I really like Muhammad Hassan's theme too. It is fairly unique and as soon as it hits, the crowd responds.

Man, this is the first time in a long time Christian hasn't gotten any boring chants that I can remember. The crowd is REALLY into it.

Boring chants? I don't think I've ever heard Christian get a boring chant. The crowd loves to hate him.

Helluva match; I expect that from Christian, but Orton did exceptional.

Still not upset about staying home, though. Not yet, anyway.

myke.

Man, you can smell the swerve a mile away with this Batista/HHH storyline.
I think that's the idea; anticipation is always greater than the payoff.
Especially since the one diva that was on that banned super bowl ad let cat out of the bag on a radio show and revealed he is staying on Raw.

He was getting them a couple of weeks ago. The match with Orton got him more heat from the crowd than any he has had in a LONG time.
Is it just me or was Trish extra bouncy on her way down to the ring?
I donn't know but she sure looks way better when she goes with natural tones on her makeup and lipstick. She looks great tonight.

Yeah. Tonight definitely reminded me why she's my favorite Diva. Plus it helps that she can actually wrestle.

This is true. When she decided to be a wrestler she got much repsect from me. She gets even more from me knowing that WWE hired a bunch of gals with no talent (although I do like Christy). Trish should be the highest paid woman on the roster. She does the diva stuff AND she is a very good wrestler. When she first came out I would have never guessed she'd be any good at wrestling.

As far as Puder goes, he ahsn't been on TV since the Rumble. I think he's down in OVW training.

Anyway, I would like to pay my respects to Nova's career, which is offically over after being squashed by both Shelton Benjamin and Kane following that undefeated streak.

Looks like you made the right decision, myke. No Shawn Michaels match.

When I went to Smackdown! for the first time, Rey was out with an injury and Angle had his broken leg. :(

Edit: I should mention though, the 2nd time I saw Smackdown!, I got to see Angle vs. Guerrero in a lumberjack match.
LOL@HHH's Shaquille O'Neal beard.
It appears we're from totally different universes. The first person I thought of was Lemmy from Motorhead (see page 7 or so). It's a unique look, but far too masculine to go well with his finely-feathered coif.

Well, it's actually just an average show (penduulum effect perhaps?), and I don't think I'd have minded going for $10 or so. I have managed to save myself a good amount of money by not going to this or ordering Against All Odds. In addition, I don't think there are any major ROH dvds that I want to pick up next week, so that will be a cheap trip as well.

Thus, I must buy Wario Ware tomorrow. Grrr...my attention span needs it so bad!

myke.

Well, this all makes sense. Batista heads to SD on Thursday, HHH thinks he's going to face Bradshaw at WrestleMania, and then Batista swerves Triple H next Monday on Raw by signing to face him for the World Title.

I'm surprised it wasn't HHH in the limo trying to run-down Batista. WWE needs to have a huge swerve of some sort. Some top tier guy needs to turn heel, since HHH is really the only top heel right now besides Edge, who's hell-bent on fighting everyone.

Oh and I thought of Lemmy too... I wish HHH would just go solo again and use "Ace of Spades" as his theme music.

AGREED about Lemmy Kilmister.

Allow me to knock the mold collecting on this topic with a story of what a wrestling nerd I've become (or always been).

I work at a University which has a hospital on the other side of campus. Thus, I often hear ambulances.

This particular morning, as I heard one blaring down the street, I thought to myself...

"HOLLER....IF YA HEAR ME!"

And then I realized that I'd done that several times in the recent past without realizing it. Eek.

hmmm well... thats kind of wierd

Yeah...I thought so.

Back to the matter at hand, it seems Frank Kazarian is gone from TNA. Evidently, laying down for a NASCAR announcer was a bit much (at least it wasn't Underrtaker's wife). Thoughts?

He's kind of a tweener (good as a cruiserweight, but big enough to be in a heavyweight match). Think WWE will grab him? If they grab him, do you think they'll use him at all?

He busted up the limo with a bat.

 Amazing.

That Pulp Fiction spoof with Booker and Eddie was pretty great, though. Nothing beats the Basic Instict one, though. Christian rules.

In other news, I can't believe anyone would be ordering No Way Out this Sunday. It looks terrible, save the 6-man Cruiserweight match. Then again, that match will get cut down to around 7 minutes to make room for more of the Divas parading in their undies. Honest to God, if someone has $35 to drop on 4 hours of television, they have the $8 it costs to sign up for a porno site.

I didn't think SD! was focused on the women so much; what do I know?

I think you ought to be required by law to donate $35 to charity instead of order NWO, given its build-up. Having the money to order that piece of shit is the very definition of excess income. Maybe you can order the $8 porn first, but the other $27 should go to UNICEF.

From humble beginnings as a Deacon to headlining Wrestlemania. America IS the land of opportunity!

Actually Batista's beginnings were in OVW where he dominated everything thrown in the ring at him, under the name "Leviathan". If I'm not mistaken Batista was undefeated in OVW until (for God knows what reason) he faced Kane... and lost. Batista used to have a shaved head back in those days too, anyone else remember that?

I know but most people first saw hime on TV as Deacon Batista w/ D'Von, not Leviathan.

That's why I said that Batista thinks he's too good for anything; he hated OVW with a passion, and never understood why he was sent there in the first place.

That having been said, I saw Leviathan vs. Sean O'Haire at an HWA show (they used to have shows at their practice space every Tuesday - still do, actually). It was hands down, one of the worst matches I have ever seen. You could put the Iron Sheik and Sgt. Slaughter in the ring right now, in their respective ages and conditions, and they would move more fluid and faster than those two did. It is the primary reason that I will never like O'Haire (he also had an abomination of a match with Spanky), and I consider Batista to be an awful wrestler.

Those were the days. Too bad you all never got to see Ron Waterman wrestle. He looked dead on Steiner; he had zero charisma, but worked very well for a big man (good, but not great - he would stand out among WWE main eventers, though).
No Way Out will suck. All Smackdown PPV's always suck. Always. I haven't watched Smackdown in almost two years. :p
I was saying that last night as I was watching it. I can't believe that people tune in for that crap.

I like the JBL character. It's kind of a cross between Irwin R. Schyster, J.R. Ewing, and Vince McMahon IMO.

Man, it would be cool if Ted DiBiase could be a senior figurehead for his stable like Ric Flair is for Evolution.
