When Best Buy has those free $5 certificates they send out I never get them. I know it's a random thing so it's not going to stop me from making purchases there. Same goes with PSN if I didn't get a credit it would suck but your going to miss out on a lot of great games. Sorry to say but Sony wont miss your purchases that you haven't made yet.

I am a great customer and got it + an invite into virtually every beta they've had + really anything else Sony has done. The thing is, everyone is "loyal enough" when these things happen, but in reality... if you were TRULY loyal, it wouldn't bother you. I can understand being irked, but I never got why so many people are so vocal about it.
 
I need to spend $1.14 to get the $10 back next month. I have $2.81 in my wallet. Any suggestions on what I should buy to get there? I've been looking at the Sound Shapes DLC.

That would have been fine if they didn't promote it, especially the 2nd one, to "it's most loyal customers."

And to the BB example, I've pretty much quit spending there also unless its something on sale/clearance or something GS doesn't have. They also didn't do blog posts saying this is a thank you to our most loyal custers like Sony did so I just shrugged and moved on.
 
I thought I'd spent a lot more, but turns out I haven't even hit the $20 mark. At this point, I don't think it's really worth it to go for the $50.

I don't recall any blog posts and remember hearing specifically that the second $10 had no mention at all that it was for "loyal", so maybe I'm mistaken because I haven't paid much attention to it.

I didn't credit either time, but I'm not personally offended or upset enough to make dramatic posts complaining about it. I moved on pretty quickly because it wasn't a big deal to me.

So did anyone check out the Page Chronica demo? What an interesting, novel idea that seems to have been implemented in all the wrong ways. I really wanted to like the game despite the awful reviews, but it seems the review are right on point.

I think if the developer wanted to put out a patch that addressed the major issues, the game could still end up being good. But the difficulty needs to be completely re-scaled (I couldn't beat the boss in the demo on Easy), the floating letters need to be way more transparent (they interfere with the platforming way too much as it is), and the HUD and tutorial needs to be completely retooled (so players can actually understand how much "wordpower" they have stored up and understand what abilities they have and how they can upgrade those abilities.)

It's sad to see a unique idea for a game get put together so horribly.
 
Is anyone else having trouble adding funds to their wallets right now? I bought some prepaid cards today to do some quick shopping and trigger another $10 reward, but I get a difernet error for every method I've tried to redeem (Vita, PS3, website).

Edit: My plan worked flawlessly. Making a post here to ask caused it to suddenly and inexplicably start to work for me. NOTHING TO SEE HERE, CARRY ON.

That's how it works for me when I'm going for trophies. Try for a couple hours or so, fail miserably, post a rant on some forums while asking for help, and then get it my next try.

This method works for me as well. Get pissd, write a huge post...edit post five minutes later saying I got it. It's like the trophies know.

I have gone on a PSN spending spree this month btwn signing up for PSN plus and the Vita Anniversary Sale. Do you guys know if there is an easy way to determine exactly how much we spent in March for the 10 dollars back deal? Is there any limit to how many times you get the 10 bucks back? Like if you spend 200 you will get 40? I don't get why PSN is not sending some sort of notification like "You are 10 dollars away!" it would probably boost sales.
 
I feel like an idiot. I bought Disgaea 3 Vita over two months ago and it is still sealed. I really need to stop buying games unless I am going to play them immediately or else I lose!

Yeah, I reviewed the full version and while the concept is neat, the execution is terrible. So many things wrong that I feel changing even one would be a huge improvement.

Nope. I got about halfway through world 2 and I kept running out of time/double jump/patience. By "full game", I meant not the demo, but I put in several hours. I was playing on normal, and the first boss took me... maybe 5 or 6 tries?
 
Question: Has anyone not see a charge on account statement but you got emailed and charge hit bank. I am missing a $10 something charge on my psn transaction history any ideas? I need it to be over $50.

It does help fill the meh bar but would not stop buying cause of it. If enough meh stuff piled up to high i would sooner or later maybe he hit his tipping point? :lol:
 
I'm tempted to go for the Get $10 back thing.

I'm already up to $10 with Walking Dead. I want that Deus Ex DLC, so that's another $7.

I'm tempted to get Mass Effect, and Killzone HD for $15 each and top it off with Dino Crisis 2 for $6.

I hate the idea of dropping $50 on a PSN card though. I have $3 left in my wallet.

I REALLY don't get this question... if people want to tempt it by wondering, thats cool. Personally I would just buy an avatar and have the peace of mind.
 
Any opinions on the Knives DLC in Scott Pilgrim or the DLC for Sound Shapes? Debating between those and a Zen Pinball table to get my last $2 for the promo.

I think the only reason people question, is because on the blog someone had asked if they bought atelier Alysha for $49.99, would they have to get something else. Morgan replied that they would automatically round up to $50. Might not have been Morgan though. I'm not one to tempt fate though, so a 50 cent avatar purchase is a lot more comforting than maybe missing out and having to argue with Sony that someone on their blog said I would be fine. Vic is right, don't trust the blog just buy an avatar. It's not like you're spending that much more.

i was in the same boat, was able to clear out about 30gb deleting old game updates/installs from games i traded in, so grabbed the two retail red faction games. still somewhere around $25-$30 short, since i bought catherine for $20 the day BEFORE the promo started.

the only game I really have left to delete is MGS4, but I just CAN'T do that before I finish replaying it. Seriously, the updates to that game are several GBs in themselves:hot:

I recall it starting with someone asking if buying Plus would count as $50 and Morgan said they would round it up. In any case, it just seems silly to ask what is the minimum to have Sony round it up (something I doubt anyone here knows), when you can spend $.49 buying an avatar. I am sure most people would rather spend $.49 on the peace of mind / having a losing battle with Sony over not spending enough.
 
I picked up wheel of fortune. The AI is beyond stupid, But its a lot of fun to play with others. Also, I got 6 trophies in about 15 minutes. Sajaks jokes are as bad as ever. But again, fun with other people

It's the full experience, not a neutered 5 minute run like the Price is Right PSN games

To figure that out, did you just go through your purchase history and do some math or is there somewhere where it is simply listed.

I'm betting it's the former. I guess I should go check it out today, I've bought some stuff this past month but I couldn't guess exactly how much.
