Well, to put things into perspective, we've got 22 games in the season. I told all the guys in the PM I sent out that if they play one game per week (and some are even behind that pace) that it would take 5 1/2 months just to get to the playoffs. In my opinion, 2 games a week should be the minimum. There's no real way to enforce it other than starting to just ruthlessly kick people out who don't meet the requirement.
I didn't even anticipate needing to do this because I thought we had "flex scheduling". My thought was when most of the league was basically finished with their season, and there were only a couple people holding us up, I'd kick them, and we'd move on to the playoffs. But with this "unlock games as you go" system, it's hard to know when to pull the trigger. Honestly, I don't even know what will open up the next batch of games. Here are some things I've thought of:
1. ivanctorres hasn't played a single game yet. Maybe if he ever played and everybody in the league had a game done, more games would become available. He made a post last week, asking people to email him if they could play. I sent him an email 30 minutes after he made that post and never got a response. I've seen him on Xbox Live a lot lately. I've thought about messaging him to ask if he ever intended on playing in the MLB league, but it pisses me off that that's neccessary.
2. The "current series" is still officially series 1 since I haven't resolved any of the games yet. Maybe if all the series 1 games got played, we'd move on to the next series, and more games would open up. ivanctorres is my series 1 opponent. I'll make an effort to contact him tomorrow. Everybody else should try getting the game with their series 1 opponent played also.
Outside of that, I don't want to make any moves until it's absolutely neccessary. I don't think anybody is completely out of available games yet (Supreme and m_d_amore have both played 7 games). If that happens, I'll do something about it. I just wanted to let certain people know that they need to show more effort. Otherwise, they're wasting our time.
