Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Well ya not many people have 9% Sales tax but I just use it as a HIGH tax rate and the rest of course is based on the person who is sending. $2.16 is the going rate for a 6 ounce first class with DC over Paypal. Some people will go with 5 ounce without DC or even for some reason people will go foldable mailrates less than $1.75. Bubble Mailer is again another flexible point. Some people dont even use them which I think is a crime in itself. I used to have a STACK of Kmart Clearance Bubble Mailers in ALL sizes but the X-Mas season cleaned me out. I usually just use Sam's Club priced 3M/Scotch Size 0 Bubble Mailers which comes out to $.27 cents each but I just put $.50... Paypal of course is just a factor of convenience for most people so its up to the person again if to accept or not to accept... A "fair" value would be closer to $10-$11 but of course the world we live in isn't "fair" we live in a world where supply and demand control price and vice versa so if you do find someone willing to pay all the power to ya...

I was able to snag a copy of Bee Movie for $12.48...last one and it was in the case along with any other clearance games

Just came back from the Los Angeles Target store, there were:

The Simpson (360) $25 - about 5 copies left, behind glass.
Naruto (360) $30 - about 3 copies
PGR4 (360) $30 - A lot of copies, more than 5.
GTA: San Andreas (xbox) $14 - about 3 left.

They were a lot Call of Duty PSP games left, did not check the price though. There were also logitech xbox 360 controls for $14 and $30.

If anybody around the area is interested in these games, should take advantage today, because everything is usually gone by Saturday. I'm surprised I found good clearance games.

Mark downs are a per store basis, it depends on many factors, but primarily on selling points & stock for that individual item.

Thank you for that reply. It seems the same as my experience. Good & bad to know. Now I know I'm not really missing out on clearance items. But also means I'm likely to find what I've found already, clearance items are very hard to obtain.

Though IAmTheCheapestGamer might have taken the wrong approach with venting he has a valid point. Most established and even some newbies have had great experiences, but there are those hear that over value there items. I feel if you want a profit (small/large) go to eBay or somewhere else. Now I'm not saying that members don't have certain items of value, but we all joined this site for the same reason... we're cheap asses. In regards to hooking others up with clearance titles we all have our own opinions. I'm more than happy to pick up games for memeber's and have done so multiple times. I never expect extra $ for my time or gas because usually I'm going to look for myself as well, so I don't know how members justify this regardless of increasing gas prices; shipping expenses can vary depending on if items are being exchange or purchased. Most the time, even if you're going for another CAG, most of us probably buy something for ourselves too. Usually most members are more than happy to pay a little extra because they realize you're doing them a favor, but you shouldn't expect it IMHO. This is a great community with members willing to help there own and I'm proud to be a member of it.

I couldn't have said it better myself. I just wish I had found out about this site ALOT sooner than I did, since I would've loved to have taken part in the $5 CC game clearance madness. I've found my fair share of deals since I joined the site though, so I'm definitely NOT complaining.

I'm sorry to interrupt this pissing contest with an on-topic post, but here we go:

I tend to be diligent with my Monday evening visits if I'm staking out a price drop. This week, I stopped by around 7:30 PM, saw a few new drops, but not the ones I was interested in. (Simpsons & VParty Animals for 360) I verified this by punching the DCPIs into a scanner.

Yesterday afternoon, m'lady wanted to hit Target, so I tagged along. Wouldn't you know it, both were marked down and clearly tagged!

I suspect one of two things:
1) Markdowns are handled on more of a rolling basis, so the the old schedule may no longer apply.

2) The games I wanted were in the glass cases. Could they be handled by a different team? The clearance endcap is close to hardware, so maybe someone from that dept. did the loose games? Perhaps someone from electronics with a key needs to do the case markdowns?

I've been told by at least 2 different managers(electronics and customer service) that they do markdowns constantly Monday through Friday and that there's really NO SET DATE when stuff is marked down anymore.
