Looks like I'll finally get the Jak and Daxter collection. Been waiting forever for a good price on it.

Best Buy sold Infamous 2 for $9.99 before and Twisted Metal is $19.99 there. Wal-Mart already sells a bunch of Vita games for $19.99 and Target sells those Vita games for even less money. I guess it's about time other retailers caught up with the rest of the world, though I don't know why any retailer would charge more than a different retailer. It's not like Target will see $19.99 for Infamous 2 if Best Buy is sellling it for $9.99. They might was sell have sold it for $8.99. Some money is better than no money.
Am I the only one curious about a source other than some guy saying it'll happen?
Yeah, I am pretty skeptical actually.
Yeah, I am pretty skeptical actually.
I just thought about that... And no info on it online.... I"M SCARED! I want Uncharted 3 kinda!!

I WANT to get Resistance, but I think I might wait for a sale on it now that it's dropped $10. $20 and I'm in.
Gonna get GT5. For $20 it's totally worth it.
It's already $19.99 on clearance @ BB I think it auto adjusts when you do in-store p/u.
Will probably grab GT5 XL, have some BB credit coming my way once all my points process.
^^^

I've really wanted the J&D Collection and the GoW Collection, but didn't want to pay quite that much. $20 is a very reasonable price, but I think I'll wait and see what I can get them for on BF.

The price is 39.99 online. What do you mean? It's in store only? I want the XL edition.
Wow at uncharted 3 at 19.99!
They did this to expand the userbase b/c the latest patch allows for microtransactions.
Most already know Uncharted 3 is getting a Game of the Year edition but Gran Turismo 5 is also getting one called Gran Turismo 5 Academy Edition.

GamesCom is coming up on 8/15, so Sony should be announcing more than price drops going forward into the holiday season.
I though GT5XL was only in US and GT5AE was only for Europe or have I missed an announcement?
I wish the retailers would just adjust the price of this now. It's been announced, just do it! I want to order the J&D collection from Amazon.
It was officially announced?

I'm wondering if I should sell my current uncharted 3. I have yet to play the game and might as well get the first two and wait for the GOTY edition. Choices...
I dont think these are msrp drops. Uncharted 2 is still $29.99 msrp. I do believe this may be leaked sale prices.
Yeah. I can't see them cutting the price on Resistance. It has been out less than 2 months. Sony does need to drop game and memory card prices though if they want to actually start selling Vitas.

But leaked sale prices to where?
I am starting to feel very burned with the vita. I own most of the first party games...
I tried to warned people at release since PSP had a really rough start.
I tried to warned people at release since PSP had a really rough start.
Maybe it was because I didn't have a PSP, but I love the Vita. I have spent much more time on it than my 3DS which I have owned 3x longer. Maybe its the dual sticks and the fact the touchscreen stuff I have seen so far isn't overly gimmicky like the Nintendo games are. When my wife was in the hospital a few weeks back, it really helped pass the time.

I was just looking at the GT5XL on Amazon last night. I had Forza 3 Ultimate Platinum Hits shipped from a seller on Amazon, got it yesterday and both discs for it are warped. Now I have to pay shipping back for it, so the shipping costs will outweigh the price, six bucks, of what I payed for the game.

Very helpful thread.
Why is everyone excited to pay MSRP for these?
If they are at a lower MSRP, they could go on sale so we pay even less!
Why is everyone excited to pay MSRP for these?
Because prices can only get lower than what they are now. So when I see a Vita game for $20, I'm thinking "Sweet. This will be $10 in a good sale in a month or two."

We're more interested in the sale potential than anything.
I'm starting to get a little skeptical about these prices...what's the Gaf guy's source, anyway?
He is unwilling to reveal it.

I hope this also applies to us Canadians. I want Jak & Daxter for $19.99... if not, I'll just wait for my next cross border shopping trip
I'm starting to get a little skeptical about these prices...what's the Gaf guy's source, anyway?
It's GAF. If he's wrong, it won't end well for him. I'd say the odds are quite good this list is accurate.
this will work with toys R us $5 off anything coupons print em up now!
That was my plan, Jack & Daxter Collection for $14.99 works for me! I hope those $5 coupons are still valid on Tuesday, and some dumbasses don't ruin it. I've already seen a bonehead on Slickdeals admit to arguing with a manager over one.
i hope jak and daxter collection drops for PSN as well

I have heaps of PSN money to burn
same here, got $6 from them a while ago...can't remember why, but I've been waiting for a good deal on a PSN (PS only) game. But I would rather use my real money for Ratchet and Clank Collection cause R&C>J&D
Where's an MSRP drop on those damn Vita Memory Cards. Blows my mind that because they go proprietary they think that they can charge 5x the normal price of comparable memory like micro sd. (Obviously they can, but I won't pay it.) Lexar and Sandisk need to get on those things so I can move all my PSP stuff over and maybe start actually buying some more digital stuff. I'd assume the digital versions will drop in price too.
Amazon has pretty good prices for the 8GB and higher cards. For thirds party companies to make memory cards, they need to first pay a license fee to Sony. I don't think Sony is willing to license it yet. It probably wont happen until next year.

This +1

Those games are near perfection in every aspect.

What are the chances (or has anyone read anything) regarding how the MSRP drops of the physical media will relate to the digital downloads?

My guess is that Sony plans on continuing to charge us for "convenience".

***And yes I know that was a train wreck of a sentence but you guys know what I'm asking.***

C'mon, Sony. How long does the PS Vita have to languish before you get on that price drop we all know is coming? Plus, Uncharted Vita at the price it should have been from the start... ha!

Uncharted 3 for $20 ain't no laughing matter though. That's pretty good.

Looks like the waiting for Uncharted 3 and Jak and Daxter to drop has finally paid off. I might wait a bit longer on J&D to get it below $20 due to backlog levels and since I have played them all before on the PS2. I do not know if I can wait any longer on Uncharted 3 though. I have been wanting to play it for so long.

No they're not. Uncharted 3 in particular can get very annoying.

Ain't it the truth. The first Uncharted was very well done, and the second one is definitely as close to perfect as that particular kind of game can get. But the third one has such a strange pace and is a little too full of itself.

I could not have said this any better myself. Uncharted 2 is the high point of that series and quite possibly this generation of console gaming.
i bet this is the big new Sony is going to drop at gamescon tommorrow.
Exactly what I was thinking.

lol, well up until Uncharted 3, which is alright. The first two are a must.
