NFL 2010-2011 Season Discussion Thread
Its what a lot of football players go through after their career is over, concussions or not. They're not able to adjust and they turn violent and irritable, particularly during football season when they're used to getting into that mindset.
There should be a seniors league.

What a little shit. "If I get fined on that, it's got to be a travesty."

!
Rodney Harrison said he used to set aside $50,000 a year for fines related to establishing his reputation as a hitter, but what really made him question his hits was being suspended.
-----
Raven's talked more shit after the game
One Ravens defensive back, apparently frustrated by hearing questions about Tom Brady [stats] and the Patriots, left the locker room grumbling about how the Pats played their best possible game coming off a bye week. The player also welcomed another postseason showdown so the Ravens could “smash them again.”
-----
Brady got his opportunity to respond to Suggs.
On WEEI Monday morning, Brady responded to Baltimore linebacker Terrell Suggs, who said after the Patriots 23-20 overtime triumph over the Ravens that Brady “just better hope he doesn’t see us again.”

When asked about Suggs’ comments, Brady said: “He had his chance, so maybe if he gets another chance he can try to back those words up. We play those guys a lot and they’ve only beat us once. They talk a lot for only beating us once in nine years.”
lol Raiders has their entire roster up for trade
That's like saying to the rest of the league; we fuckin suck and we're screwed
They should have never drafted Darren McFadden. I was calling during the draft that Felix Jones was vastly better, but Oakland went with McFadden. And even after they drafted him, they should have traded him while he was still hot, now everyone knows he isn't very good.

Quick Picks:

Atlanta Falcons over Cincinnati Bengals
Washington Redskins over Chicago Bears
Tennessee Titans over Philadelphia Eagles
Kansas City Chiefs over Jacksonville Jaguars
Pittsburgh Steelers over Miami Dolphins
New Orleans Saints over Cleveland Browns
St. Louis Rams over Tampa Bay Buccaneers
San Francisco 49ers over Carolina Panthers
Baltimore Ravens over Buffalo Bills
Seattle Seahawks over Arizona Cardinals
Oakland Raiders over Denver Broncos
San Diego Chargers over New England Patriots
Green Bay Packers over Minnesota Vikings
New York Giants over Dallas Cowboys

The Cleveland Browns were 4 - 12 last year.

Why in the hell are they playing the defending superbowl champs?

EDIT: Dear Browns,

It is currently 10 - 0. Please play a full game and win.

Thanks!

The refs at the Saints/Browns game are clearly insane. The Cribbs kick return was clearly not a fumble and the "catch" by Colt McCoy clearly hit him in the legs and fell to the ground. I wouldn't be surprised if the refs screw over either team near the end of the game with these kinds of stupid calls.

That punt/run was the best play I've seen out of Cleveland this year and it gave them a two score lead. The defense seems to be doing well to be able to contain Brees this much with the awful secondary that's been abused by every decent QB over the past few weeks.

Because they're playing the NFC South this year.

Edit: What an awful pass by Brees. The defensive line are better at defending the pass than the cornerbacks. I guess Drew Brees is really off if he can't get the same outcome as Roethlisberger, Palmer, and Flacco. I just hope that they can keep the momentum and shake things up on offense by just trying all sorts of random plays like they did with the punt.

What are you, retarded?

Ouch...that was...uncalled for. Thanks for making the effort to dis me, though.

While I enjoy watching the Browns, I'm not THAT into football. It was a simple question :)

I merely thought that bad teams got an easy schedule the following year.

Schedules are basically two games each against the teams in your division (6 games), one game each against two other divisions (8 games), and two other games that I'm not sure if there's a reason for their choices.

Easy enough. Thanks!

I really hope the Browns can hold on...

I need the bragging rights so I can rub it in all the faces of the Cincinnati fans that live around me. Same record!

Thanks for turning off the overtime game, CBS. Nobody was really interested in watching that anyway. Let's watch the first few drives of the New England/San Diego game instead.

Yeah, the NFL rules are a joke.

When I watch the Bills lose, I expect them to screw it up themselves. I don't expect the refs to ignore forward progress being stopped and allow the Ravens to hold a guy up and rip the ball from him.

Agreed, kind of pissed me off.

What. the. fuck... Am I seeing this score on NFL.com correctly? Is Oakland really up 21-0 only 10 minutes into the game?!?
I don't think Cutler realizes DeAngelo Hall actually plays for the Redskins.
He probably thinks Hall is one of his receivers lol. Works for me though, I picked up the Washington defense in one of my fantasy teams for this week.

Yeah! AHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA, make it stop. Sides killing me.

Do the Browns even play football?

I kid, I kid.

Please note that the Browns brand of play is not indicative of good football.
I merely thought that bad teams got an easy schedule the following year.
They do have an easier schedule than the Bengals, but interconference games are unaffected by last year's results.

Only in intraconference games does that make a difference.
WTF are up 31-0 30 seconds into 2nd quarter. Is this raiders we're talking about???
LOL, oh christ TOUCHDOWN! AHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!1!!!11!!
Tebow chant is starting. Like that's the solution to this problem.
Mass seppuku is the only solution for the Broncos now.

I'm thinking the Broncos should pack it in during the halftime, if they leave now they'll surely beat traffic cause its pretty damn certain they won't beat the Raiders.

59 points now. Any more points and they beat the team record for most points in a regular season game.

The Patriots just gave me 9 heart attacks. That win is definitely not going on the end of season highlight real.

A win is a win is a win though.

Good win by my Skins today.

Jay Cutler, God you suck. I mean, you REALLY suck.

Mike Martz, you are a complete joke. You are an NFL coach and you call plays like a 10 year old Madden noob.

Yeah Browns!! The Raiders game was shocking! What a wild week. I have no idea who will make it to the Superbowl. Its all up for grabs
Good win by my Skins today.
It was nice to win another close game, but I'm sick of these games going down the last minute every week!

Also, highlight of the weekend was seeing favre limping around the field.

"I've played against him before - there's no reason to shy away from him. That's hard to say after throwing four picks at a guy, but if we had to play him tomorrow, I'd go at him every time." - Jay Cutler on his performance in the Redskins loss.

Cutler proceeded to pass the interview to Johnny Knox. Knox was out of position and the interview was promptly taken over by DeAngelo Hall. Cutler responded, "Damn, didn't see that coming".

Favre has 2 fractures in his ankle. Conspiracy time - this will allow him to retire and get the hell out of this miserable season and handle all the Sterger stuff out of the spotlight.

I hope not. I hope he tries to trot out there on one leg against the Patriots, because if he's really that injured than Jackson probably gives them a better chance to win this week.
