It's not that i don't like it, i kinda do actually, i just never really eat it. I guess no matter how much i spend on games/anime, good food always comes first :).

No, i'm not fat, stop looking at me like i'm hoarding a pound of bacon

Just want to thank everyone for mentioning their orders of Eureka Seven, since that low price made me jump on the volumes that I happened to be missing. Couldn't be happier!

I noticed the full Madlax series is still in stock in the bargain bin($28 for the individual DVDs, or $35 for the thinpack). It looks kind of interesting. Any opinions on it?

It felt like every other Bee Train production I've seen (.hack//sign, Noir, etc). Lots of dialogue with a few interesting action sequences.

Don't forget the cool music by Yuki Kajiura! But yeah, Bee-Train shows are kinda... meh.

I always kinda wanted to see Noir too. It was really big the year it came out. It seemed like the Trigun/Cowboy Bebop show of the year.
I always wanted see Noir is it kinda meh too?
Pretty damn meh, yeah. I think it was briefly popular because its soundtrack was incredible (that's when Kajiura's style was first unveiled to the masses), but it's really average in every other department.

Eureka Seven is my favorite anime series. Ever.

Total: $89

They were out of stock for vol. 2 though, which means I'll have to pay about $15-20 for it... :(. Anyone know where I could get it for cheaper?

So does anyone else think they are going to revert the bargain bin items back to their original pre-sale price after today?
So does anyone else think they are going to revert the bargain bin items back to their original pre-sale price after today?
No- they didn't last time, anyway.

I think the Bargain Bin "sale" is a combination 'fill-in for studio sale we can't have anymore becuase the company's out of business' and 'make people notice the bargain bin so we can get rid of our clearance' thing. Not that it's a bad thing to do that, mind you... ;)

1 $8.00 * piocd53322 FLCL CD Soundtrack 3
1 $8.00 * piocd52202 FLCL Original Soundtrack 1: Addict CD
1 $8.00 * piocd52442 FLCL Original Soundtrack 2: King of P

SubTotal: $24.00

Can't beat that price for three CDs that I have wanted for a long time but refused to pay $30-$50 other sites were charging even for used. This is almost like the time that I found the Kingdom Hearts soundtrack for $7 but that was a long time ago.

Wait for it to come back in stock and pay the extra $3 for shipping at that time.

I hope it actually does come back in stock.

I also put in a order through PrizeRebel for Vols. 1-3 and 5-6 of Mushi-shi (except they don't have vol. 4... bummer) for $5 each and Cowboy Bebop complete collection for $30.

The first episode of Noir really hyped the show up for me. The animation style and action sequences combined with the music was as close to perfect as you can get for a pilot, IMO.

The rest of the series really just went downhill and didn't ever really deliver on the promises of the first episode.

As for Bee Train music - I absolutely agree. Yuki Kajiura is the best thing about that company. The themes, typically by See Saw, were often catchy, though they never reached the level of the rest of the soundtrack. It irked me to no end when Yuki and See Saw reversed roles on .hack//Roots (at least I think this is the one where Yuki wrote the opening/ending themes and See Saw did the rest of the soundtrack).

Actually, you're thinking of ALI PROJECT, who also did the opening theme for Noir. It was they who did the soundtrack for .hack//Roots, along with the ending theme, though See-Saw has been involved in many Bee-Train projects over the years. Currently, See-Saw seems to be in hibernation, since Kajiura is currently involved in her FictionJunction projects, and Chiaki Ishikawa is doing her own solo stuff. See-Saw hasn't put out a single since 2005's "Kimi wa Boku ni Niteiru" for Gundam SEED Destiny, and before that it had been over two years since their "Dream Field" album.

Glossary of Terms:
ALI PROJECT: Japanese music group known for their unique sound and dark and mysterious lyrics
Bee-Train: Anime production company
Chiaki Ishikawa: Vocalist for See-Saw
FictionJunction: J-pop project by Yuki Kajiura with several vocalists, most popularly FictionJunction YUUKA
See-Saw: J-pop duo with members Yuki Kajiura and Chiaki Ishikawa
Yuki Kajiura: Anime composer, and J-pop composer for See-Saw, FictionJunction, and various other vocalists

Got my shipment of Jubei Chan 1 and 2 along with Haibaine Renmei 1 and the El Hazard OVA's yesterday. Looking forward to watching that after I finish Mars Daybreak. I was looking at doing Gunbuster next, but after Eva and Mars, I need a break from mecha. Also, my best buy kiosk order for Rurouni season 3 ($25.99) is now shipping. Now to find a sneaky deal on the first season...

Hooray, I got all my stuff in from Right Stuf. Well Air and Kanon are from last week, but I might as well include them in the picture since these are all the anime I got from their Bargain Bin Sale.

I'm waiting on that as well, but I just recently ordered the rest of it hope it comes eventually. Amazon lists it as out of print so who knows if it will ever come.

This. Got an email about it today, so whoever got My-Otome in the mail....fuck you.

Five of my Eureka Seven discs arrived today, though without the first four discs, this does me no good.

Oh dont say that:cry::cry::cry:

They finally mailed 2 volumes of manga from the tokyopop sale 2 months ago .. waiting on one more now. Otome 4 is not out of print bandai just recalled all copies before due to an error which it seems they fixed since mine runs perfectly .. I assume they are just working to get all the needed stock out.
Five of my Eureka Seven discs arrived today, though without the first four discs, this does me no good.
Huh. All of mine still says "on order" except for 5 and 6. It's especially annoying because I'm moving in a week and a half.

I ordered a copy of the manga Your and My Secret volume 4 on March 2nd, and today (May 6th) it still says "On Order From Manufacturer". I'm probably going to cancel and just order from Amazon since they had it in-stock the last time I checked. This is the longest I have had to wait for anyhting from Rightstuf. I'd rather they just say they can't fulfill the order instead of holding the order two months after my initial order.
Both Grave of the Fireflies & Now and Then, Here and There are being re-released. This is great news, as I've always wanted to see them, but never really got the chance.

Yes! This is great news. Now I won't have to pay an exorbitant price to add Grave of the Fireflies to my collection. Also a re-release of Now and Then, Here and There is amazing because I have heard a lot of great things about it; I cannot wait to grab a copy.

I'll grab Grave of the Fireflies. I stupidly gave it to a friend without ever watching it. Will it be the same exact release as before? (I think there was a little bit of special features?)

I heard Heat Guy J was just alright, but i love that the artboxes look so cool side-by-side ;). Also, you got Monte Cristo, nice. When i get more money, and that gets cheaper, i will have it!

Exactly. Thank you for writing it so i didn't have to. :applause:

Also, i broke down and bought Romeo x Juliet (along with the rest of Kanon, since i told you guys i found vol. 5 at BB). Don't hate me =/.

How am i paying for it you ask? Well, fingers crossed, this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&item=300313021063

Yes, i did place an order without having the money to pay for it. I put it on hold. Don't judge me. :D

I got Heat Guy J since it is by the creator of Noein. I loved Noein, so I thought that I couldn't go wrong with another anime by the same creator. Also, the Heat Guy J boxes also form his face if you put them together length wise or if you put them together with the DVDs facing you; I agree, it is mad awesome, haha.

That is funny; I also had to buy Kanon Vol. 5 from Best Buy as well. It was kind of funny: my local Best Buy was the only Best Buy around me that had it in stock, so I bought it with in store pick up immediately since it couldn't of been anything other than fate, haha.

I've already bought Grave of the Fireflies twice. And, I've owned NTHT for years, it's one of my favorite series ever. If you don't own NTHT, you must buy it.

Seconding this, Now and Then, Here and There is my favorite series, and sets the standard for anime that explores deep and dark subject matters.

Is ADV redubbing it, though? I thought the Central Park Media dub was close to perfect for it.

Makes sense with Central Park declaring bankruptcy, although I thought ADV restructured itself as Sentai Something-er-other.

I doubt it considering how soon it's coming out, I'm really looking forward to finally being able to see it along with NTHT...would be sweet if I could add Utena to this list:D

fuck yes, but only if they use the newly-remastered version that came out in Japan recently! The difference is astounding.

ADV is distributing for a company called Sentai Filmworks.

New Manga sale up, nothing good though =/

They did update that main window thing, and apparently Claymore is selling pretty well. It also reminded me to pre-order Death Note ReLight, but at Amazon, $15 ;).

Since today is the last day of the Funimation sale I put in my order for Romeo x Juliet. I also ordered all of the My-HiME DVDs in order to push the total price above $49, so I can get free shipping.
Never heard of this, what is it? A clip show?
It's the Director's Cut. It's a retelling of the whole L VS. Light story. Pretty much the same thing but with a couple of new scenes. Pretty good if you haven't watched the original series, but for that price, every Death Note fan would bite.

I did the same thing, ordering My-HiME to get free shipping awhile back, and as it turns out, the series is really good. IDK why it's only $3 a volume, but the show is seriously worth watching.

Would ya look at that, I'm obsessed with Death Note, i'm shocked i didn't already have this ordered ;).
Never heard of this, what is it? A clip show?
Like everyone said, it's pretty much Death Note The Movie: PArt 1, from Ryuk's perspective, it was a special aired in Japan, and of course considering it says Vol. 1, there were two specials, so i figure the second half will get localized eventually.

Not that i know all this or anything......lucky guess.....

I started watching My-HiME (first 3 episodes). It seems pretty good, but almost too much fanservice for my tastes, heh. At $3 per volume, it's still a pretty good deal though.

I just think my $18 could be better spent towards a higher quality series... FMA, for instance. :p

Got my FLCL cds and it was pretty fast shipping because I have heard somethings about their slow shipping but I can't wait to hear the music again. Thanks OP about the bargain bin.

You'd be right. Go buy FMA. And Death Note.

Come back around episode 12 or 13. Show definitely has fan service but once you hit the midway point you will be in for quite a few surprises.

My-Hime is definitely one of my favorite shows and I can't stress enough to keep watching.
