Agreed... The top cards are extremely over priced when I look at games like Madden... I think the whole system in NHL is broke and they should pretty much copy Madden's and even FIFA's way of doing it. The training and Salary portion are broken. Just make cards have to stay where they are and don't have salaries matter. Yea you will get super teams, but you get the anyway. I bought a Mackinnon on your advice for 4500, using the 15 game training and a few upgrades he is a 99 for 15 games... sorry but I think that is somewhat dumb and shouldn't be allowed

Do a base pack with some elite players around 90, then do some promos with team of the week and way more collections that reward you good cards, and challenges, offline challenges would be great!

 
Yeah...so that crazy douche I played a week or two ago...who had all the most expensive players...I ran into him again (didn't realize till after the game started since he changed his team name). He bought more...

I just...I can't even process how much this team would cost. I don't think it's crazy to think this guy has spent over $500 on this game.

 
They sell 2 million pucks now for like $5 all over now sadly. So barely $500. Also there is a glitch going around where you can get a jumbo pack for 100 pucks.

That is horrible. This is why anybody who complains about me position locking can suck my sweaty balls. Yeah...I'm a "pussy" for playing Center. But buying all the best players and still using douche tactics is totally legit.

For me, it's really either playing position locked or the game is basically a single player offline game.

Yeah...I kind of feel that way too. Until 14 just becomes a pointless exercise in searching for games, it's still more reliable in actually being able to play the game.

So I havent playerd NHL 15 HUT in about a week and a half, but wtf happened to contract card values? I don't need any, but I did notice that the average price is all over the board now, but the lowest are like 400/500, and way more than a hand full over 1K. It used to be like 250/300 consistenly. Could be a good time to offload a bunch of my contracts if thats the normal price now.

They sell coins now? I've never heard or seen that, but if they do that's bullshit.

Another pack glitch? Great. Where do you hear about these anyway? I haven't seen anything.

As for contract prices, I think most of it had to do with 2x pucks for the past two weeks.
 
Yeah...they've had a happy hour going for a good while now...and it just inflated everything. If you're persistent, you can still find the 28 game contracts in the 400-500 range...which is basically all I look for now. Again, I considered making a run at completing the Nashville collection...but buying a Shea Weber outright just seems so ridiculous. He's like 350,000 coins.

Also, I'm REALLY sick of seeing Datsyuk on like every fucking team. Basically everybody I play now has him and just dingle dangles around like a fucktard.

 
Yes, just like Fifa Coins, Madden footballs (is that what they use? I don't know. Lol?). Guy racks them up and sells them. I get a ton of spam XBL messages sending me websites for any game you want currency in. Of course if you caught, expect the ban. Hell, a guy on twitch use to give out 1 million fifa coins in a raffle for his subscribers. Been around since they started the ultimate team BS.

My last game went exactly this way. Guy had Lemieux, Lindros, and Sakic...in addition to Datsyuk (of course), Kane and others. I tied the game up with less than 10 seconds left and he got pissed, pausing the game so the replay wouldn't show. Then, he came down the ice in OT, flipped a simple wrist shot on, and it just went in.

That was when I discovered the happy hour period has finally ended...and I don't need to worry about playing HUT so obsessively anymore, lol :lol:

On a side note...OM-freaking-G this WWE 2K15 install. 21.5gb and taking for-damn-ever.

Yes, I'm just now opening my Hulkamania Edition copy. I got worried I "dun goof'd" when they ended up not being very rare at all. But I was able to just return the PS4 copy I had bought in hopes of lowering my own cost. So, it's still a $100 CE...but at least I didn't screw myself over, haha.

Just saw the newest Payday 2 update from 1/2 added a free melee weapon with its own achievement. The patch notes are pretty great too, basically calling out Hardline, haha.

It's still crazy to me that this game has been updated 51 times. For a moderately large release, where they could have just moved on to making Payday 3, that's pretty incredible.

Oh okay I thought you meant EA was doing it or something. If I recall didn't they start out doing that when they first introduced HUT back in 11 or 12 (forget what year was the first to have it). I thought they made it back then so you could buy pucks in addition to packs.

I had a couple matchups like that over the weekend and yesterday. I had one guy that I took a picture of that I'll have to post a little later. Then yesterday I ran into the ultimate douchebag. He had Gretzky, Lemiux, Crosby, Malkin, Stamkos, Roy, Datsyuk, Ovi, Lindros, Chara, P.K., Bure, Kane, and a few others that are 200k+. We ended up going into OT tied at 1 and he pulled out a short-side wrister with 15 seconds to go. The shittiest thing was that he got an odd man rush that lead to it after high-sticking my D-man when he was going for a shot. My D-man was going down the ice holding his face without a stick.

Do you think that's a shot at Hardline or more at GTA V with their recent announcement about Online Heists coming early this year? It seems like calling out GTA V would be more likely since Battlefield hasn't pushed the Heist aspect as much compared to it being more just a new take on the Battlefield series.

As for the updates, that's one thing I love seeing with some of these studios. I was commenting on that to Darktower a few weeks back in regards to Titanfall and how Respawn has done a nice job of supporting that to the point that the game is barely a shadow of what it was at release. Now if only another EA partner did the same thing.... Hmm. *Looks at last tuner update still being from October*

Yeah, I still don't understand what aversion EA has to just calling the game legitimately. Do they really believe missed calls makes the game more enjoyable? Or they think it's a fun aspect because "you win some, you lose some"...except that for some people, that's ALL they do because they know it has a higher chance of being successful than drawing a penalty.

The game generally just has no sense of context at all. Skating ahead of somebody at full speed with the puck? Perfect stick lift because his defense rating is really high. Pay no attention that it defies the laws of science as he somehow catches up AND reaches through your body.

Same thing with penalties...I feel like people get away with shit because of that "discipline" rating. Nevermind that it's still illegal. It just doesn't get called. It's not even like the game would be unplayable if things were called tightly. It would just force people to change how they play.

That's a good point. I didn't even think about that since I'm still waiting on GTA V on PC. I never got the game because it always felt like a Peter Jackson movie release. i knew the whole time that a better version was coming, lol....first with Next Gen...and then with PC.

The patch notes did just say "the year of heists", so I'd imagine they're factoring in both games as competitors. It's crazy they intend to keep supporting and releasing content for Payday 2 through 2016 though.

In my opinion, Payday 2 and Euro Truck Simulator 2 have the best post launch support I've ever seen. They're both games that sell for less than $10 very often and they still get free content added (and some paid DLC as well). For all the whining that publishers do about declining profits, it's pretty awesome those games are still being worked on.

I've had it since launch. Just hadn't opened it because I wasn't sure how I felt about paying $100 for it and was trying to subsidize my own copy. When that didn't work, I was happy to just get out breaking even, and I finally cracked it open a few nights ago...which allowed me to use the "Xbox...use code" Kinect feature where you just hold up the QR code and feel like a god because you didn't have to type anything in. "Xbox...give me things! Now! Xbox...give me Hulk Hogan, you bitch!"

I finished up the Cena/Punk showcase last night. Man, did that get boring playing different variations of Cena vs Punk 8,000 times and hearing Cena say "I'm feeling lucky/I feel great/Time to go to work" before every damn match just so I could hear the pre-match announcer commentary.

You knew I had it though. You even commented on it, lol.

Well, yeah. I don't actively watch wrestling. I might pick up on a story line here and there, but I just don't have the time to follow it closely anymore. Plus, I'm mostly attached to the older personalities anyway. I did watch this past Wrestlemania and all the festivities around it though And I watched the Raw for Hogan's birthday.

I mean part of it is just nostalgia for me. I enjoy some of the newer guys, but it's just different now. My 32 year old self is never going to be as excited for Bray Wyatt as my 12 year old self was for Hulk Hogan. And I would imagine my wife is grateful for that, lol.

If he does and we have 4, I gave him an extra copy of Gun Monkeys that I had...so we all have that now. Payday 2 would also be a possibility if Alan wants to teach us the stealth voodoo.

 
Just been busy with coaching hockey now and work. I got it also, but I feel like Nate though. The HBK and HHH feud is fun but tbe Cena and Punk is so so. The best part of that feud is the mic drop. It then got just very boring. I would love for more showcases because I think that's the best part of the game honestly. Well, older showcases would just make my 12 yesr old self estatic.
 
Yeah, that's the other thing I'm not a fan of. 2K got greedy as hell with the DLC this year. The season pass doesn't even include the wrestler packs. They want you to pay $25 for more Showcase stuff...then $8 for each of the wrestler packs. It sucks because I really want that WCW pack too...but I'll wait for it to go on sale.

At this point I am more inclined to just stay with the One version until the PC version gets cheap.  

I was planning on joining you guys Saturday after a bit of GTA on the One, but Comcast had other ideas.

 
With the lack of marketing push, im not too suprised it was delayed. Oh well, it just means more nearly-naked man mounting. At this point, i'd be suprised if it WASNT an Olympic sport at some point.

Argh...and there it is. GMG with a 23% off code good on pre-orders. I'm sure they had this one all geared up for GTA V. Now, they're promoting it for Dying Light, Mortal Kombat X, etc.

It looks like they do have pre-orders for GTA V up and you can use it on that though. Brings the total down to $46.20. Not sure if I should jump on that now or hold off in the hopes of something better coming along in the next 2 months.

There does appear to be a bonus if you pre-order by February 1st of the $1,000,000 in game and a copy of GTA: San Andreas for the 10 people who don't already own it, lol (I guess you could always trade/sell that).

The $1,000,000 would definitely be useful though. It actually looks like it's a total of $1,300,000. $500,000 for offline. $500,000 for online...and then a bonus $300,000 for online. Pretty solid.

EDIT - Also, it should be noted that it seems any version not bought directly through Steam won't have a Steam key. Rockstar is pulling an Ubisoft with this one and using their Social Club to redeem all other copies.

Ultimately, I guess I don't care. Even the Steam keys I have for Far Cry just boot up Uplay any way. Steam has no discount. I'd rather save $15 than have an official Steam copy.

I'd rather pay for for the Steam key because Rockstar's platform isn't proven yet. If you look at the Steam forums for Max payne 3, there's a bunch of authentication issues. Granted, the issues are on Rockstar's side, but if the Steam version is free of Rockstar's Drm, I'd rather the get steam one.

Also, H1Z1 is now out on Steam Early Access. Part of me hates that it looks really good. We've been through this open world zombie apocalypse early access stuff quite a few times now, and skepticism is pretty natural. I did get a kick out of this screenshot though.
