Hahaha, nah it's all good.

Favre pretty much blew the game for them, although the secondary wasn't performing too well and Al Harris was gettin' spanked by Plaxico. I was pretty much chanting from the 4th quarter on "Don't Throw The Ball!"

The best way for Favre to get back into a rhythm is to run the ball. The whole family was yelling at him to hand it off to Grant, because Favre was getting anxious and started forcing throws, and every GB fan knows that when Favre starts getting anxious, things start going downhill and downhill fast.

After they lost, all I could think of was going to sleep cuz I was just spent. Then I got up, went to Ralphs, and bought some ice cream and chocolate syrup AND it was a cold night ;)

My question to Green Bay is, "WHY DID YOU ABANDON THE RUNNING GAME?!?!?"

Another thing that really put Green Bay in a bind were the penalties on 3rd Downs pretty much helping the Giants along for their first TD >.>

Well I was rooting for the Pack, but they didn't get it done. Now I'm pulling for the Pats.

Don't give me no hometown crap either. The Lions don't count as real football.

Rivers played with a torn ACL and yet Tomlinson wouldn't go with a sprained MCL. That is sad.
just saw that on espn. im really really surprised tomlinson didnt try to tough it out with the super bowl on the line. they were in the game up until the 4th, they didnt even put him in a series to see how he could run. my respect for rivers went up today and for LT went down.

I wouldn't question LT at all, if he was hurt and couldn't go, then it happends. You think LT just decided not to play? The Chargers have depth with Turner and Sproles. It's a whole different situation, Rivers HAD to play, LT should've to, but a sprained MCL for a RB is way worse injury for that position.

When I was watching the game on TV, the announcer said that the coach took out LT for the game. It doesn't matter b/c (IMO) Turner is as good as any starting running back in the NFL.

The Chargers should've started Volek instead of Rivers. A 100% healthy Volek is better than a 50% Rivers IMHO. Rivers couldn't get enough power behind his throws causing the incompletions/ints.

this would have been the most foolish move they could have done. While Volek had a good drive against Indy, he hasn't played since he was on the Titans. When he played the rest of the year, he didn't make any throws that looked good. Besides, Rivers is a pocket passer. Its not like he needed to move around that much and besides that 1 int (the other had nothing to do with the amount of power on the pass), there wasn't a real problem with his power.

Rivers wasn't the reason that the Chargers lost.

LT couldnt play because he wouldn't be as effective as the other running backs (dont know their names) on the chargers. He wouldn't be able to make quick cuts like he usually does. And if you watched the game, you would know the chargers ran the ball pretty well and it wasn't a factor in the loss. The reason Philip Rivers was able to play and LT couldnt, even though he had a worse injury, was because they play 2 different positions. If LT was a QB he would definetly be able to play. But if Rivers was a RB he would not be able to play due to his injury.

IMO the Chargers lost because they werent able to score any touchdowns, and only scoring field goals against the patriots isnt going to cut it.

Philip Rivers played great, i dont see how Volek could have done any better

Turner had 65 yards. That isn't enough for a team built around the run. They needed LT out there and they should have waited more than one series before they pulled him.
I'm sure the coaches and LT know more than we do. If he was their best option to win the game, he would've played.
exactly
I'm not sure he is what he shows..
"So coach, then who is he?"
"He is who we thought he was!"

The thing is, I think you could say that about a lot of people. Nobody truly knows what these guys are really made of.

And if it's just about his actions on the sidelines like some people have mentioned, he's passionate about the game. Plus, golden boy Peyton Manning acts just as pissy, if not more, when things aren't going his way. I don't really think you can use his actions on the sidelines to define him as a man.
Where'd all this LT hate come from?
It's a requirement to get on the Patriots 'I've loved them since two minutes after they won the Super Bowl' bandwagon.

For someone that claims to be classy he's talked alot of crap about the patriots. When the pats beat them last year he said the patriots had no class starting from their head coach. And this year when asked about spygate he said with a shit eating smirk "the patriots live by the theory if your not cheating your not trying." He just doesn't know when to shut up.

Ahh, now I get it. He's the one guy that keeps it real about the Pats. Not classy.

yup just like he kept his teammates real when they were talking crap about the pats before the game last year and kept it real when merriman was suspended for steroids... yup he kept it real.... oh wait.

Soo...you expect him to talk crap about his teammates?
Soo...you expect him to talk crap about his teammates?
well just to counter your arguement to show that he doesn't keept it "real". And the pats don't talk bad about other teams/players until they beat them. To me thats keeping it real.

I laugh at that statement...

I thought I heard a whooshing sound. It was my last post going right over your head.

this was bound to happen sooner or later
Whoa...
I completely forgot about that! That's actually pretty funny because of the irony.

Btw, screw you guys who think the Packers got lucky this season :twoguns:
If that's the case then the same goes for the Pats having a perfect season (so far ;))

you mean coincidence....irony is the opposite of whats expected to happen ;)

I know that's supposed to sting but he looks so ugly in that pic it's hilarious XD

As much as it sucks that the Giants beat the team I'm a big fan of, I have no choice but to root for them in the Super Bowl. They better show that Road Warrior attitude in the Super Bowl and one-up the Pats >.>

NE now has reason to worry. Brady is wearing a cast.
I kinda doubt it's a reason to worry. He's doing that because they have 2 weeks to recuperate.
EDIT: Nevermind, now the Giants know where to hit Brady :D

Oh, and another thing for Green Bay. Now that their season is over, WORK ON YOUR SCREEN PLAYS. Oh man did they blow at running screens this year. My jaw dropped on Sunday's game when Brett threw it to Grant who was at least 3 yards behind Favre and only had 1 blocker.

the bottom line is LT is the chargers, when its that kind of situation he needs to at least try a series. rivers had a tear and could play. youre telling me they couldnt throw LT out there for one series to see how it went in the 3rd quarter when they were still in the game... bullocks.

did anyone notice LT still wearing his helmet on the sidelines? It was like he was hiding or something.

The Coaches decision was bull, he coulda played but he didnt want to risk further hurting himself...err risking his career.

They didnt have a healthy Gates either and Jamaal Brown was playing hurt. I agree, LT shoulda played.plain and simple.

it also didnt help that when LT is out...you know when the chargers are gonna pass or run.

Turner=runs
sproles=pass.

I know all you guys noticed that.Im just pointing that out for others who havent.

well the Brady walking cast is nothing to worry about... if it was a solid cast then you worry... he probably has a high ankle sprain or something like that

Here we go again. We're going to have to listen to at least one story a day on Sportscenter about "Is Favre retiring or is he coming back?" for the next year.

If it did come down to risking his career, then it's not worth it at all. Turner is capable enough.

I'm not sold that he could've played anyway.

My feeling is as a chargers fan is that LT gave it a try, he depends on his speed and quickness way more than rivers does, LT felt that Turner and Sproles at 100% were better than himself at 50%. I agree with this LT is awesome but the other two combined a excellent also.
I bet he had the helmet on to keep himself warm..
I would bet the farm it was to not show people that he was crying. I overheard the announcers say when they were interviewing him the day before the pats game he was so intense and emotional when it came to talk about how close the team is to playing in the super bowl, his eyes started to welt up.

That right there shows me that if he could have played he would have. But I really have to give major props to Gates and especially Rivers. I can't believe Rivers had kneee surgery and within the week he was playing in the game.

I can't wait until next year!
