Just a heads up if you still need the back to the future collection steelbook for some reason you can use the 10% off tv show cartweel app coupon on it it's 29.99 now 

 
Best Buy still hasn't shipped my preorder for the Pokemon steelbook. Website now shows that it is backordered 3-4 weeks. Went to get a copy in store today, but they couldn't find the 2 copies they got in.

I own that one. It was a Best Buy exclusive for dvd only when Bluray was still entering the market. I remember Best Buy had tons of them at the time but being that its dvd it didn't have much value since Bluray was taking over soon after.

 
So I found GoT steelbooks for 1 & 2, same price as PKMN. Trying to decided on which one to get, GoT is discontinued and comes with DC&UV which i can sell to lower the cost. And I'm hearing PKMN is just upscaled and barebones.... Also I don't like having multiple movies in one case/disc.

Apparently TPC retracted the rights to the Pikachu shorts. I really hope it isn't because of the banned one.
 
I'm going to be getting the new 007 movie steelbook  today and I would like to know what other 007 movie steelbook  should I pick up with it for 5$

They'll likely all be the same price so there wouldn't be an advantage to buying one over any other, so I guess just buy which ever is your favorite or which ever looks the best. :)

Fantastic Four is Fox and got a BB steelbook, X-men DoFP also Fox and got Target metalpak so there's not really a definitive way to tell what kind of release Deadpool is going to get.

Couldn't you show them the packing slip that came with it and use that as a sort of receipt? Since you already bought Spectre you should be able to price match the current deal. I think....

It's a bundle deal, so you have to return the online purchase and make a separate purchase. This will make you lose the 500 bonus preorder points.

If the bonus behaves anything like the same bonus for video games, once you've placed a preorder for the movie as long as you purchase it within the first week, you can return the movie and rebuy it in the bundle and keep the $5 bonus.

I preordered Rise of the Tomb Raider but the week it came out Best Buy had a special where if you buy RotTR and Halo 5 at the same time they took $25 off of Halo 5. I returned my RotTR and rebought it with Halo 5 and kept my bonus.

No, they didn't do anything about it because I didn't think about it until after I left. Once you preorder your account is flagged (for lack of a better term) as eligible for the promo, and as long as you purchase a copy of the game (movie) within the first week you still get the bonus.

Of course this is an assumption that the movie promo works the same way as the game promo.
 
In my experience you have to complete the preorder transaction, then do a return/rebuy to keep the cert. I did it a few times last year with games and I'm trying the same thing with the Bond steelbooks.
 
So I went to Bluray.com for the Pokemon trilogy and no one reviewed it. Rather than research the movies can anyone here tell me if they are decent or not? I've played Sapphire most of the way the through but largely abstained from Pokemania. Would my kids like these movies without prior Pokemon knowledge?

 
Movie 3 is far and away the best of the three. It's actually dubbed well (er, 4Kids well anyway) and is still one of the Top 5 movies in the franchise.

Movie 1 has OK moments, but has not aged well and the dubbing is atrocious.

Movie 2 is not quite as terrible a dub, but the actual movie itself is just OK overall.

If your kids are into Pokemon, they'll likely enjoy the movies. Do note that these discs do not have 5.1 Surround Sound, subtitles, or any extras. The original releases do include all that, but the movies themselves are cropped to 4:3.

I don't know if you can view them on a TV or not, but Pokemon's website has the movies available for streaming.
 
Hey everyone, I'm pretty late to the steelbook collecting game for movies that I would like and I saw a post on craigslist for 5 sealed steelbooks and I was wondering if it was a decent deal.  I haven't bought anything that wasn't much above retail but I'm tempted by these because they're all OOS.  All are sealed.

Guardians of the Galaxy 3D Steelbook (Best Buy)

Avengers: Age of Ultron 3D Steelbook(Best Buy) (Vision version)

Captain America: The Winter Soldier 3D Steelbook

Big Hero 6 Steelbook (Target)

It's not exactly a deal, but it would cost you $160-200 to buy all of those individually and new on the aftermarket.  Some cost more than others.

1) Grab your ankles, since you have a serious reaming about to happen.

2) Keep your eyes open for when the next ones comes out so you won't get boofed again on missing them.

I'd try haggling that price down a bit and see if you can get them to lower it down somewhat. I think the dude selling them on CL is seeing the lower end of eBay prices and thinking he can get that on CL.

Those prices are MSRP or above MSRP in all cases, as I think I paid about $20 - $25 + tax for each one of those at time of release, with most of them being $20-$23. Winter Soldier was $25 from my order info, the rest were $20, save Thor Dark World which was $23.

I got GOTG sealed, AoU and CA. I could let them go if you bout to drop all that money lol. I have big hero as well but I think I want to keep that one.

 
In other news, I checked this morning to see if the drop of Spectre to $17.99 was for the SB version as well and it didn't.  What was a surprise is that it's out of stock for shipping and isn't in any store near to me at all, save one that is 100+ miles from me.

Maybe this one was more limited than we thought it would be.

 
Couldn't possibly be. When I dropped in on Tuesday there were two-dozen of the Spectre steelbook sitting on the shelf.

... still haven't picked mine up though. Maybe I'll swing by tomorrow and see where they're at now.

I've seen it happen, it's the casual Friday shopper making it in at the end of the week picking up new releases.
