"the room" that Walt was threatened with.

The only other thing I can think of about the list is

the Others wanted the strongest people from the group, but then why wouldn't they put Sayeed on the list, too? I'm glad that he saw through Michael's plan to bring only those 4 people. I was wondering who was going to be the first to catch on to Michael's plot.

We know that
Walt can "show up places he is not" or whatever the hell Klugh said, as he's demonstrated that several times since his capture. We also know that at least one of the other abducted children (Rousseau's daughter Alex) has grown to a seemingly healthy adulthood while in the Others' charge. So it wouldn't appear as though they are not doing any long-term physical damage to the kids. I'm thinking experiments: possibly through sensory deprivation and isolation. My gut-level feeling is that DHARMA is concerned with physic sensitives, and that the plane crash was engineered to provide them with more subjects. Sure it's a ridiculous proposal, but this is a show with a monster made of black smoke!

Oh, and for the record, Sayeed is the shit!

"
" we all know that boat is the dude from the hatch. the current just made him come back to the island... what was the symbol on the hatch the others were guarding. looked like a 8? "

well after being away for a week and a half, I finally got to watch last weeks episode. Great show, little heavy with some of mikes flashbacks though imo. Our salesreps son was in it a lot, he was one of the others bringing mike back to there base/area.

May or may not be true but

Harold Perrineau, aka mike dawson house is for sale in hawaii. Maybe he doesn't make it to next season. Also the new girl character from the others, will be in the show a lot next season. Just like anna lucia was introduced at the end of season 1, the same will be for the new girl character.
another tidbit before the finale 2night

according to my source, henry gale is the leader of the others
I heard something similar on anohter site earlier today. Crazy shit! I can't wait for tonight's episode.

I heard a story on NPR today about how books that get noticed on Lost get major jumps in sales and the book that has benefited the most is something that Desmond (the guy who ran out of the hatch) was reading. It's called "The Third Policeman". Rumors have it Lost may be loosely based on the contents/premise of the book. I might have to give it a purchase to see what the hub-bub is all about.

By the way, I havent been this excited about a show in a long time. We're just six minutes away from the finale. I'm really hoping that more questions are answered then created.
So....we are left with even more questions now.
Yeah like most importantly, what happened to

the group of Jin, Sun, and Sayid and Locke and Ecko?!?!?

Sorry I dont know how to use spoiler tags.

Wasnt another group mentioned? The hostiles I think they were called.
Are they the one thats really behind all this?

I like the explanation for why the plane crashed. This is one of the best season finales for any show I've ever seen. They answered a bunch of questions, and still posed a bunch more (unlike last year's finale).

...

I really hope season 3 will be the last. Don't get me wrong, I like the show and all, but I want the show to have a real ending instead of dragging it on. I just want all the damn questions answered.

I only half watched the first season of Lost, but this season really pulled me in. The finale was great, I was really feeling for Desmond with the whole book thing. I hope Jimmy Kimmel tonight has something interesting revealed.

I have a feeling Michael will be turning that boat around after he drops Walt off to safety. Then he'll somehow end up dying as a hero. I think season 3 is going to focus on a rescue effort of some sort after Hurley grows some balls. Desmond's chick coming in to play will be great too. I think ending the series at Season 3 would be too soon, there would still be too many unanswered questions. I could see it ending at 4 maybe, part of the season would take place off the island, to give the most of the characters a solid conclusion.

What the fuck did I just watch?

Wow...

I kinda wanna watch them blow up the hatch again. Would kinda suck if the desk/whatever crippled john again for failing to realize the truth. But it wouldn't surprise me if they did it.

How I want season 3 to go:
Michael would pull out an AK-47 and just shred through all the "others" saving all 3 of them. That'd be frikkin sweet.
