It's probably on Bandai's end. I just got an email from Amazon telling me that the Ghost in the Shell SAC 2 boxset I ordered probably won't be sent until late may/early June. I think I might just go out and try to find some of the DVDs I ordered. I'll end up paying more but atleast I can get them now.

Unrelated, i got Kanon Vol. 5 today at BB for $18. It was the only Kanon-related thing they had, and i couldn't believe it was actually vol. 5, brand new :). Do you guys think i should just sell it, or buy the rest of the series on TSRI and have a rare (altho opened if i watch it) dvd kanon, or just sell it and buy the thinpak when it gets cheap.
 
Today is the last day to get in any items you might want from the Bargain Bin sale.

After Re-checking the site , it appears that the Bargain Bin sale has been extended until May 4th (one extra week).

Prices probably won't go up , but as we've already seen , people weren't buying the stuff before , but they are buying them now , simply because they are "on sale". Once the sale ends , supply will probably stop moving again.

I'm surprised so many people didn't know about that page. It's not exactly hidden, there's a link on the front page right next to the store and bargain bin links.
 
Well most of the stuff I have bought is significantly cheaper than before and cheaper than other avenues. Also, most of this stuff is out of print; either I buy it now at this low price or I risk losing my chance to purchase it at all.

My only problem is that there is just too much stuff on sale and out of print at the same time. My wallet is not able to take a beating of this magnitude, haha.

It would be nice to get a list of all the top-notch anime on sale, so people can scoop it up before it goes OOP (especially Geneon titles). I think I have most of it, but I bet there is still more I missed. Particularly older stuff that probably wont be on Blu-ray.

Eh, I cancelled my order for all of them. A) Cause I know it's gonna be forever till I get them and B) I saw the first episode and couldn't stand the main character, no way I was going through 50 eps of that. I must though that Eureka is an awesome character and was thinking of just getting it to see her in the show.

I'm imagining it will all arrive to RightStuf in one big shipment. I'm *hoping*! (And actually, the Volume 12 Special Edition has been listed as "reserved for my order" since late last week.)
 
I was going to order the whole set, but I am waiting for volume 2 to get back in stock; I don't want to get free shipping for all the other dvds and then pay shipping for just one volume.
 
My-Otome volume 4 arrived in the mail today hopefully shouldn't be long for everyone else who ordered it to get it. I'm also one of the people who ordered all the LE Eureka 7 + remaining singles for $92 I have no problem waiting really its just I have to make sure to keep $92 in the bank and not forget about this purchase since I know its going to be forever till I receive it.

Should of known it would be trouble when they put up 1000 copies of each "LIMITED" editions.

That's too bad. Renton turns really badass later on in the series. It's one of the best anime I've seen in recent years.

The only good thing about Eureka 7 is Anemone and Dominick. Renton really doesn't get better, and the children in the storyline were cringe-worthy. I'll give it that it's better than average, and it's worth a buy for its cheap price, but it's not that great of an anime.

Some of these prices are the same, although i would like the Air TV Movie, and Kodocha for $60 and Romeo x Juliet for $36 are both pretty good deals.
 
Really liked what I saw of Romeo X Juliets a while back at a con with the fansubs. Will most likely pick it up later but would prefer for it to drop in price a bit more. $50 for entire series is my price point.

Honestly, I'd look up a fansub of the first couple episodes somewhere on this one. I saw the dub premiere at Sakura Con a few weeks ago... it's not at all accurate to the play, but the sci fi/fantasy setting is pretty liberally sprinkled with Shakespeare-ish things- the dub is done largely in Shakespearian language, for example. It's really a hard one to make a call on without seeing it, unless you REALLY like scifi/fantasy blend anime.

I am probably going to preorder it. I really like the art and the idea of a re-imagined science fiction version of Romeo and Juliet sounds awesome to me.

Yeah, I would watch Baccano in a good priced series set, where you could watch enough episodes to start to get what is going on. 4 episodes and wait seems like a route to complete incomprehensibility.

Agreed. I'd also not pay $25 for every single volume, then get shafted when a $30 viridian set comes out, or TSRI has a massive sale. *looks at horribly overpriced season x-part x FMA sets, cries*


Also, was anyone massively obsessed with School Rumble while watching it? ONLY SIX EPISODES TO GO =/

My volumes 5, 6, 8, 10, and 12 Special Edition shipped out last Thursday. The rest remain "on order from manufacturer".

Not yet though personally I hope they don't ship my stuff for 1+ month, I messed up my budget while building my computer and getting bills situated so while I can afford the $92 now I would have to eat instant noodles for a few weeks :cry:.
