Haha, yeah, that second one was crazy because I didn't even see the Taser...but I heard the Cloaker squeal really loud and just started running like hell. Then the Taser popped out and I was just like "Shit! fuck! Juuuuump!" lol. Fortunately, it worked out.

Also, new CAG pic for me. Payday 2 called the mask Tony...but I call my rendition "Tony Benjamins". A tiger head made out of hundred dollar bills. It don't get more gangsta than that, lol. :lol:

lol...I think even Alan admitted the game LOOKED really good (other than the nightmare-enducing facial scans). And hey...Shaq is an announcer this year. I just need to know if he yells "KAZAAM!" when somebody scores. If that doesn't make it appealing, I don't know what would.

I would only buy this game is Shaq's commentary has a tone of reminiscence and feeling he could do better.

Holy fire sale by the Sabres today.

What'd you guys think of the main trade sending Kane, Bogosian, and a prospect goalie to Buffalo for Stafford, Myers, 1st rounder, and two prospects?

At least Buffalo is trying to do something. They may have overpaid with the first rounder thrown in as well...but Stafford and Myers have been with the team for forever and really haven't halped them do shit. Myers has always been incredibly overrated. For a guy as big as he is, he's kind of a pussy.

With Kane's issues this year, you have to wonder if he'll tire of Buffalo and demand to be traded anyway. But again...at least they're doing something to try to not suck so badly.

 
The main Winnepeg/Sabres trade doesnt seem like a benefit for either team right now. Maybe one team will come out on top depending how the prospects turn out. Kane has talent, but he also brings drama. Bogosian isn't an Elite d-man, but he brings consistent dependability.

Myeres had a solid rookie year and good potential, but hasn't lived up to the expectation. Don't really know much about Stafford, but he seems kinda like the forward version of Bogosian.

Enorth for Lindback and a draft pick? Also seems like no big gain for either again. I'm curious to see how Enroth will play with a better team in front of him.

Yeah, it definitely felt like a "hope they'll benefit from a change of scenery" kind of trade. I guess out of all of it, I feel like Kane has the most upside. It is possible that he could grow up. But Myers isn't going to all of a sudden become a good player in his late twenties.

 
My whole thing with the "Myers hasn't done anything" complaint is that he really hasn't had the chance. For awhile there were rumbles that he was going to Detroit (or at least they were interested). Now early in January there was an article discussing Myers. The thing that a lot of people don't realize is that despite not producing offensively his numbers defensively have been pretty good considering he doesn't exactly have the best in front of him or a goalie behind him. A few things to consider:
- Myers has more defensive zone starts than any Dman in the league.
- Buffalo has the worst faceoff percentage
- Myers PK% is among the best in first line dmen

Now taking all that into consideration, is it really surprising that he has such low offensive output?

At 25 years old, I'd be willing to bet that he is far from his prime.

I personally feel that like you said Nate, it's a change of scenery trade. I give the edge to the Jets since I think Myers will help them out. Not to mention gaining Stafford allows Buff to go back to D. Plus you are removing a possible cancer in the locker room. Buffalo still has two 1st rounders this year, so that part doesn't hurt them too much. Plus Kane and Bogosian are both young still. The other hazard with Kane though is that with his surgery, you don't know how he's going to be when he's back.

I wish there was some purple incorporated in it, but maybe Manchester is keeping their logo and color scheme and doing the purple thing. At least the crown is there, albeit in miniature form.

Not saying Myers is bad... I guess it's that lots of people expected him to be more of an impact player.

Good News: I got a $29 pre-paid Visa card in the mail today from one of my PC upgrade rebates from December. I took this as a sign to buy NBA 2K15 on GMG.

Bad News: The game is a 51GB download. If there was ever something to highlight the patheticness of Comshit thinking that 300GB per month is reasonable. Yes...only pirates use that much bandwidth. Sure thing. Because downloading ONE GAME will use up 1/6 of my monthly allotment.

Please hurry, Google Fiber. The day GF arrives, I will make my wife take my daughter out for the day just so I can call up Comcast to cancel, ask for a supervisor, and make sure they understand how horrible they are using as many obscenities as possible.

The fact that they'll charge you $10 for an extra 50GB if you use 301GB...but don't let you keep that other 49GB for the next month is the biggest crock of shit in all of it. They will know one day. Oh, they will know.

I didn't have enough time to disparage Comcast and enjoy naked dudes. I had to sacrifice something. I'll watch it when I'm by myself later tonight...when I can truly enjoy it.

Just think about it. I could easily get someone to film it, and I'm sure Nate wouldn't mind putting his professional editing skills to use by pixelating or putting funny images over our wieners.
 
So, I finally got around to downloading and trying that #IDARB game...and ya know, I actually kind of dig it. It's weird and ugly looking, but the mechanics are solid, the competition is strangely compelling, and the commentary is hilarious. So many movie quotes. It has that same kind of Speedrunners appeal to it.

And yeah, the Twitter integration with IDARB weirded me out. I kept seeing people's comments and different stuff, and was just like "How many people are trolling their friends right now?"

I can't even remember all the hilarious post goal one-liners. I literally LOL'd when I heard "Do a barrel roll!" though.

In other news, looks like The Stomping Land's developer took his $100,000 Kickstarter backing and has now completely abandoned the game. The guy that did the modeling of the dinosaurs has pretty much exposed him and has since sold his assets to the Beasts of Prey team. As miffed as I've been about Rust at least that game is starting to finally resemble something again. Really glad I never bought TSL.

Shit like that is why I never really started keeping up with things on kickstarter.  Especially when it says that the only thing they can do is "remind him of his obligations"  and then suspend him so he can't do another one.  But he still gets away with over 100 grand.

 
I've only supported a few things on kickstarter so far, and so far no issues. Then again, those things have been from companies who've already had some sort of commercial success, so it's not that person/company's first rodeo. Like when applying for a job, experience is a very important factor.
