Next time you're in NJ we can hook up.
Give that pokemon puzzle challange a go. It's surprisingly fun and addictive

I've resold a few of these, always in the $15 to $25 range. Anything Mario for the N64 fetchs about the same on e-bay
Awesome. I bought Super Mario 64 for 5 bucks from a friend, and now super smash bros tomorrow for 5 bucks.
I'm keeping this copy for myself, though.

Where did you got YSing at SnotKnocker? An alternate video game universe! If I was able to go to every sale listed in the paper today and bought every single game for sale I would think it's safe to say that I wouldn't have gotten half as many games have you picked up today and probably 95% percent of them would have been shit sandwich at least.

I have always gotten people that have a set range in price from ower for system and games (like the $75 N64 with about 20 games I saw a few weeks ago wouldn't sell any games alone)

I can only recall once getting a really good bunch of games overall from a yardsale with the impression that somebody was selling another's belongings. Somebody is probably going to be unhappy with that last batch being sold for pennies per an item SK :D

What a day today. Not a whole bunch of gaming stuff, but every yard sale had something cool.

After driving around for half an hour to a missing yard sale and finding the major road I would take to the next two closed, I threw away the first half of my GoogleMaps directions and headed towards a sale in a nearby familliar area...luckily, one that had stated they had video games.

I arrived as they were setting up; they told me to check back in half an hour so I scoped out some other nearby sales.

The first one had DVDs; I asked about video games and the woman pulls some out of a box in the garage, telling me she needs to figure out which ones her kids will play. Gran Turismo, a bunch of Maddens and NHLs, and Resident Evil 2 and 3 for the PSX. "Well, I don't want them playing these..." and she hands me the two complete, minty Resident Evils! She was asking $5 each for the games and DVDs, I CiF'ed her with a $20 and she countered with $25; I ended up with:

RE2 (PSX, CIB)
RE3 (PSX, CIB)
Manhunter 2-Disc Limited Edition
Shadow of the Vampire
The Fifth Element
Bruce Almighty
Zoolander
The Abyss: Special Edition

TOTAL: $25

I still had time to kill, and there was another sale down the block. They had only a few games; apparently they had sold most of their cartridges last year but left a PSX and SNES behind. I also spied Phantasmagoria for the PC on the table, all 7 discs, marked $3, along with some nifty knives. I CIFed $10, and walked away with

SNES with RFU adapter
Space Invaders (SNES)
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords (in NES Classic Zelda box w/ manual)
Phantasmagoria
Steel fold-out pocket knife
TOTAL: $10

Headed back to the first sale; all they had found were two Genesis games and two PS2 sports games, but they had a lot of neat "collectibles." I CiFed $5 and picked up:

Street Fighter 2: Special Champion Edition (Genesis, complete)
Jurassic Park (Genesis, with box)
Disney's Aladdin promotional poster
Corpse Bride action figure (McFarlane, in packaging)
TOTAL: $5...they were originally asking $7 for the figure alone

The next stop yeilded an unexpected find -- they had a bunch of comics in two big Staples/printer paper boxes. Asking $0.25-$1.00 each; I CiF'ed $20 for the lot. He countered with $30, I told him $20 was the best I could do, and, after thinking about it, accepted -- I could tell he just wanted to be rid of them.

Somewhere in the neighborhood of 200+ comics, mostly DC, from the 80s-90s
TOTAL: $20

The next one had HESS trucks and matchbox cars everywhere; it turned out the widow and son of a packrat were clearing out his treasures. I poked around and opened up a box that was sitting off to the side; and sitting there was a perfect Intellivision with about ffiteen games still in their original boxes. I considered offering $5, but I asked for prices on some other items to get a ball-park...they were only asking $1 each for MIB collectible cars, and "just wanted to be rid of everything," so I CIF'ed $2, which they gladly accepted.

Intellivision (with controllers, tv hookups, power supply and possibly a spare, and manual)
IntelliVoice Intellivision Voice Module (complete in box)
all games complete in box:
B-17 Bomber
Advanced Dungeons and Dragons
Advanced Dungeons and Dragons: Treasure of Tarmin
Astrosmash
Bomb Squad
Buzz Bombers
Pitfall!
Skiing
Space Battle
Star Strike
TRON Solar Sailer
Utopia
TOTAL: $2

At a final yard sale, I picked up Dilbert: It's Obvious You Won't Survive By Your Wits Alone for $0.25.

Overall, I spent $62.05 today...but what a haul.

Oh -- and yesterday morning, I stopped by another yard sale (who has one on a friggin' weekday morning?) on my way to work; the woman claimed she could get $250 for her Sega Saturn with no cable and twelve Atari games so she refused to sell me her box of miscellaneous gaming stuff for $10, so I just bought Pinball of the Dead (GBA, complete) for $2.

I get this all the time, $5 NES games, $15 for Madden 02 etc. In fact there was a woman last week that wanted $100 for a PS1. I usually do not post about that type of stuff anymore because I run across it so frequently. The majority of gaming stuff I find I pass on because I either dont need it for my collection or can't resell and make a couple of bucks.

All the stuff I've found the last few weeks fis rom unadvertised sales. While I usually start out with a list of sales to hit up 90% of the time I get side tracked by unlisted sales.
I am a little embarrassed to talk about my PS2 deal today after seeing everyone else's great deals, but I think I picked up a decent deal. For $100 I got an almost brand spankin new PS2 slim, 2 Logitech wireless controllers, Guitar Hero II, GHII wireless guitar, plus 9 decent to crappy PS2/Gamecube games. The PS2 and guitar look like they have no mileage whatsoever. All in all came out ahead over used prices in the store.
I hope those Logitech controllers have the receivers.. it doesn't look like they did in the picture.

Thanks for the attention to detail, but they are in the PS2 box. The PS2 and GHII set are pristine. I think the guy said that he had them for about a month, but now has a PS3, 360, and Wii, so he felt it wouldn't be used anymore.

I am trying to figure out a way to unload everything but the PS2 and come out a little bit ahead. Wouldn't mind keeping the GH but I will be getting it on the Wii when it comes out. I think the games, wireless controllers, and GH should more than cover the out front money. Already have a nibble on the Power Pad. Sorry if off topic.

By the way, when does everyone think that the Wii (or other next gen) stuff will start trickling into the yard sale rotation? I haven't seen anything yet. Has anyone else? My guess is next spring, doubt there will be much for the 2007 session.

Oh dang, you got Monster Party! If you've never played that, do it now.

I just hit a couple sales yesterday, both had games but nothing exciting. A 3rd party PS1 pad and gun at one sale, and some Midway classics Xbox game at another. The guy at the first said he had an N64, but couldn't find it.

But in other news, I did get the $10 broken PS2 working yesterday. Somehow one of the motors in it just came unplugged. v:roll:v

went to a annual town sale yesterday in NJ but didnt get much of anything

$20 for
Sega Genesis 2
Sega Nomad
15 cart only games
clue

Family Feud
Wheel of fortune
Jeporady
Pacman 2
Paperboy 2
Lawnmower man
Lion king
Aladdin
Sonic 2
Desert Demolation

i normally would have just brought the nomad and maybe a few games but my mother was the one that found it since i was a little late getting there so i just told her to buy it all

4 GB games $2
Nfl Blitz
Mole Mania
Qix
Space Invaders

SNES
Choplifter 3 $1

random PS2, PS1 booklets $1 (nothing rare)

did see a few things that caught my attention at one sale...a Selectavision system with a 150 movies for $75...never seen one before and at first i thought it was laserdiscs but i guess this came out before laserdiscs...and they also had a ton of ps1 jewel cases with just the back inserts but they were all common games so i didnt bother

Brace yourself for this long post.
Wow, I guess I sure got lucky today. I hadn’t originally planned on yardsailing today, but when my dad and I were running some errands, we saw a sign for a rummage sale at a now closed school. A soccer team was having a sale there. I thought that this might be where I score big. Most of the people were my age (15-19 years old), so I thought this would be good. When I entered I noticed a guy had an n64, 3 controllers, 4 games, and about 10 ps2 games. He was asking $5 each for Mario Kart (Which I bought) and $5 for Diddy Kong Racing, and $2 each for two sports games. I already have a copy of Mario Kart, but I thought I couldn’t go wrong for $5. At about the third table I spotted what I was looking for. A box filled with NES and SNES games, and a smaller box of 9 games right beside it. I put the small box on top of the big box, because I assumed they were together, and asked how much they were. A girl said that they wanted $1 each. I asked if $20 would be fine, but she wasn’t sure and had to wait for the person running the table to return, and all of a sudden some lady (not even working at the sale) interrupted me, and that got my blood boiling. We had a nice little chat that went like this.

Her: 20 dollars? Are you serious?
Me: Yeah, why not?
Her: Well they go for a lot more at a flea market or ebay.
Me: Well this doesn’t look like a flea market or ebay, does it now?
Her: Well they could get a lot more if they sold it at a flea market or ebay.
Me: Listen, this is a fundraiser for a soccer team. If they want to sell them on ebay or at a flea market, they can. But it doesn’t seem as if they want to, seeing as they put on this sale.
Her: Well that’s still low. Some guy was looking at them earlier on today.
At this point I noticed that she had a bag in her hand that contained a nes, and possibly a few games, I’m not sure.
Me: Well he didn’t buy them. And if you ask me, it seems as if you’re a little angry that you paid a bit too much for that NES there, so why don’t you mind your own business. Also, a fair number of these games are sports games, which aren’t worth much at all, and there aren’t any manuals, so they wouldn’t sell for much on ebay.

(Turns out there were some manuals at the bottom of the box)
At this point she just turned around and left, and I waited for the person who was selling the games to return.
So the lady selling the games returned, and I CIF’d a crisp twenty in her face. She looked hesitant, and said “ummmmm… I guess”. I also noticed a rumble pack and a transfer pack for N64, but I was all out of cash.
Also, as I was leaving I heard the interrupting lady saying “I know it says $5, but will you take $2.50?”
Geez, some people.
Pics before the list.
Sorry, I suck at taking pictures.
Out of all of the games I only had two of them before, so I'm happy.
For $25 canadian, I think I did okay.

Now with the asteriks. I noticed that these games do not have the Nintendo official seal, and have different cartridges. Can someone shed some light on what's the story for me?
Also, I'm pretty new to collecting (First year). Can someone tell me some must play games I got, or some that are valuable?
Thanks.

Those are unlicensed games. Tengen is one of the more well-known publishers. American Game Carts published the Death Race cart. There are others such as Camerica that are harder to come across. So basically companies such as these went ahead and published their games for the NES without being officially licensed through Nintendo.

NES.jpg

This was my first yard sale trip. I haven't been to yard sales in years and have been finding most of my games at flea markets. After reading Dom and Lizs blog though, I tried it out again and found quite a lot in our small town.

The first NES and games came from a woman selling a box of old games for $10. It had two zapper guns, two controllers but no hook-ups.
-Mario/Duck Hunt
-Star Wars: Empire Strikes back
-Dr. Mario
-Rad Racer
-Ninja Giaden
-Tennis
-Life Force
-Foxs Peter Pan and the Pirates
-Pac Mania

The second one came from a guy selling his old NES for $5 including all the games. It came with all the hookups, two controllers, 1 zapper gun and;
-The Adventures of Bayou Billy
-Hogans Alley
-Joe and Mac
-Nascar Challenge
-Super Mario bros. 2
-Super Mario bros. 3
-Mario/Duck Hunt
-Turtles III: Manhattan Project
-Pinball
-Offroad

I stopped by a flea market and found the sega saturn games for $2.50 each and Shaq-fu I got with the box and game, but no manual.

There were great finds. When I saw them at the thrift store I was shaking ^^; I've been reading about some of the finds here for a while and thinking I could never find a good deal, but I did.

Paddythechump-Ninja Gaiden is pretty good. I got that myself and I really liked (minus the hawks), plus battletoads is a classic.

Finally back in the US and done with the wedding. Can't wait to Yard Sale this week but I did hit up the flea market and had a pretty good day.

Digimon World 2
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (2 of them)
12$

Baldurs Gate 2 XBOX no manual
6$

Call of Duty 2 PS2
2$

Huge Mario Kart Telephone
5$

3 In Box 12 inch Sonic figures
10$

All NIB
Mario Kart Remote Control Yoshi
Mario Kart Remote Control Donkey Kong
Japanese Mario RC Car
30$
More than I wanted to pay but I think the RC Mario Karts are fairly rare

Official NES Case for games and Gun/Controller
3$

Pokemon Blue
1$

Went to a flea market this weekend and got this for $10

Shelock Holmes Consulting Detective (with manual and case - No Box)
Davis Cup Tennis PC Engine Duo - No spine card
Neo Nectaris PC Engine Duo - No Spine Card

Neo Nectaris was the game I wanted (Military madness 2) and he threw in the other two games. I dont believe I have ever seen a PC Engine Duo game in the wild, just bought one of a ebay a few weeks ago and I was planning on buying the games on ebay, almost paid $30 plus shipping for Neo Nectaris last week, and then I find it at a flea market:) What are the odds?

Not a great weekend for video games and yard sales in Coweta county. I went to ONE yard sale and got Driver (PS1) for $3.00. I pretty much drove all over the county looking for the sales.

I went to another yard sale in a very nice higher-income subdivision and picked up 2 Lacoste shirts for $4.00 each. They fit perfectly.

If I can find Ralph Lauren Polo shirts or Sperry Topsiders that are nearly new that would be awesome.

Not much today. Grabbed a PS2 DVD Remote and reciever for $1.50 at one sale, they drove around for a while and didn't find anything. Went back to a sale I stopped by last week that mentioned games that they couldn't find to see if they were out this week. They took another look and brought out 2 N64s, 4 controllers, and some games out. Nothing good as far as games went (Wrestling, Mortal Kombat, Army Men, something with the label totally missing, all very dirty), and all the controllers were gritty or loose, and one was chewed on by a dog. But, one system had the Expansion Pak in it, which I have been looking for. They asked for $10, I countered with $5 and offered to go home and grab my Jumper Pak so they'd still have a working system. Not a super great deal, but still pretty good compared to eBay prices.

Woo finally found something worth posting about. This has been one slow season for me.

Second garage sale I ran into this beauty. The Korean Samsung Saturn! I had no idea Samsung made a version of the Saturn.... Nothing on ebay and the few matchs I found on google seem to think it is rare. Is it actually worth anything? I found it at a yard sale run by a really nice Korean family, the lady wanted $20.00 at first but we haggled down to $14.00.
http://nfggames.com/games/grafx/samsat.htm

Sadly only 4 of the games were legit. The others are copies
The four real ones
Guardian Heroes
Gunbird
Tenchi O Kurau II
Dynamite Deka
Not going to bother naming the copies.

Total: $14.00

I felt pretty bad about spending that much on it but it is a neat looking version.

PC games! I asked about video games and he mumbled about thinking no one would want the things. He went into the house for awhile and came back with these.
Guild Wars
Ages of empire III
Rome Total War

Total: $2.00

(Picture up above)
Sennheiser HDR-130 wireless headphones. The guy originally wanted $25.00 but we haggled for awhile. I wasn't too sure on value but I figured I could not go wrong at $10.00
Total: $10.00

Not a bad week!

Today was a slow day, but I did grab something small at almost every sale.

Before I even set out this morning, there were some things I had to do...and I passed a yard sale on the way. CIFed $2 for Pokemon Blue and Gold.

The first sale after I left with the intent to go yard saling only had one game when I asked; a copy of Earthworm Jim for the SNES. They were asking $2, I CIF'ed $1, they took it.
1232986337_7fb226ef3b.jpg

Earthworm Jim (SNES)
TOTAL: $1

The next sale had a few games; I CIF'ed $3 to the kid selling them and picked up:

1232986347_f3cccb2698.jpg

Jurassic Park (SNES, price sticker tore the label half-off; dammit)
PaperBoy 2 (SNES)
Eternal Darkness (cube, in Blockbuster DVD case with original box art, no manual)
TOTAL: $3

I was going to give up at one sale when I saw a lone NES sitting under a table. I asked if they had any games or the hookups for it...and a few minutes later, the family flew into a rage realizing that someone had effectively stolen what they claimed to have been "a huge tote of games and controllers" half an hour prior.

I CIF'ed a buck and ended up with:

1232986359_0b7f3eebb5.jpg

NES Console (no connectors or controllers)
Super Mario Bros
TOTAL: $1

At this point, I was near Loca Best Buy #2; having had exceptional luck with guides yesterday at another store, I checked this one and found:

Prey x3
GRAW2 x3
God of War 2 x4
TOTAL: $0.10

On the way home, I swung by a local semi-permanent yard sale and found a neat lttle treasure trove:
1232986327_4b7861215b.jpg

Street Fighter Alpha 3 (PSX, complete)
Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare (Complete)
Sonic 2 (complete)
Sonic & Knuckles (Complete)
Sonic 2 (Game Gear, sealed, x7!)
TOTAL: $18

And there was one last sale in my neighborhood, I saw a stack of N64 games marked $2 each. I CIF'ed $5 for the stack.

1232986355_c3c9037197.jpg

Banjo Tooie
Donkey Kong 64
Hey You, Pikachu
Madden 2000
Mickey Speedway USA
Rugrats Scavenger Hunt
Toy Story 2
Wave Race 64
WWF Warzone

It all depends on where you live. I haven't seen that many, Unless you count the DS.

Don't feel too bad about spending that much on Saturn stuff. You don't see stuff like that very often. I've only seen saturn stuff maybe 3 or 4 times over the last two or three years of saling. I don't know too much about that version of the saturn, but it's still pretty cool.

You got a rare system and Guardian Heroes. You have no right to complain.

Ok here we go, this spans this week and last week

Last week:

Psone system with power cord, av cords and controller - 5$

High frequency dreamcast controller - clear green - 1$

NES quickshot controller (joypad) - 1$

3 Video game guides - 50 cents each, Final fantasy crystal chronicles, prima pokemon r/s, and .hack mutation, the .hack guide is up for trade on my list.

This week:

Sonic Adventure 2 Dreamcast - complete and nice - 2$

Worms armageddon dreamcast - complete and nice 2$

N64 Rush 2 extreme racing w/manual - 2$ also has clear blue N64 case- never seen one of those cases before

TremorPak Plus for N64 - 1$, looks like a memory card + rumble pack thing
You got a rare system and Guardian Heroes. You have no right to complain.
Haha well at the time I had no idea it was rare. It wasn't until I got into the car and I noticed the large amount of copied games that I got my buyers remorse. I rushed the haggling because of the people hovering around as she talked about the system. Pointing out all the bootleg games could have gotten me a better price!

You have got to love the eavesdroppers who drop pearls of wisdom like, "Those video games are expensive you know" as you try and negotiate a better price. In retrospect I still got a decent deal

Edit: Seems the system is a dud. Any disc I put in refuses to spin up. Some interesting things though that differ from that article. The reset button works fine and there are LED start up lights. I'll try picking up a lens cleaner when I get a chance in case that's the issue. What a shame

Edit: False alarm! Opened her up and found a disconnected cable. Put it back in and she fires up like a champ. The power on LED and the disc reading LED are actually far more attractive than my US mode.

A Samsung Saturn?? Wow, never even heard of that.

That sounds like a marketing tactic to avoid anti-Japanese sentiment in Korea -- the same reason Nintendo markets themselves as iQue in China. (ie, the GBA SP is called the iQue SP, DS is iQue DS)

As sad as it sounds it could be true I remember a year or two ago at the one sale when I asked about video games the people running the sale were telling me about how somebody just picked up a sega and games and walked off when it was really busy in the morning. I even remember one time over hearing some people at a sale saying something about how somebody just picked up book(s) and walked off with them!

I don't think you can get much lower then stealing from a yardsale!

A couple of finds yesterday and a couple today.

1001375qc3.jpg

Black GBA SP - like new in box
FF DOS
Kirby
Lunar Legend
KOF EX
TOTAL: $10
This sale had a wicker basket with some cheesy PS2 games marked $3 and various accessories. I dug to the bottom and found the SP and games. I tried to CIF $10 for the basket but was shot down and the guy came back with $30. I then CIF'd the same $10 for the SP and games. The guy came back with $20 telling me the sp is like new and hardly used, his son got it as a gift but already had one. I stuck to my guns and told him that $20 was a good price but all I could afford to pay for it is $10. he thought for a long moment and took it.

1001377ld1.jpg

400 watt power inverter
TOTAL: $2 This was sealed in package when I bought it. It had some moisture inside the packages like it had been left out in the rain or something. The lady wanted $2 so I took the chance and bought it, luckily it works perfectly. Looks like I'll be playing my Nomad now on lunch breaks

Also picked up some DVDs
Borat
Smoking Aces
Rocky Balboa
Saw 3
Polar Express
TOTAL: $10
This guy had a ton of DVD's and wanted $3 and $4 each. I picked these out cause I have not seen them yet except for Polar Express. I CIF'd $10 which he took.

I almost forgot . Friday I stopped at a lonely YS on my lunch break and picked up. Xenogears complete in excellent shape other than a cracked case and you don't know jack for $1. this sale had a blanket with tons of crap VHS books forks canned goods etc. There were a bunch of crappy PS1 games disc only in very bad shape. These were the only 2 that had cases. Sign said .50 any item on blanket. Can't really beat that.

Sadly people DO steal things from yard sales, and its very common around here. I have witnessed it a couple times myself, the most common is to steal discs out of cases and then just leave the cases. I try to do the right thing by warning anyone selling games or electronics (or things that can easily be put in a purse) that they could easily be stolen if they are not watching their stuff.

Ideally people should make a list of the games they have and just post that, instead of putting the product out where it can be easily stolen, or just put out the cases. Especially since half the time I roll up to a yard sale the sellers are in the house or nowhere to be found with lots of expensive electronics and games lying out on the tables just waiting for someone to grab them. Or the game are far away or under a tent from where the people who are running the yard sale are.

I expected to find ditily shit but got an alright haul. spent a little more then i usualy do but its all good. i was on my way to one i saw in the paper and got lost along the way and stopped at a few.

oh and i also found an sega AC pack at the very first place i stopped at. i think its for the genesis but i have to check it. snagged it for 50c. the fucker wanted 2 bucks and then gave me a line of shit that he was going to melt it down for copper. i said i had a system at home that needed power and would give him 50 or he could melt it for nothing. i won.

Very nice finds. Sales have been pretty slow in my area. I'm also trying to go to less since I need to save the money for other things, like a new computer.

Great finds Potato guy! A Sega CD, SNES (with great games) and an atari 7800, even better if they all work!) It was too hot here so most yard sales were cancelled. I went to a backwater yard sale (crossing a 1 lane no railing bridge and a flock of geese) to find a guy selling a PS1 game Driver/Driver2 with black permanent ink on it for $50...

Very slow week for games or anything else. Was misty rainy all morning

I already have a game genie so if you have any other snes to trade?

Wow, some awesome finds.

Although I did have a massive score off of craigslist yesterday. Spent more than I wanted to, but for these I think it was worth it...guy posted an ad for NES, SNES, Genesis, N64, GB and GBA, and PS1 games, no list of the games, but had pricing per system - it was like $3 for NES, $4 for SNES and Genesis, and $5 for the N64, PS1, and GB/GBA games.

I emailed him and he sent me the list he had, and I might have pooped myself slightly when I saw it. I emailed him back the ones I wanted (total with his pricing would have been $82 if I recall correctly), asked if we could meet up, we did so yesterday morning.

When I met up with him, and checked the games, I CiFed him $50 for the following...he was hesitant but I told him some of the cartridges had game store stickers etc., all the cartridges were cartridge only, and a few of the PS1 games were missing their manuals etc. So he took it. I cleaned and tested them all last night...everything works beautifully.

I may be forgetting a couple but I got:

NES

Strider
Bayou Billy
Dragon Warrior 2 and 3 (no 4 damn it!)

Genesis

Batman the game
General Chaos
Landstalker

SNES

Street Fighter 2, Super Street Fighter 2, and the other one...Hyper Street Fighter 2 Turbo or something like that
Super Gameboy - does this work with gameboy color games?

N64

Mario Kart 64...he had a ton of N64 games, but nothing really good except for this

Gameboy Color/Gameboy Advance

Zelda Oracle of Seasons - can I play these on the DS, or only the SP?
Zelda Oracle of Ages- can I play these on the DS, or only the SP?
Metroid Fusion (dude had Metroid Zero Mission listed as well, but sold it the night before, damn it...but I already have it as well as Fusion. Would have been great trading fodder though).
Zelda Link to the Past/4 Swords

PS1

Now this is where I really scored...
Lunar Silver Star - complete, beautiful but no manual/box (I think it came in the box)
Lunar Eternal Blue - again, complete, beautiful condition but no manual/box
Legend of Mana - complete, non Greatest Hits (don't know for sure if there was a GH version, but I think there was)
Resident Evil 2 & 3, both missing manuals only, cracked cases

20 cherry picked games and the Super Nintendo Gameboy player for $50...not bad for $2.50 a game, though that's more than I would pay for loose NES and SNES cartridges.

As for the Super Game Boy, it can only play the black cartridge GBC games. If it's one of the clear cartridge games (i.e. the ones that were only compatible with the GBC and not playable on the original GB), it won't work on the SGB.

thumbs up for the DW find. big neg-a-reno on the super gameboy. it plays only gb carts. no gbc. if i remember right the psx version of lunar came in a larger box with a hard cover manual and a cloth map. not sure if the second one did or not but i remember a ton of disks with a soundtrack too, maybe?

I don't know the exact place to post this, and I don't feel important enough to start my own thread, but here's a nice account of my afternoon. I was coming home from work, turning in to my driveway, when I noticed something white and shiny in the middle of the road, right in front of my mailbox.

I have recreated what I saw using my bed instead of the road.

Hmm, what the heck could this be?

Oh you have got to be kidding me. There can't be a game in this thing...

No fucking way!

I did the neighborly thing and went to the houses I knew had kids that were near my house, and no one claimed it. The case and manual are pretty beat up, it looks like they got run over at least once, but the disc is great except from one little dimple. Hopefully that won't break it. So far so good. :)

Make a new thread, it's definitely worth it! Hilarious and awesome, I'd really love to know how that happened.
