Deadpool would make fun of him for not wearing a shirt.

I just noticed that during Deadpools air-launch attack he yells out, "SHORYUKEN!" (this video at 2:26).

More like Dante would try to date Deadpool.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. :p

Played this for a bit. Was pretty sweet, didn't really like the new button layout. But hopefully that can be changed.

Played as Dante, Dead Pool and Ryu. Pretty sweet, Dante's special move is awesome.

I hope the super moves are easier to pull off than in SF4, that's what i liked about MvC2, just pull the triggers and there you go. Hope they keep it that simple.

It already was easy, most super moves were just the normal moves with 2 punch/kick buttons instead of one. Hitting the triggers/hitting both tag buttons was for the super team moves.

Really happy to see Final Justice for Captain America.

The voice actors from MvC2 were 10x better though. Ryu sounds so bad and so does Wolverine.

As long as Spiderman, Sakura, Ken, Akuma & Cyclops sound relatively close to their old voices I'll be happy.

Really? I was actually pretty disappointed to see Final Justice. If they are going to have to re-create the moves for 3D anyway, why not mix it up a little bit? Doesn't make any sense to me.

For the voice actors, it is hard to say. The youtube quality isn't the greatest, and the voices in TvC sounded fine so I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Also, I really don't know if ANY of those guys will actually be in the game (although I wouldn't be surprised to see Akuma and Cyclops). I know there is a legal snafu regarding Spider-Man, so we will have to see how that gets resolved.

Oh Final Justice as a Lvl 3 makes no sense. They should (and I hope they do) give everybody new specials for their Lvl 3s, outside of maybe Akuma if he's even in it.

Would there really be any reason that this game has 1/2 of the roster of MvC2?

because they have to recreate all the characters as 3D models... they can't re-use any of the assets. The roster is confirmed to be 30+, but my best guess is that means 31-34 (wouldn't be surprised if it was 15 on both sides plus the boss).

I do hope that the level 3 supers are mostly new moves, but time will tell.

I'd rather them keep the characters that are returning the same, or at least very similar for the most part. I don't want to spend another year and a half to master Storm or Magneto (here's to hoping these characters do return). But, if they don't I guess I'd just have to hit the drawing board.

With a different gameplay engine you are going to need to relearn them anyway, so it couldn't hurt for a little variety. It appears that they are keeping them pretty much the same, which is a pretty big let-down for me. Would have loved to see Hulk as a grappler and other changes.

The lesser characters they kept really should be rehauled, like Hulk for example.

I'll enjoy relearning new characters, but at the same time I don't really want to. Does that make sense? Probably not...

I understand what you're saying (I think) but it's not like it'll take months to learn all of a characters special moves. Super advanced tactics, such as Sentinel's Fly/Unfly and Magneto ROM infinites wouldn't work in this one, so to get truly good with a character you are going to need to relearn them under the Marvel 3 engine anyway.

I just don't think it would hurt to give the game a breath of fresh air (not that you are saying it would).

Oh, I understand what you're saying completely. A lot of the combos and tactics won't work with a new engine. Even though they're making changes (which many people are going to cry about...) I'm still psyched to finally after a decade of waiting, see a sequel to the best fighting game of all time.

I was really good with my Storm, Magneto, and Dr. Doom team. Although, I never used any of the stupid infinites. I for one hated anyone who used Sentinel...

Sentinel is the hardest character to play properly!

In any case, I don't know that theres going to be too much to newly learn/relearn. From my time with the evo demo, ironmans normals seems similar (weak is jab, md strong kick, fierce is the same), he can still angle his fierce, and it even seems like the possibility for infinites/long combos is there because of a few things we saw. For one, theres no fly screen penalty for knockdowns in the air, which means ironman can airdash under a down exchange in the air and continue. Up proton cannon adds lots of different setups for super combos.

They nerfed the SHIT out of his smart bombs though, they're 99% useless now. However, his airdash is ridiculously fast now, like storm level, which concerns me if theyre trying to keep broken shit/infinites out.

Yeah, but once you can use him he's borderline broken.

Eh, its balanced enough so that he has serious trouble against any of the top 5 without an aa to cover his ass. Cable commando rapes him too, especially if he has no bar to dhc out.

Sentinel and Cable spam is nearly unbeatable when you have complete control of the screen. It's just not fun to play against.

That's what I was talking about when I said super moves, though they weren't always team based if you didn't have enough power built up.

Am I the only one not feeling the graphic style? Everything looks so plastic and...unflashy, the antithesis of what vs games are all about.
Am I the only one not feeling the graphic style? Everything looks so plastic and...unflashy, the antithesis of what vs games are all about.
I agree. I miss the old art style.

I kinda wish MvC3 would have the Phoenix in it. It's such a popular storyline in the X-Men universe, so I don't see why they'd miss a chance to put it in there. Also, Mega Man X OR an 8-bit Mega Man. Not Legends Mega Man or a redrawn version of the original Mega Man, I want an 8-bit sprite version of Mega Man playable in MvC3.

Yes, it looks dull compared to the previous art style.

I've been busy at work but just heard them talk about "accidental reveals" during this live stream, anybody know what any of those are?

mega man x? pretty much it not all the characters are unlocked
felicia is also in the game demo dunno if she was announced
fast chun li

Thor and Amaterasu weren't meant to be revealed until today. The characters were leaked by accident from Marvel's website.

Can't wait to play as Ami. Loved Okami, and it's great seeing all the little touches (including various weapons from the game) implemented so well. This game keeps getting better and better (though I'm still not sold on the graphic style).
