Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Stopped by the Lansing Target (across from Lansing Mall), they had a handful of copies of The Simpsons 360 for $25. Nothing else notable worth mentioning, unless someone is looking for The Ship at $5.

Also, found a random copy of GRAW2 for ps3 mixed in with an endcap that didn't have an orange tag. Scanned up $0.00 so I just told the lady at the counter it was with a bunch of $10 clearance games so she gave it to me for that (didn't want to push my luck with anything lower).

Has anyone else noticed when things ring up out of system that the screen comes up with the title of the game and then "How much does this item cost?" That seems like a weird way to go about things to me, but I suppose its good for us

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars (PC) - $9.98 (only 3 copies)

Viva Pinata: Party Animals (360) - $13.98 (they had at least 35 copies, if not more)

Probably not. It would take an assload of time to get them from Target's site and upgrade the list to one with DPCIs in it. I know other clearance OPs give UPCs and item numbers... but... to be honest with you kid, I'm not as good as those OPs.

I ended up doing the non-CAG thing and buying my copy @ $13.98, since I figured if I waited, the employees would've found the copy I had stashed at my local shop and the other store would sell out. Well, guess what, the other local store DID SELL OUT and the stashed copy was unburied when I went to check price the one night, so I said to hell with it and bought it.

I'm up to the 5th collosi now and let me tell you, the game is WELL WORTH $14.

And where in the Tri-State area did you hit, Draknight? I'm just curious, since I'm tempted to hit a fairly new Target just near the NJ/PA border, but I want to know if I'm wasting my time going there.

I picked up Lego SW 2 for 360 for 5 bucks and Shadow of Colossus for 5 bucks at the Target in Menomonee Falls, WI. I also got Williams Pinball collection for Wii for $20 (not the $14 clearance price listed in another thread, but still well worth it) NBA 08 the Show was $30 on PS3, dunno if that's a good price, they had some other assorted PS3 sports games on clearance as well.

Do you have any prescriptions that need to be filled? This might sound silly but try the pharmacy counter. It worked for me on some DS games that rang up "OOS" awhile back. The pharmacist let me name my price probably because he didn't want to screw with doing a price check.

You should have asked to speak with a manager that whats I do and it always works. They then ask you what price sounds good to you because they dont want to get in trouble. At least that is what I have experienced. I recently came across a large amount of Folklore and picked them up for trade or sale say $25 shipped if anyone is interested. I am only looking to trade for PS3 games. As for the cost it was $16-17 with tax, $3 to ship with DC and the store I found the copies at was easily 20+miles away so gas money also + my time and the fact that I picked them up to be a nice guy.

Okay, I was at my local Target looking for Folklore (no LUCK) and I happen upon a price tag that said NCF was 29.99 now 7.48 for Transformers. It was next to the PS3 version of the game.

I went and scanned the game and it was 29.99. I took the price tag and scanned it and it said ITEM NOT AVAILABLE. Has anyone found this game for that price?

I didn't buy because I left my wallet and home. Is it worth it to go back and pick it up the the $7.48 price?

My Target has 4 copies of SotC left (not including the one I hid), so I think I should be ok. Another one not that far away has 2 copies. If they suddenly start to disappear, then I will jump at the game at $13.98.

Snagged another 4 copies of Folklore today. Found another stash of clearance items like earbuds for the DS, cases, that sort of peripheral junk. My copies of Folklore rang up as out of system when I scanned them myself, which is weird since they were in the system on Thursday when I bought the first batch. No problem buying them because they were all marked with those orange stickers.

My Target is brand new, just a month or so old. I love it. Hunting down the clearance racks and orange stickers throughout the store is like hunting for treasure. Found a great coffee travel mug for 6 bucks the other day, stainless steel. I spend way too much time and money there. Not the greatest for games, but I've got a few deals.

The clearance prices are not automatic. If the employees don't think the games are there, they wont input the prices.

I think they first check to see if the game is still in the system (even though you may physically hide it, it should still be listed).

I've purchased clearance games that were cheaper than what was shown on the sticker (just scan it with the price checker to verify the current price)

Did you scan it? Sometimes they don't change the pricetags. I saw a copy of Stranglehold (360) at a Target last night. It was still stickered at $29.98, but when I scanned it, it came up as $14.98.

Not true. The price is marked down in the computers and then the employees are only supposed to follow a list to put stickers on and depending on the store move it to a clearance section.

This. I can't count how many times I've found things clearance tagged that rang up two or three drops below the tag. Just because they don't retag it or scan the item doesn't mean it won't ring up cheap. Everything is tied to the UPC number - items are changed in the central Target computer, and items will ring up at that price when scanned at a POS machine.

I'm not ebaying a single one. I am not one of those people. I'm buying them and trading for games of similar "value". Used, not part of the Target clearance, games my store doesn't have, etc. I just initiated a trade for Stranglehold, for instance.

Don't assume. I know there are a lot of bad seeds out there that ruin it for other gamers, but I'm not selling or ripping people off. There are still many copies at my store, I could make a nice buck if I wanted to by buying all of them and sticking them on eBay, but I'm not.

Anyway, back on topic, at my store the Simpsons is $25 and PGR4 is $30. I'd buy both of them at a cheaper price, especially the Simpsons game. Hopefully there's another price drop in coming weeks.

Actually you were smart to grab them (I hope you got them all) if the game in now "out of system" on Monday/Tuesday when it scans such (by the weekly price change/audit team)...it will be pulled and sent off to Goodwill? or ? So, good for you and good luck on your trades.

If that's the case, I should snag the rest too. I was shocked to see the out of system notice when I scanned them. The girl at the checkout didn't give me a problem, though.

On the other hand, my girlfriend was allowed to stack 3 $5 coupons with our groceries, so she seemed like a rather lax cashier. She's the one who told us if we had any other coupons we could use them, so she dug through her pocketbook. Our store is so new that every time you buy something it prints out a $5 off next purchase of such-and-such price coupon. I live in Maine, but my area is starting to see a lot of new stores lately. Target is far and away my favorite.
