This has not been a good few days of Madden for me. The games were fun, but I got my ass whooped by San Francisco in both leagues. My running game is usually lackluster, and I didn't try to run much in this game after going down by a couple scores early, but negative 1 yards rushing? That's just terrible. I also learned a very hard lesson in the differences between a 95-96 OVR Aaron Rodgers and 68 OVR Keith Null.
Null threw 4 interceptions and fumbled deep in Packer territory at least once, and I think twice. Cru was just incredible in this game... not that he isn't always good, but I've beaten him once and managed to keep it within a couple scores at least when we've played league games before. This time, he clobbered me. He's always great about making moves and breaking tackles on kick returns, but I don't know if I ever tackled him on the first try in this game, at least when he made it across the line of scrimmage. Usually my defense is decent, but he burned me badly every time I took control of a defender.
I really didn't get anything going offensively or defensively until the second half, and by then I was already down 21-0. To add insult to injury, when Cru intercepted the ball and got called for defensive holding on 3rd and 6, somehow the 10 yard penalty went against me, so instead of a first down, I got a 3rd and 16... and promptly threw another pick. Then Ryan Grant dislocated his elbow on my last offense play- a red zone INT. It was that kind of game.

At least I'm able to enjoy myself now during games like that, whereas before I'd have been very frustrated and irritable. Sure, I had all sorts of medical issues making me feel like shit then, but here we have ubernes and bvharris going through their own shit, and they're not acting like the asshole that I was back then. Regardless, I just hope I can stay in the division race till Rodgers gets back. Since Chicago won to improve to 6-6, the Bears currently lead the NFC North via tiebreaker.
