NFL 2007 Season Thread

Wow, i can't believe Cowboys fans are still bitching about the loss. Some of them are saying the refs gave the Packers and Cowboys game to the Giants...yet no one has any proof.

Then, theres fans that talk about how the Giants don't deserve to be in the SB, the Cowboys do...because "they're the better team but were just inconsistent for that game". To them, the Giants didn't win in the playoffs, the Cowboys and Packers lost.

"And, the media dragging the shirt tails of NY. They've been on NYs jock all year long".....are you serious? According to the media, the Giants weren't supposed to win any playoff games (except maybe against the bucs) and the most people predicted the Cowboys to go to the SB.

"The Cowboys killed the Giants 2 out of the 3 games in the season and that means they are better"
Football isn't about being physically better all of the time, its also about being mentall strong. The Giants pulled themselves together and dare i say.....were a better team than the Cowboys towards the end of the season. Eli outplayed Romo and the Giants played better as a team than the Cowboys.

Now i dont want to be a poor sport. I know the Cowboys are a really good football team (which they obviously showed in the regular season) and could probably win the NFC East again. But, never say they are better than the Giants, if in the last game they played with them, they lost. As the saying goes ", You're only as good as the last game you played"

I hope Cowboys fans (the ones that show poor sportsmanship) can realize that the Giants aren't that bad at all, and maybe.......theres a tiny, tiny chance....they actually deserve to be in the SB?
btw..Jim Fassel looks to be the leading candidate for the Redskins job
I hope he gets the job so the Redskins can have even more years of misery. I hated him when he ws the coach of the Giants (even though he took us to the Super Bowl in 2000 and was Coach of the Year twice). He is a HORRIBLE play-caller and the team only seemed to win when he wasn't the one calling the shots.

I'd rather we had some new blood as a head coach in Washington. We should try to do like the Steelers and find a young, hungry coordinator who wants a shot.

Any team that beats the other playoff teams deserves to be in the Superbowl. It's as simple as that.

try telling that to the cowboys.com message boards

they think they deserved to win against New England too

They should start looking at Tony Homo if they want to know why they lost.

(I love that Tony Homo/Drew Bledsoe's blog)
well the Brady walking cast is nothing to worry about... if it was a solid cast then you worry... he probably has a high ankle sprain or something like that
you nailed that guess

nah it wasn't a guess..Sidney Crosby has the same cast on.. plus a few years ago Kendrell Bell had to wear one when he had his high ankle sprain

That would be awesome if Brady couldnt play in the superbowl. Without him, the Pats become just another crappy team. Well a crappy team that cheats alot.

I want Brady to play. I was rooting for the Pats to make it this far. I want the cheating "scandal" to go away (if you can even call it that - I don't really think they cheated to an extent that gave them any type of advantage). I want all this because I want the Giants to beat their brains in so for all time we can say we beat the best. It's nice to want things...
cheats alot.
ROFL. I love how people try to discredit the Patriots. They are a good team, get over it.

javeryh, Eli proved me wrong this week. He came through in the clutch, and typing that just looks weird. =] Congrats to Giants fans. Here's to hoping for a good game.
I'm not sure he is what he shows..
Are you talking about LT? Uh... his stats speak for himself.

Fastest player to reach 100 TD's

Only the second running back to have at least 1200 yards rushing in his first 6 years in the NFL

He led the league in rushing this year with 1474 yards (even if some people say he had a "dismal" season)

Not to mention his record breaking 2006 year

There are a lot more I could pull up, but I think that's enough to settle the argument.

Patriots- 41
Giants- 27

I couldn't care less WHO wins and who loses, as long as the Pat's score ends in 1, and the Giants score ends in 7, at any Quarter :D

No no no, Pats - 24 Giants - 35

I hope you lose money on this :D

No, you must've missed it. It wasn't about his playing ability.

Some people were kinda hatin on LT, so I asked why.

Doesn't matter who the Pats have as there QB. Cassel is a solid backup. With their WR's any QB will look good throwing the ball.

HARSH! Hell, it can be Pats 1, Giants 777 for all I care.
Then again, I'll cheer for the Pats because I despise the Giants.
Also, its because I'm playing Superbowl Squares on CAG. Guys, check it out in the contests forum, hosted by Briansraregames (so you know the prizes will be great). It's free.
I don't even know who that kid is. But I do find it funny that someone compared him to me.
LOL, I didn't even notice that. But that Fatty sure knows a lot about football!

Oh whoops. That's what I get for jumping into the middle of a discussion. Carry on folks!

PS. Go Giants! ;)

I just hope at some point in the SB at the end of a quarter, the score for each team ends in 7 or 3. What are the odds that I get 3/3 and 7/7. Oh well, one quarter nets me $100, game nets $200 or $300, can't remember

Oh, I see how it is then.

Haha, nah it's all good, we're both out of the Playoffs >.>
Vikings, Packers, and Bears fans oh my!

(Where's the Lions fan to complete the NFC North?)
Yea, there was one around here somewhere :whistle2:k

Warriors, come out and play-e-ay! *Knocks glass bottles together* :D

They all left when they realized the Lions were as big as a joke they've always been.

Thanks for these, I love NFL Films' work. I was actually really looking forward to seeing their America's Game special if they win the Superbowl.

God damn it.

I hate the Lions so much.

I work for NFL Films and you know what I get to do January? Sit my ass at home because the Lions never make it to the post season. If they would make it to the play offs I would be able to fly to all of the play off games and eventually to the superbowl.
This thread is dying

i get dibs on NFL 2008 Season Thread
No problem just don't be too down in the dumps if(WHEN) your Giants lose to the Pats. Don't get me wrong, I'm pulling for the Giants but I just don't see the Pats coming all this way and not finishing the deal.

I guess you could start the new thread in April when the draft kicks off the new season?
