Yea this all goes back to the GOLDEN RULE: Play like a real NFL coach would....no NFL coach would ever tank for the #1 pick (at least in that obvious of a manner). NFL coaches play to win!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Well, now I'm not so sure. He missed a FG in his game with me, but then when I failed on my next drive, he went and kicked the FG on that try to tie it up and send it to overtime.

What's "Sunday early evening" anyway? I haven't heard a thing from the Titans, and as I said before, I have that doctor's appointment tomorrow afternoon followed by the hockey game, so while I can play tomorrow, not having something scheduled at this point worries me a bit. I can play Sunday if necessary; I just don't want to end up with a sim or having to scramble to schedule something at the last minute.

I hope you're not insinuating I'd be holding things up, because I've been waiting since yesterday for a response from my opponent, hoping to get the game in quickly. But early evening is very vague and evening for you is afternoon for me in a lot of cases, so while I am not asking for an exact time, I wanted to know when and what I should do if CustersLastand hasn't responded by tomorrow.

Nah, just saying it's sort of general. No real set time, but I stressed 'early' evening from the start so no one assumed we would be waiting for 9pm games. I didn't realize you were playing Custers. I'll send him a text now. I thought he was going to get his ass in the forum and I thought he did seeing how this is the first I'm hearing of it in a while. But I can get him moving for you.
 
I wasn't sure if you might have been referring to the scheduling problems I had regarding the game with Ramesu, which is why I asked. I read too much into text sometimes. I said before that I thought someone from here knew him personally, but that was right before the whole NBC comedy/Reggie Miller discussion stuff and I guess my post about him and the game got lost in all that, LOL. Thanks.
 
Anyone know how to get in contact with the Jags? If we get the game in it'd have to be today as I'll be gone tomorrow. Not that it's a meaningful game, so it could always just be simmed.

EDIT: I ask because he hasn't been on XBL in 3 days.

I can't believe XXXplosive1 has the opposite record of me and took the Jets to the limit today. And I was playing pretty damn well I think. My D obviously could've been a little more stout, but you'd think controlling 3/4th of the game clock and running for well over 200 yards I'd have it in the bag, but he fought back in the 2nd half after I was up 21-7 and eventually tied it with under 2 minutes remaining. I was able to hit the game-winning FG with time expiring, which was oddly enough my 2nd such FG of the day in league play. Now I just need to beat Deuce to get the sweep going.

I thought that was one of my better games played this season as well. I have cut back on the stupid interceptions, but my kicker can't hit anything outside of a 30 yard try and my defense is soft like cotton candy. I had Shonne Greene stuck in the backfield on a couple of occasions but he would either break the tackle or drag a couple of defenders for a gain almost every time. Good game and I will be looking hard at DT's and Linbackers in the off season.
 
I got a message when I left for my doctor's appointment (just got home now), and it turns out I'll be leaving earlier than expected- about 20 minutes from now- for the hockey game. We're meeting up with some people beforehand, and I'm not the one driving. Custer said we can play tomorrow since it's unlikely he will be available after I get back from the game. I told him I can play from approximately 11 A.M. Pacific/2 P.M. eastern onward, so we will get it played as early as possible tomorrow so uber can advance.
 
So uh...Doomtime kicked the shit out of me. 70-14 final score.

I basically could not stop Adrian Peterson...ever. I just got run over all game long.

Offensively I started off my first drive failing a fourth and inches in the redzone. Then proceeded to throw two devastating ints in the first half. Oh and I had six dropped passes but even if my offense was clicking I doubt I would have had a chance. Just a disaster of a game all around for me. I really need to figure out how to play some god damn defense.
 
Yeah these types of games happen. I got trashed in the other madden league today by a similar score. All you can do is make adjustments and practice often. I think you'll do fine in this league so don't worry about it too much. Good game.

I don't play the kinect on that xbox much. I use it on the other one. Those scores are from the first day I got the game. If you need me to update them, I'll gladly do so. :D
 
My whiteness shone through on Dance Central when I tried the demo and got 3 stars on easy, but it was fun. We should get a group together and play Kinect Sports online at some point.
 
I'm in Boston until at the earliest late afternoon, and haven't heard from the Jags. I personally don't care if you sim it, the Bills are well out of any races anyways. Don't let this game hold up the league, basically.

The other two can be simmed, but Matt said he had something scheduled with the Titans. And I think the Falcons game may have playoff implications, so it would be good to get that in.

I PMed him yesterday morning and was able to play all afternoon. Now today, I'm busy from 1-7. I should be free after that if he responds though.

Edit: I don't want this to be simmed because he already got the win the first time in the season when I couldn't connect, and now the game may decide whether I make the playoffs or not.

Well, if Matt's game goes down without a hitch soon I really don't see us waiting til 7. Sorry man, but I was around all morning if you PMed me I could've booted him no problem for you. I stressed early evening since we advanced and I'm pretty sure I clarified it as well.
 
Wow, I am pissed after what just happened. Uber, you weren't on for me to get you in a party chat, but I just got screwed out of a great game and as I told Custer, there is no way I'm replaying that one. I'll edit this post with more in a minute.
 
So is anyone looking to get a Week 17 game in between say 4pm EST and 8pm EST? Obviously I'd like to use those 4 hours of time to get moving on the final week of the season, but I also don't want to roll the dice with the sim gods and screw over the Falcons if no one is around to play anyways.

edit: Well, if we're waiting on the Packers-Titans as well then I guess we'll hold off. 8pm EST is the absolute deadline though.
 
I didn't have a problem with this game until the end of it, but I was dominating the majority of it even after Jordy Nelson tore his labrum on the first play of the game and Tramon Williams broke his collarbone. My defense forced and recovered a couple fumbles, one for a TD, and I was up 31-10 near the end of the 3rd quarter. He scored a touchdown to make it 31-16 and for some reason tried a 2 point conversion, which failed. He onside kicked it, I recovered, and then when I went to run my next play, the game dropped.

I'm not going to accuse him of quitting since I know how Madden is, but with the strange play calling at the end followed by the drop when I was in position to go up big, I don't think I should have to give him another shot when I needed that win.
 
Matt -- ask Sprice what the score of our game was and then tell me if I'm a quitter.

And I went for the conversion and the onside because I needed to get back in the game. You were "dominating."

If you don't wanna replay, then let's just sim it. I don't really give a damn. It clearly means more to you then it does to me.

I would prefer to -actually- lose the game, but like I said, I don't really give a damn.
 
I already said in my post and my second Xbox Live message to you that I wasn't accusing you of quitting. If you can't understand that, I don't know what to tell you. Why would you go for 2 when the extra point would have put you down by 14? I didn't understand that, but it has nothing to do with the end result anyway.

All I was saying was that after the way the game went and how deep we were into it, I'm not going to replay the whole thing. That always goes badly for me, and I earned the win. I was about to go up by at least 18 and possibly 22, and I had scored on every drive. There's no way I'm letting it be simmed. I'm not going to waste time getting into a war of words or any bickering. If you want to discuss the game, fine. Just waiting on ubernes to respond here once he finishes with Marvel vs. Capcom.

EDIT: Another Xbox Live message from, him saying I accused him of quitting. I've said in posts and XBL messages that I was not saying that, so something's not getting through to this guy. I don't know what else to say.
 
Relax, man, there's no need to be so defensive or so descriptive of the game. If I had my way, you would never have to lose at anything ever again. I would keep you warm in the cold like your favorite sweater -- you know which one -- I would feed you if you were hungry, and I would even sew your teddy bear's eye back on even though he should probably just go in the trash. I'm on your side -- and that college fund I started for you is growing by the day. You're gonna be just fine. Just fine.
 
Most people here could tell you that it's hard to make me look like the mature party in a discussion of a Madden game, but you have done it. I described what happened with the game because it was relevant to the situation. Feel free to make all the nonsensical analogies you want.
