Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

She had asked another guy there and that's pretty much what he said (that they were from the Electronics department). Of course, the Toy and Electronics departments intermingle in most Targets. I tried the "Well, can we just scan it and see if it works?" line but she said the other guy told her it won't work. Yeah, fine, don't accept the coupon, but don't piss on my shoes and tell me it's raining .

ets - and isn't that the point? I mean, things like Leapfrogs are certainly Electronics, but also toys of course. So it isn't unreasonable to assume the damn coupon should apply to video games. The coupon doesn't say a "Toy DEPARTMENT" purchase - just "toys". I have no problem with them refusing it by the way - it's just funny that sometimes I am able to use it on Coke/cat litter/clothes with no toys or video games in the purchase at all, and other times when I bring up two kids video games (say Spiderman FoF and Bee Movie Game), which to me certainly seem like toys, and they reject it :lol:.

In general, of course, this coupon has been great. Before this I only ever got the occasional $5 off $100 coupon at Target. They were never a very coupon-heavy place (like, say, CC or Best Buy).

My store has one Halo controller mingled in with the other controllers that is sitting at $42 for the past couple of weeks. I don't remember seeing them have any since the Halo 3 launch. It has no sticker on it. My question is - does it have to be physically scanned on Mondays for the price to be updated/lowered in the system. I'd buy it at $30 but it's not dropping, and I'm afraid that if I moved to the endcap with the clearance stuff that some one else is going to snag it at $42. You don't happen to have a DCPI # also do you?

I may be returning it however after reading all the posts about 5.1 sound issues and frame rates not being fixed with the first patch EA released a few weeks back.

I guess I've been really lucky with the coupon.... probably used it 10 separate times over 4 or 5 different stores and only had a problem once. That one time was because I didn't hit $25 (I was still testing the waters to see if the computer had the $25 limit). I've even used it one time, go to the car, then used it again at a different cashier. Aside from video games, I have not once bought any actual toys with it. Most of the time they barely even bat an eye at it; just scan it and tell me the total.

Yup, its been covered for a few pages now. In fact, its already at $29.98 at some stores and we're hoping that some copies are still around when it eventually goes to $14.98. Also, if its still in stock around you, Lair should be $41.98 or $29.98.

Yea, I have never had a problem with the coupon being used for games. I've had some odd looks, but the cashier usually just scans it and it goes through so they don't think twice about it. Actually once I had a total of like 24.xx and I told the cashier I was gonna grab some gum so I'm over $25 and he was like "no dont worry about it" and he scanned it and it went though so who knows.

I did have a woman yesterday say that I could only use one coupon per purchase even though my total was over $50, but I looked at her and she just scanned them and they both credited.

I think of video games as toys. Not kids toys, but toys. There are toys for kids, and toys for adults (both in video games and other toys). A toy is something that you play with. Do you play your videogames, or watch them?

I see games as a form of entertainment like music or a movie, not really a toy. But if that's what it takes to get the coupon to work, then so be it!

One of the Targets that I frequent has a whole ing crapload of Crackdown for $14.98, similar to the picture someone posted earlier. Do they just gather up all the copies of that game from a particular area and sell them at one location?

Not just in reference to Crackdown, but I was wondering the same thing in regards to video game clearances period. I find it weird that one Target by where I live has pretty much zero when it comes to VG clearance deals while another currently has a ton of games (although not quite at the price point I want it yet).

That IS funny... well, it's really violent, and the villians are constantly swearing at you. That's the extent of the MA rating.

Co-op is pretty fun, especially with the different fun modes like "Rocket Arena".

My stores Orange Box count was at 10+ last week all tucked safely away in the case. They put them out on an endcap this Monday and now only 4 are left. I'm gonna hafta buy one with the coupon and hope one copy sticks around until the $15 mark. I've only found one copy of Lair in four different stores so I bought it with the coupon and one of those $5 gift cards they are giving with the purchase of 5 Pepsi fridge packs...I can live with Lair at $20 instead of $15. Anybody looking for games in the Fredericksburg, VA area should check out the Super Target in Massaponax...they have a good selection of 360 and PS3 clearance titles all at the lowest available prices.

On another note, my store had 1 red, 1 black, 2 brown, and 2 pink zunes in the case NOT CLEARANCED MARKED this past Sunday. I typed the DCPI # to check the price ($94) as to not alert the employees to the price. Today, only the 2 pink ones are left and they still aren't marked. Somebody knows they are on clearance and is buying them up. Funny thing is that if I didn't know that they could eventually hit $50, I would buy one now. But I'm a CAG, so I won't.

Good lord - 2 coupons AT ONCE? And I get problems using one coupon on a game purchase.... Arrgg... I definitely have less problems with the coupon when I have a bunch of stuff - like $60-$100 worth. But I'd never dream of trying to use 2 (or 4) coupons at once in that case!

I didn't know about the Zune's but last night an employee had the case open and was pushing the red ones on people. They had 2 left and were still $125 or something. It was definitely not worth it at that price so I passed, but it looked like 2 other people were ready to snap them up. Had they been $94 I probably would have gotten one even though they are as ugly as sin. This was the store that was behind all the others (Simpsons still $30, VPPA still $15, Spongepods still $20, etc).
