Rock Band series - Rock Band 4 out now

Runnin' Down a Dream is one of the songs I've long wished was in Rock Band, so I'll definitely be getting that. Probably a few of the others too.

So, it's not been mentioned in a while, but wtf is the wireless mic patch? I see that GS now sells it, but where is the update patch for it to actually work with RB2?

I'm willing to bet a good amount of money it's coming out with the patch for the RBN... or whatever its called, which is dated for the end of this month or first week of september, I forget. It seems to be the general consensus too.

So, Ghostbusters was announced to be in the DS version of Lego RB.....I sure hope its in the 360 version as well!...that one song could be the decision maker for me in buying it or not...(well at least not on release day...)
Fixed that for you ;)
You kidd, but I just canceled my GH5 pre-order on Amazon. Tom Petty was pretty much THE reason I was still going to give GH a chance, but I'll buy it for RB2 and rent GH5.

Are there any songs in Unplugged that haven't shown in the console versions of Rock Band in some form? I would hope that Lego Rock Band follows that same precedent.

So far, Harmonix has been doing a good job either releasing (Tom Petty, Gorillaz) or announcing (Queen, Nirvana) songs as DLC that would've been my motivation to buy Guitar Hero 5. I can't say I won't get it, but the appeal drops more every time another song from the game's tracklist shows up as a $2 download for Rock Band.

AFI - "Miss Murder"
Audioslave - "Gasoline"
Black Tide - "Show Me the Way"
Freezepop - "Less Talk More Rokk"
Tenacious D - "Rock Your Socks"
3 Doors Down - "Kryptonite"
Alice in Chains - "Would?"
Blink 182 - "What's My Age Again"
Jackson 5 - "ABC"

Please God let it be at least one of these: "Lithium", "Smells Like Teen Spirit", "Bullet With Butterfly Wings", or "Come Down". Those songs are all that's keeping me mildly interested in GH5. I just can't justify paying $60 for 4 songs that SHOULD be in Rock Band.

I didn't realize there were that many that hadn't made the jump to consoles yet. I really want the Freezepop and Blink tracks, and (though I maybe shouldn't admit it) I'd probably get the Jackson 5 and 3 Doors Down songs too.

I was thinking that Harmonix was holding off on Lithium and Smells Like Teen Spirit for future disc-based games (especially so after they were held out of the Nevermind pack), but since GH5 has them I suspect that that plan might change now.

I wouldn't count on the Pumpkins, though...and I could be mistaken, but I don't think "Come Down" is a track in GH5. :whistle2:s

It is. It was like the second or third wave of songs they were slowly trickling out so people would pay notice before showing the whole entire setlist.

And goddamn Runnin Down a Dream, that song is easy on guitar then the last 94% of the song during the solo murders me. Though still good week of DLC.

Same with the solo in Rebel Yell. Still though, like you said, great week of DLC.

Yeah, but the Rebel Yell solo at least you can recover from because for the most part it just comes during the end of it is when it picks up (I do like the galloping part of that solo for some reason though). Though I'm glad it isn't as heavily charted toward the synthosizers like GH:WT, only after the solo it seems.

I don't know about anyone else...

But I hope that with Paramore releasing anew album September 29th we get ourselves a nifty little 3 pack from that.

I am going to see them November 1st and I am totally PUMPED!!! Maybe I'll be able to land a date with Hayley, heh heh!

Paramore is coming here October to a ballroom instead of arena or ampitheatre. Tempted to see them because big name artist doing concert in such a location usually means a good show. Though I feel I can't because I feel I'll stand out among the teenagers what with having a mohawk and being 23 by then.

Pshhh, fuck it man. I am 21! It's whatever! Hayley is HOT! HOT!! HOT!!! Not to mention I do enjoy their music. I think Riot is a great album and I am really looking forward to Brand New Eyes.

Check this shit out though guys. I was looking at my cousin's facebook today and she got married not too long ago to a some musician. I thought it was some weak bullshit; like he was some aspiring wanna be. Turns out though he's the guitarist for Authority Zero (The song "No Regrets" that came in the 20 free DLC with RB2), Zach Vogel.

I thought it was pretty cool, and the thought that he may be coming to my place for this november for thanksgiving is pretty sweet! I'm going to be eating turkey, mashed potatoes, and green bean casserole with a fuckin' rock star! lmao!

She's not the hottest musician (I've given Lucia that spot), but I want to say I do find her cute to say the least. That and the fact she's married to Zach Vogel is better then say...bassist for Fall Out Boy anyday. I Don't know, October I already got three concerts lined up. I'm curious, but don't know if that curious (that and I don't want to go alone).

Haha, I just remembered the part in RB2's world tour mode, when Hot Topic wants you to sell out and play that Paramore song on the disc, and if you choose to do it you lose fans. That being said, I'd probably get Misery Business if it was released as DLC.

Yeah, I remember that. At first I was thinking "What the fuck?! Hot Topic is in this? They didn't even announce it or give them a logo." Then gold star the song and lost fans and only got like $100 or so? Yeah, that day was a learning lesson somewhere...

And there is something about Paramore that makes me not dislike them compared to alot of current pop bands. I Almost want to say it is Hailey Williams somehow or someway, but their music isn't exactly deep or meaningful in anyway, but still not the worse thing to listen to at all.

That's funny cause my best friend's sister was dating their bass player for like a year... then Riot! got huge... haha.

Yeah man. She's extremely charming. Because you are right, she's not the hottest girl fronting a band out there when it comes to appearance. She's just...adorable? I think it's her personality and that she doesn't act like a rich bitch. She's like a different kind of hot for sure though, she's not the kind of girl you'd want to see in a porn, ya know?

I disagree that there music isn't very deep and doesn't mean anything. A lot of their songs are rooted in their faith, and it's really noticeable if you listen to their music with that in mind. I also think Hayley is really talented singer in a day and age where you really don't have to be. Like Katy Perry, who I would want to see in a porn, haha.

Actually, you have to give Paramore some kind of credit because they were offered a spot on the soundtrack for the new Twilight movie (New Moon), and turned it down because they didn't want to become known as "The Twilight Band". Hot Topic or not, that was a much bigger opportunity for a cash grab and they didn't take it. Now if only "The Transformers Band" (aka Linkin Park) would grow those kind of balls.

This conversation about Paramore has gone on much longer then I had originally anticipated. Though I also just listen to Paramore only here and there and only give a small opinion if anything. I Can respect them for The Twilight thing though, especially considering that damn album is what? Top 20's or something? Friggin ridiculous...

I think girls who can sing just become a lot more desirable by default. Voice is one of those qualities that doesn't get much attention on the "hot scale".. even something like the way a girl laughs can add to her hotness or (more often than not) detract from it severely.

Haha, QFT

Turning down the twilight soundtrack is pretty awesome. I'm totally not one of those, "don't sellout to the man" kind of people but twilight is fucking retarded.

I Can't ever think of meeting one girl with a non annoying laugh. They're always just...so loud and obnoxious. That or just creepy sounding.

Hayley sings on the Set Your Goals record, so she rules by association. Too bad her boyfriend would stomp the shit out of anyone if they tried getting near her. ;)

So, while we're all talking about Paramore...is "Crushcrushcrush" worth getting as free DLC from the Pepsi promotion? That's one of the songs I was considering if I have extra codes after the promised update.

I enjoyed it, I got it from the promotion too, can't say I regret it one bit.

I Find it alot more fun then "That's What You Get" and it does have the quality of song you enjoy singing when no one is around.

I'll probably go for it, then. "That's What You Get" is one of the songs with a female vocalist that I don't mind singing, mostly because I can do it without having to contort my voice too much. The same goes for No Doubt, but I already got "Don't Speak" and "It's My Life," and probably only really want "Spiderwebs" out of their other songs on the site.

I am hoping that the update is a significant one. It is possible that it'll just be the Billy Idol tracks (both of which I'll end up getting), but some of the Weezer, Tom Petty, Kings of Leon, or pretty much any of the DLC from the past two months would be much appreciated. :D

Band Hero is getting American Pie! Now that is a song I'd love to play on Rock Band. I hope Harmonix keeps up their strategy of releasing Activision songs as DLC.
