Bruce struck again, ha. Look how subtle he makes it, too - by planting his foot after tossing the knee out.

Was this an ESPN replay off SportsCenter (meaning did analysts talk about this?) or did you create this GIF from the actual game? Just wondering if there was any commotion for this play. I didn't get to see the entire game so I missed this.

Don't get me wrong D'Antoni has brought a different system into the NBA (I hate it though), a different way of playing ball. But after watching last night's game he whines the most out of any coach in the league, I mean look at him in that GIF...

I won't be suprised if this series ends in a fistfight

Where's the GIF of Marion's finger going into Ginobli's eye? The same thing could be said, Marion didn't have position G would have gone right by him. Neither team is dirty, but this series definetly is for both sides.

My money is on Phoenix, although both teams have a Frenchmen on them.
Bah... I'm not home to follow a Pistons game for the first time this post-season, and they lose.
Good, make sure to do that again on Tuesday night

Well at least I'll be there rooting them on regardless :D
I kinda wish Okur would've landed on his head there at the end, that would've served him right two fold.
Jason Richardson yelling "Stop being a pussy" at Okur assuaged the pain of the loss for me.
Jason Richardson yelling "Stop being a pussy" at Okur assuaged the pain of the loss for me.
 Seriously, what the hell was Okur thinking? Hmm, we're up 11, I should go in and dunk on them!

That was probably the last game in Golden State, kind of a crappy way for them to go out.

I can't see a team as young, and as dependant upon momentum as the Warriors are, to be able to rebound and win in Utah. The Warriors really needed to win one of those first 2 games (and they could've won both had they made their free throws) in order to win this series.

what about BD's cheap shot against Derek Fisher.. I mean what was that about..

I'm glad the refs stopped calling everytime the warriors fell down that they called fouls.. you can see the toll on the warriors and if the jazz continue to excecute weather the mini runs that GS gets the jazz should win game 5..

I hope the Jazz play the Suns in the next round GS is kinda like Suns warm up..

Okur probably shouldn't have gone up.. but why do you need to foul like that? i mean taking cheap shots... GS=dirtiest team that is not the San Antonio Spurs.

Agreed, Davis shouldn't have done that. Okur got what he deserved though. There's no probably about it, trying to rub in the victory on GS' home floor is just plain stupid. He's lucky he didn't get hit harder. That hit doesn't make Golden State the second dirtiest team in the league though. There's still Sacramento and obviously New York. The Knicks are probably even dirtier than San Antonio, when you factor in that incident against Denver. The problem is despite being dirty, the Knicks still suck, which is comical. I'm surprised Stephen Jackson didn't hit anyone.

Anyway, I hope the Jazz play the Suns in the next round too, but I think that's just wishful thinking. You know Utah can't beat San Antonio. Give Utah credit for likely reaching the WCF, but I'd say their series with San Antonio lasts no more than 5 games. On the otherhand Utah could possibly upset Phoenix...
There's still Sacramento and obviously New York.
The Knicks aren't dirty. Well, Nate Robinson has a bit of a mean streak, but that's it.

The Knicks are probably even dirtier than San Antonio, when you factor in that incident against Denver.

The only Knicks in the wrong versus Denver were Nate Robinson, and to a lesser extent, Mardy Collins.

Mardy is tough as nails, and was brought in by Isiah Thomas to make a point; the Knicks were getting blown out yet Denver still had starters in at the end of the game, running up the score, despite the unwritten code of sportsmanship that if one team 'gives up,' generally the winner will accept that instead of showboating.

Well, Isiah brought Mardy in with the unsaid acceptance that he'd make things tough on Denver's starters. He had the hard foul (and it was nothing more, just a hard foul; borderline flagrant-one). JR Smith overreacted, and it should have ended there. Mardy just stood his ground. Then, yeah, Nate came over and started heating things up a bit more, but JR Smith then tackles the guy. Again, Smith overreacted just as badly as Nate, if not moreso. Next thing you know, Carmelo a) pulls down Channing Frye from behind out of nowhere and then poses over him as if it were a toughguy move, then b) comes out of nowhere and sucker punches Mardy Collins and proceeds to run away (per his Yellow Melo nickname) as Jared Jeffries tries to make things right after Carmelo's bitch-shot.

So the Nuggets thing really is not an example of the Knicks being dirty. If the Knicks are a dirty team because of that, the Nuggets are a filthy team deserving to be booted out of the league. If anything, the Knicks aren't dirty enough; they're soft as a pillow, with only a couple of players who have enough of a mean streak in their bellies to even let it slip out every now and then.
i hafta say that BD's elbow was pretty lame.

i lost a good chunk of my respect for him, but damn he can ball.
I'll tell ya, I didn't lose any respect for Baron. I can feel where he's coming from.

Golden State is such an emotional team; they thrive on it and falter on it. Probably more than any team in the playoffs, their success lives on positive energy, a hyped up crowd, a big run of points, etc (as evidenced by the massive differential between their home record and away record this season). So when they're at home and everything is still going wrong, frustration is bound to set in; it comes with the territory with players who live and die on raw emotion to play their style of basketball.

So just accept his foul as a move of frustration. I don't think it was a premeditated attack on the guy, it was just a split-second opportunity to take down a Jazz player who had been getting the better of him. One of those things that'll happen from time to time, especially with a hothead like Baron Davis.

The Warriors would have had a better chance winning had they not attempted so many 3 pt shots.

Especially at the beggining of the third quarter, when they were just dominating on defense, they needed to take it to the hole to seal the deal, instead of everyone hanging around outside the arc and taking shots. There were a couple times when the Jazz were spread out outside and I was yelling at the Warriors to drive in.

Okur shouldn't have tried to go up for the dunk.. but really.. BD was lucky against AK the other night too.. ah well..

I really hope Utah plays the Suns.. we have the best shot at going to the finals against them.. especially since its going 6-7 games right now.. and if we go to the finals.. the jazz have the best shot against detroit.. but i would love to see the jazz play the cavs... the boozer boos will be so loud..and i think it would be a great series.

fuck Stu Jackson. How does Bowen not get suspended after what all happened last year with all the suspensions.

Richardson also better be suspended since Stack made the same move and he got suspended last year.

I'm glad Bowen didn't get suspended. When the Suns go in tonight and bust their chops the Spurs can't use the excuse that they were missing one of their lockdown defenders. Nash will put this team on his back tonight and lead them to victory.

game 5 of the jazz warriors.. if things don't go the warriors way early expect major meltdowns and stupid hard fouls..

again.. okur should have drove.. but yet when baron davis dunks on AK with 2 minutes left and up by 20 no one says "he shouldn't have drove the lane.. when the outcome is purely acedemic" I mean.. whatever..

I hope the suns win.. Jazz/Suns games have been the best to watch all season (except for that last blowout near the end of the season.. the others all were close and went to OT)

I'm more excited about Shaq Daddy joining the TNT crew tonight. Should be 2 entertaining half-times and a great post-game show.

fuck Shaq!

(Sorry, I have always wanted to type that. plus I am a Magic fan so I really don't like Shaq)

That's just the only way Golden State knows how to play- that's their style. Apparently Nelly wants them to jack up > 30 a game. It's a huge risk v. reward deal. They got by the Mavs b/c the Mavs had no post players to dominate the paint and were content to just jack up J's. The opposite is true for Utah, and that is the reason why the Jazz will win the series. Plus, the nonstop 3s take a toll on the team physically. The true reason for the Warriors being behind in the series, however, is their inability to defend the paint and rebound. Layups will beat threes most days of the week.

Just as a side note, I had absolutely no problem with JR fouling Okur hard. Nothing wrong with that play. There's a point where a team has to defend their pride, and if Okur decides to show them up then he must accept the consequences. That's old school ball right there, perfectly acceptable.

Hell yeah... and can we please make a rule, unless another blatant dirty play happens, no one call any team dirty. IMO, you're just saying that cause you know you're going to get spanked. :applause:

I have no idea how Bowen doesn't get suspended. I fucking HATE dirty play, BUT if I was Mike D'Antoni, I'd send out an enforcer. If the league isn't going to do anything then you have to send your 12th man out there and lay the smackdown on some fools. Bowen has done pussy stuff out on the court to make up for his lack of actual talent his whole career. I don't know how else to say it.

the difference here is that b. diddy dunked on Ak47 ON THEIR HOME COURT...it's what the home crowd wants...if it was at utah, it would have been uncalled for...just like J.R. smith trying to dunk at madison sqare garden against the knicks earlier this season...it was uncalled for since it was at the knicks home court where the fans dont want the opposing team to show off...home courts love their players, that's why it's "okay" in my book to showboat at home

and yes, we know that you want the jazz vs suns..this is what, the 3rd time you've said this?

i do too though since i want a suns vs pistons finals

Shaq came out swinging at Kenny and Charles 2 minutes into Inside the NBA.

I'm looking forward to the half-time show. Those first 10 minutes already had me rolling.

You know, the series getting the least attention is on right now, and it's definetly not the worst. The Nets could make it interesting and win tonight. I was afraid the LeBrons were going to win in 5.

I'm not a huge Cavs fan (haven't lived here long enough, and probably never will be), but I'll take them over the Nets any day of the week.

A shame that Cavs and Nets game ended the way it did. With only a few seconds left on the shot clock, ending a game with a turnover leaves a sour taste in the mouth like a baseball game ending with runners on and a player striking out while looking.

Is there any reason not to hate Lebron James? All she does is    bitch, bitch, bitch,   , bitch, bitch, bitch. Seriously, like a freakin' 80 year old Hebrew woman, nothing but bitching all the time. Someone needs to slap him and then tell him to stop biting his nails on camera too.

doesn't get much better than that if you're routing for the pitching team

I like the guy but he cares about stats too much. Whenever he is in mid-court with a few seconds left before the buzzer, he always makes sure he launches the ball AFTER the buzzer ends ensuring his shot doesn't count. I've seen him do this a number of times this season including tonight at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Well you can't get a good shot of with 2 people trying to trap you at half court. I wouldn't say Lebron is a stats guy. This is a man coming into the league that wasn't a very good 3 point shooter, but that didn't stop him from still firing them up in attempts to get better. Honestly I don't know how anyone can hate Lebron, except for the finger nail chewing, that does even annoy me a little.

I don't hate LeBron at all, but I can see why some people hate him. He was hyped up so much out of high school, got 90 million instantly (some people begin hating there) He backed up almost all the hype, and he does complain about calls, but today what player doesn't? The reason I don't like the Cavs is, they definetly won't win a championship with the current roster... make some moves!

Anyway a good half with 2:33 left in the Spurs v Suns game, more of the Spurs style play tonight. It's been kind of sloppy though (more than usual)

I liked James in high school, and James when he first came into the pros. When he started all his bitching and whining, despite all his money, and all his God-given talent, that's when I drew the line. He already gets some ridiculous calls, how much do you want. Seriously, at 22 years of age he's living the dream life, and it's apparently not good enough for him.

Yes, you're right, because that's EXACTLY what I said, almost word for word too. :applause:

Not giving a fuck about the game and not bitching are IDENTICAL concepts. Good job at pointing that out to everyone.

Bitching can sometimes allude to passion for the game. Look at Sheed, I love it when he bitches. Not being sarcastic either.

Well when you're talking out of your ass it is hard to interpret what you are trying to say.
Well when you're talking out of your ass it is hard to interpret what you are trying to say.
Which is exactly why you need to stop doing that.
I do not understand all the ZL hate.
You have your fans, you have your enemies. I've been rather opinionated in this thread, so that's what happens.

Obviously, Mr. Ryles is a very big Lebron fan, and he feels the need to defend his hero when I'm just pointing out that I liked him until he (James) started bitching about every call that didn't go his way. Sometimes even bitching when a call has gone his way before he realizes his team got the call.

This is only going to intensify when the Pistons play the Cavs in the next round.
