Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Thanks for sharing some similar experiences...It's funny but I found another game (Tony Hawk 8 - PS2) that rang up as $0.00 at a different Target. Again I asked about the game and how much they would sell it for since it was tagged $12.98 but rang up $0.00 at the price checker. The cashier guy at the electronic dept manually rang it up at $12.98. I told him that I didn't want it anymore especially at that price. I guess cashiers can manually ring up stuff things that are "no longer in the system." Next time I'm going get a manager involved or something...

In addition, I picked up Viva Pinata: Party Animals for $7.98. I figured it'd be good for some social gatherings and that price wasn't bad.

There were also 3 copies of Naruto for the 360 which I heard was a good game for $14.98. But I'm not really into anime usually so i passed

Im returning my zune tomorrow, damn synch cable died on me. either that or the whole thing died. Microsoft and their POS hardware. i only used it for the gym so i really won't miss it that much. It is a white zune 30gb. By the way if anybody wants this i am willing to sell it for $110 with a free copy of F.E.A.R gold edition (PC), PM me.

The target on West Broad St in Columbus Ohio, has a ton of the Guitar Hero face plates @ 3.++ per. A few PS3 games for 15 mostly sports games. Naruto? for 360 @ 30 Viva Pinata @15. This is just what I scene yesterday.

The updates are usually done on Mondays. Although some stores may be lazy about it, so I usually check on Tuesdays.

Yes, they are supposed to be done on Mondays but I have found at the stores in this area (Pittsburgh) the drops can take a couple days to show up on the shelves. I have also found games "appear" in the clearance areas mid week that were not there on Monday. If you really want to get a jump on the clearance games definitely go on Monday and hit the stores up a couple other times that week. You never know what you will find.

Just got back from Target and I spoke with an employee about the 80 Zunes. Target will no longer be carrying them (Zunes) so they are clearancing them out. I was able to purchase one 80 GB for $174.98 with the $5 off coupon. The 4 GB are $105 and the 8 GB are $115.

Ditto here. I am wondering when they will decide to drop the price of Viva Pinata: PA. Even at the $7.48 mark my local target has 30+ still waiting. Also, they had a few Naruto at the $14.XX mark so I picked one up. If they drop it further next week then I will return it and rebuy it.

Simpsons PS3 is still $24.98 for me for the 4th week. This is getting annoying, and I'm starting to think they'll dump it before they drop it to $12.48. But there's no way I'm paying $25 for the game. So the waiting game goes on. They were totally redoing the video game section and tearing out all the shelves and such, but not much change in stock/clearance items. Did see a lot of Orange Boxes for $29.98 but given I already had it for the PC not interested. (although I might get it if it goes to $14.98 just for a consolized Portal)

Another Target which had a TON of clearance areas was down to a tiny little rack. Kind of concerning. (This is the same Target which had 250+ copies of Crackdown at $14.98 that disappeared into the night last week) Hopefully they're not abandoning doing a lot of clearances.

Noticed a ton of 360 NHL 2K8s for $14.98. Had one in my hand for a while but decided to wait to see if it drops to $7.48, given the very iffy reviews it got.

My closest Target had a stack of them and forgot to red tag them when this clearance started. Today they red tagged them...at 24.98, even when every other PS3 game had had two drops.

They also had a stack of Orange Boxes...all gone. I think someone hoarded them. Nobody wanted them when they were $30, and I went early today. They still had Lair for 14.98 and various sports games for 14.98/12.98/7.48, PS2 Boogie for 7.48, and Singstar Amped for 7.48. Great prices for everything I wasn't interested in.

I think I've given up. I went to another Target where Orange Box went from 41.98 to 29.98 and, like before, they've got a stack of them. But I think the game is too "valuable" and will be gone before I can get to it. It's Folklore all over again.

And, like Folklore, I'll just have to wait until it drops at GS and use a coupon.

Shoulda stayed home today and played Folklore.

I don't watch Naruto, but the game is pretty good. Wide open city to explore, collectibles and missions...it sort of feels like a fighting game RPG. You run into enemies during missions and you fight them a la Street Fighter.

It got pretty good reviews, so I picked it up at Target and have enjoyed it. Plus, the game does a good job introducing you to the Naruto universe.
