National Console Support has Phoenix Wright in stock. It's listed at $35.00 plus shipping.

http://www.ncsxshop.com/cgi-bin/shop/NTR-P-AGYE.html

Does anyone know if this is the price when it was first released?

I'm thinking of ordering one but I would hate to see it in the stores for less.

I guess that's the CAG in me.

From Troz1820 on third page:
In stock at walmart.com: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/sear...ntinue.x=0&Continue.y=0&Continue=Find&ic=20_0

Perhaps the stores will stock it as well?

I just hope it actually is in stock, and not a mistake. I don't want this to be pending for a month, and then have my bank account debited on some random day when I'm not expecting it.
What kind of goodies? I love free stuff!
Some guy was sent a BBQ grilling kit when he phoned a complaint to them.
Man, wherehouse needs to tell me what's up...
I just emailed customer service requesting they cancel my orders. Haven't heard back yet, but will update as appropiate.

FOr those of y ou who ordered from capcom just an fyi: It took a couple hours for the order confirmation email to arrive. No worries!

I missed the whole Capcom thing...... Oh well, i'll either buy it locally if I find it or just wait for the next reprint..... lol

The authorization on my debit card went away for my Wherehouse.com order I assume it'll show cancelled today or tomorrow.

Yeah, I got my email confirmation, but I'm still skeptical until it they tell me it's shipped. We'll see what happens over the next day or two.... Fingers crossed.

I ordered a copy on Sunday from Spun.com which is affiliated with Wherehouse and at the time it was in stock. Then on Momday it said backordered and then yesterday they cancelled my order and they didn't even send me an email to let me know that they did it.

Better hurry and buy from Capcom if you want it. This news has hit a ton of gaming sites, so I suspect stock won't last too long.

Is there anyway to get a US manual? I imported the Japanese version and the manual is nothing but a bunch of pretty pictures and kanji I don't know.

try googling it, or check on ebay?

Bleh, I got a "Product No Longer Available" email from FYE.com. And since the Wherehouse order isn't looking too good, maybe I should attempt the Capcom site...

I just go through the first case, although it had some funny parts, it wastnt all that exciting. Does it get better. Also I'm thinking this game is going to have absoluetly no replay value.

The game does have almost zero replay value - but everyone in this thread (and any review) has already stated that.

The cases do get more complex - especially mid Case 3 and onward.

I guess I had better finish it and sell it then huh.

I like to keep games personally. Sometimes I play through stuff again a couple of years later. But that's up to you.

Thanks for the heads up on the capcom.com listing. I've been lurking in this thread looking for a chance to buy Phoenix Wright like some sort of lurking animal, probably a trout.
Heh, knew that wasn't going to take long to die.
Well, you can still order the Japan version.

Edit: try to add Phoenix Wright in the cart at Capcom and they're charging for $999.00 ;)

Glad I checked this thread last night. Was about to give up on this game but was checking every few days to see if anyone had found the game since I heard about the rerelease. Thanks again to Blade for the post. Jumped on the deal last nite now only If I can get my shipping confirmation. I ordered it so fast I dint realize that u get free shipping over $40 or I would have ordered two.
Friends and countrymen- http://www10.cd-wow.us/ has them. I just got a shipping notification from an order I placed earlier this week.

click through this site to get 2.00 off the order (I dont' know if this will still give CAG an affiliate code....?) http://www.monkeybargains.com/merchants/cd-wow.us.htm

Total Cost is $37.95 shipped from the UK. Good price considering!
HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLO! You can get it here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why doesn't capcom just do a big print run? The demand for the game as high as it is, they would make a ton of money. They could probably set the MSRP at $40 and people would buy it.

I think they are probably selling more games due to hype from it being rare than they would if they'd just do a big run.

Text based adventure games don't sell great in general in the US.

I saw one of these at a Gamerush today for $30. It's been there since the game was released...I didn't buy it...I bought 2 copies at that same GR back around Christmas and left that one...hard to believe it's still sitting there, at the very least it should have been shoplifted by now considering it's not in a security case.

I'm hoping I don't get a email back from capcom saying they couldn't process my order. I got my 2 copies a couple of hours before the link went dead. *Crosses fingers*
Lets hope they ship. Do they notify you when the game has shipped...never made an order with Capcom before ?
I believe they do, I ordered a bundle from them. Really good with the communication. Just email them if you have any questions.

wherehouse just cancelled my order. hosers. last time i take timesplitters to them for a ridiculous amount of trade-in credit... oh wait...

Just got my play-asia.com order in yesterday. Couldn't be more satisfied with the speed or the price!

Oh, and the game is bloody brilliant.

Yeah same here, I'm just about to say fuck this game, I seriously doubt it's as good as people make it out to be anyway...

Well, it is quite good. It's balanced well so you really never get too ticked off at it (unlike Trauma Center, which I was also really into, but just has some operations that are horribly unfun because they seem impossible). The only other game so far I've been as addicted to is New Super Mario Bros.

But, that being said, it isn't worth going crazy trying to order. Which is why when I saw it at ncsx, even though it was an extra $10, I just ordered it. Time is money, and I was tired of spending time trying to find a copy.

Damn... FYE's website had it for $29.99 with free shipping, but it sold out sometime this morning. I was planning on getting it, but I have no credit cards and my parents are on vacation. The worst part is... they're coming home tomorrow. Sooooo close!!

I wouldn't call it a masterpiece if that makes you feel any better, but it does have some of the best writing I've ever seen in a game, and its an experience that is quite memorable after you put your DS down. I'm 2 cases in and you really get into it. But its not the number 1, must have, must play game of all time, so dont stress.

This game is hella fun, and with all the instock issues has convinced me to pre-order Phoenix Wright 2: Justice for All. Thanks Capcom.

FYE? FSMYWEE.

I ordered from them weeks ago when it was available as a preorder for the rerelease. I think I was in early on it and it still came to be backordered.

Scumbags!

The way I understand it, if you played Trace Memory and liked it for its "more of an interactive short-story than a game" aspect, you'd like Phoenix Wright. I really liked that about Trace Memory, so I'm looking forward to getting my hands on PW.

Sour grapes!

The fact that I haven't received shipping confirmation from Capcom has me worried. I know this is only the second day since ordering, but Phoenix Wright like to avoid me from some strange reason.
