I can't get it to recognize my MGS4 clear data to unlock the spoilers. I think it wants save data from the Japanese version of the game.

I guess I'll have to redownload the American version tomorrow.
 
just played around with the database and I will say it does feel like a very well put together official wikipedia. one thing that it is great with though is the timeline and relationship charts.
 
also found a couple typos in the subtitles of the game. Would've though a game of this caliber would have most everything perfect lol. Maybe they get tired as development was finishing up?

- in act 5 where Raiden comes in and says "I am lightning, the rain transformed," the subs say lighting instead of lightning.

- at the end when Drebin says "You're starin at a former child soldier," the subs say starrin instead of starin

lol anyway...

It is in the main game. You just haven't found it yet. I have it but I don't recall where I picked it up.

I saw this posted somewhere, and it explains why The Twin Snakes needed all of the voice acting redone, and why those re-recordings were used for the flashbacks in this game. Basically, they recorded the originals in someone's house in LA, and the newer hardware of the GameCube actually made all of the background noise, like traffic, audible. Obviously, the same issues would have arose on the PS3.

I dropped my MGS4 disc. I dropped it on the concret floor. I picked it up and wiped it and saw a speck on the disc. I figured it was fine since the speck is so small. It's not fine. Soon as I try playing the game and I try to load the crying wolf boss battle I was stuck on, I press the start button and on the top left screen there's an icon of a disc and a question mark that flashes forever. I kept rebooting it and one time it even stopped and let me play the boss battle. So I beat the boss battle and I'm watching the cut scene and in the middle of the scene it freezes and starts doing it again. I figure since it worked last time, I'll just wait it out and see if it stops doing it and resumes. I wait 20 minutes. Here I am. Still waiting. I think my disc has just been destroyed. What do I do? What the fuck do I do?

Buy a new disc, trade in the old one and say it might need resurfacing.

You can't return/exchange it from wherever you got it from?

MGS4 is probably more sensitive than other games since I think it is the only dual-layer Blu-ray disc out.

It alerts you when you get mail during a game, but I can't seem to check it. What's the point of telling me if I can't check it?

This game needs a party system. My friend and I cannot get into the same game together most of the time. And when we do it's by pure luck. It says the game is "full" when there is 8/16 people in the room. Doesn't make much sense.
Voice chat is TERRIBLE. Sounds like a fuckin Warhawk game. People who do have mics you can't understand what they are saying or they don't talk at all for some reason. It makes it difficult in team games if no one has a mic. I'm getting sick of hearing those one liners the game gives you. Buy a real headset!

Lack of In game XMB makes it annoying when people are sending me messages, but that's with most PS3 games.

No teamwork! People are just running around randomly doing what they want.

I agree on voice chat, and in game XMB is coming soon.

Teamwork happens mostly if you play with people you know (like CAGs). The thing that pisses me off is when a teammate sees me knocked out but they run by me without trying to wake me up, or if they kill me because they were trying to shoot someone I was CQCing.
 
well, I've played single player so much I now am going to play a ton of MGO. I suck at sneaking missions but this is the only shooting online game I've ever played where I am usually always in the top 3 and that scares me.

Play high level people and you'll be lucky to get a positive score. Last night I was in a game with Rock, he had around 30 kills and 2 deaths, with four times the score of second place.

Yea, people need to work as a team, several times I'm just being chocked out by a guy and my teammates just run by without even doing anything.

My favorite is when you're getting shot at and your team members run right past you and ignore the guy shooting at you. Another favorite is when you warn your teammate about a sniper around the corner yet they still run around and get killed. :bomb:
 
please make a CAG clan someone...

also, when it's made please give me the privilege to make the clan emblem since i did the one for us during the beta. character name is Rolento.
