I was going to respond to the 2k8 comment but Kendal summed it up pretty nicely.
How much boosting did you do X and how long? and/or how much Team Leader (in hours) do u you think it would take me from first Lieutenant to Elite?
There's a single player glitch that makes the Team Leader XP look like a joke. PM me for more details if you want to reach Elite quicker.
With a typical Team Leader match lasting less than 2 minutes (and if you can get a minimum of 400 XP each match - 200 for killing enemy team leader and 200 for eliminating other team) and the gap between 1st Lieutenant and Elite being 190k XP, it would come out to be almost 16 hours.
I happen to like baseball so what. Sports games have a 9 month developement cycle so they are compared differently than a game on a year and a half schedule. This game is a joke at $60. Im sure you are the same people that bitch about the way EA handles there games and yet when a new graw, or rainbow game is released you buy it instantly regardless of what is improved and you dont complain a bit.
As for these so called improvements?
Sprint? Wow what an amazing inovation. That is why I bought a 360? For sprint?
New armor/enviroments? It took them a year and a half for that?
Single Player is better in this one? Hardly, the graphics are worse and the story isnt interesting. I realize its a tactical game but the game has no fluidity at all.
If you had played the first one more and then this, you'd realize that the tiny option to sprint completely changes the mechanics of the game. I don't follow you on questioning the environments. They didn't copy and paste a single level in the game. Yes, Streets and Presidio make their return to a Rainbow Six game, but they have been tweaked from the originals. Your single player AI is much smarter in this game, there's a lot more variation in the mission locales, there's more twists/turns in this game's story than it's counterpart, and Co-Op story is a lot smoother this time around. Also, with the unmentioned A.C.E.S. system, the game now gives you mini-challenges to do while doing the story.
As for me bad mouthing the game, why can't I? Isnt that the point of this thread. To state opinions on the game?
So what if I think its garbage there are other people on here that obviously feel the same?
No one cares that you don't like it, it's only when you post generic hate answers for this game and then proceed to post the same garbage in the Battlefield thread that people start jumping on your case.
You think this game is leaps and bounds better? Can you honestly say this game is better than: Gears(2006), Splinter Cell(2006), Battlefield(2006), Halo(2007), Half Life(2005)......This game doesnt even approach those games levels. Rainbow Six three was the pinacle of the series and they have been lazy since in developing these games....This game was released in 2008 and they can't even come close to a game that was released in 2006 and developed on for a few years before that. Clearly no one told UBI Soft that the point of this generation is to move foward not stay stagnant
You are quick to say that baseball games and tactical shooters aren't comparable, yet you throw this game into the same conversation as Gears of War, Splinter Cell, Battlefield, Halo, and Half Life? Those games have nothing to do with the Rainbow Six series. Each game you mentioned is a completely different experience from the others.
