Charlie Bronson Bane was fantastic.

ing fantastic. Yeah, I know he's supposed to be Latin American. But he isn't. He's British. And Dent didn't take acid to the face, he was burned in a fire. And The Joker was supposed to have his skin and hair permanently stained, not face paint and hair dye, but he did, and it worked, and so does Hardy as Bane. Even the voice. Especially the voice. And I didn't have a problem with how he died, though a shot of him bleeding out/post-mortum would have been nice.
I thought the plot twist with Talia Al Ghul was a Bad Thing. I was expecting it all along (the accent, the scar, the cryptic references to her father, the "I'm a love interest out of nowhere!" angle...), and making
Bane the son of Ra's Al Ghul caught me pretty off-guard. Shame they went back on it in the end. Her death scene was a little... off, too.
In fact, Talia/Tate didn't really work for me in general throughout the movie. She either should have been cut completely or given a much bigger role. Same goes for Catwoman, though Hathaway was so god damn good I'd obviously prefer the latter. There was just too much... "Bruce talks to a woman once or twice and now they're in love" for me. Develop the relationships, dammit. I was really hoping for more Long Halloween/Dark Victory-type interactions, but instead he just trusts her immediately. And she betrays him and he seems pretty cool with the whole thing because
Also, what was up with Holly or whoever the

that was following Selina around? She's there for a few scenes then just disappears. At least Alfred shows up again at the very end.
Did not like Robin. Him going in to the cave at the end was actually kinda cool, but for the other two-and-a-half hours? Big negative.
The French Revolution stuff was glorious. Crane as courtroom judge was great. The two fights between Batman and Bane were fantastic. Crippling Batman so early in did bizarre things to the pacing and structure of the story. Dialing down the scary voice was a good idea. The ending worked well; Bruce letting himself die in the end would have been cheap emotion and contrary to every god damn thing that had happened prior.
