orderd escaflowne i hope its good stuff.
The first episode is a little slow to start, so give it time, it picks up well after episode 2. It also has great music by Yokko Kanno(Macross Plus, Cowboy Bebop).

Outlaw Star is a great anime, easily one of my favorites. I was lucky enough to the get the original collection at BuyriteDVD several months back.

Anyway, $22.49 is a great price IMO.
I think I will be in for Escaflowne and Outlar Star.
Both great series. Too bad I've got everything that looks good & is cheap. If Desert Punk was just a little cheaper.

the latest clue was posted up on AnimeOnDVD...

Apparently its an extremley huge hint at Full Metal Panic Fumoffu!

Something about "Bonta-kuns"

I think I might actually get this. It's on Bestbuy.com for $31, so $25 is a pretty good deal and it just came out.

Very nice. I have heard so much aobut this series. I might get this one, but isn't it a continuation of a continuation of the series? Good jump in point?

Buy.com has it for $26.11, but it's currently out of stock. If it becomes available before the Google checkout offer ends, it would be a much better deal to get it from them.

I saw Fumoffu long before seeing FMP. Fumoffu is a pure comedy show that requires you to know that the main guy has been assigned to protect the main girl. Granted, there's a lot of side characters, but the show is a hoot even if you don't know what's going on.
And another sinker.
Really? I thought it seemed like a really good deal. I've heard nothing but good things. Is it the new series that makes this not so good? I think it's probably worth $13... but I really want that eyeball set

Yea, im kicking myself for passing up the Eyeball set for $10. I'd probably just buy that now because it looks cool. I'm not much for mech shows (assuming that "Giant Robo" is a mech show)
Also, does anyone know if this one at Rightstuf is a thinpack or not?
It contains the regular volumes, it's not the twinpack. This looks like a good deal to me, lets hope the next two days are great deals. ;)

These last deals had better be unbelievable. Maybe a deal on Twelve Kingdoms or something would be nice.

Oh, and Hellsing Ultimate is still the best DVD to come out this year.
^Where is the eye set $10?
Animenation had it on clearance a while back. They also had all the Ranma, YYH, Saiyuki, Robotech, and a whole buncha other series for $2 a disc (and all t-shirts for $2 each)

That wouldn't be a bad deal at all. Something like the two Twelve Kingdom sets for $60.

Went ahead and ordered Giant Robo I think one of my friends back in Sacramento still has my discs so for 16 with shipping it's too good a deal to pass up, personally I really like the Giant Robo OVA.

The imperfect collection of Excel Saga has all of the bonuses like trailers and ad-notes whereas the thinpack just has the episodes. Don't buy the thinpack!
I will wait till the end of sale to order a couple of series, that way ships free....
i did the same thing last year hehe. most of the stuff will probably be on backorder, but i don't mind. i remember receiving all my dvd's within a month last time they were on BO.
Day 12: Samurai Champloo DVD Box Set (Hyb) $79.99

That's a phenomenal deal and possibly the best anime that they have put up at this year Rightstuf 12 days of christmas. The only crappy part about it is that I bought the show as it came out as singles. Oh well, I have the two limited edition ones (the first volume with cd and the sixth from hot Topic) and they're definitely snazzy.

there's no ifs ands or buts about it, but this is damn good show and definitely worth it, especially as this is the cheapest price i have seen it for.

Samurai Champloo is definitely a great anime. Much more so if you're into Japanese culture because some episodes are loosely based on it. Great price too. Thanks OP for the update. Though I'd pick this up, I'm actually saving up to buy an import box set of Cyborg 009, unfortunately Sony dropped this jewel of a series.

Same box minus the bandanna and plus the other 6 volumes. If anyone has an extra box they'd like to get rid of please feel free to send me a pm.

Pretty good deal if you dont have a FYE/Sam Goody/Strawberries/Suncoast/Wherehouse around. They've had it for $80 for a few months and there have been a number of 10% & 15% off coupons to take even more off.

If you dont mind having the box, or dealing with subscription clubs, Columbia House has vols 1-7 for 49 cents each and you only have to buy 3 more dvds (2 @ $19.99 & 1 @ 9.95)

That's where I got mine...plus Fullmetal Alchemist and Galaxy Railways.

When I go to the Columbia House site, it says 5 for .49 + 5 to buy later - is there some kind of coupon to get a better deal?

Damn that's a good deal on the Champloo set. I went through the trouble of buying them all seperately, but I did manage to find a new vol.1 with the LE box and bandana.

Anyway if you don't care about having the box then CH would be cheaper, but if you join use me as a reference... :)
Looks like there will be 20 more items on sale saturday, according to a post on AoD (Guess that's what the "+" meant). Stay tuned.
Oooh, spiffy! I hope there's something good in there! :bouncy:

From DVDtalk (bold answers are guesses and not definate sale items)

Gyumaoh and his demons, Saiyuki
elite mecha forces, Armored Trooper Votoms, one of the Gundam series
protectors of humanity, RahXephon
two season fairies, Sugar: A Little Snow Fairy
golden inline skates, Paranoia Agent
a desert planet, Trigun
music from your heart, Piano
a subspecies of humans, Elfen Lied
a dragonet named Hoshimaru, Shadow Star Narutaru
a junior high school student discovering she’s a god, Kamichu!
a group of mysterious children, Fantastic Children
a deceptive paradise, Wolf's Rain
powerful stones, Gad Guard
electromagnetic shockwaves, Stellvia
genetically engineered slaves, DearS
two separated siblings, Koi Kaze, Please Twins
biological weapons, SaiKano
evil lurking in Paris, Noir
demon-eating goblins, Tactics
and a battle between dimensions. Divergence Eve, Dual! Parallel Adventure

Some of them are really understable, some may be a bit "open" as far as what theyre referring to.

Yeah some of those guesses seem off, like Tactics for example, I think there's only like 2 volumes out (maybe 3). I can't picture them having a sale on somehting like that as Rightstuf's xmas sales are mostly always bundles and/or collections. And some like you said are really general, I mean elite Mecha forces, that's like half of a whole anime encyclopedia...
evil lurking in Paris, Noir
Great, just after i bought Noir vol.1/w art box for 15. Oh well it was worth it for the shirt.
