Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Lair was still 30 at my store like orange box and MoAA. BTW many targets will have a lot more clearance soon because they are redesigning their electronics departments. It is a nationwide change. Most of the TVs have already started to drop as well as old clocks, DVD players, etc.

I saw some official PSP accessories on clearance at a target that was redoing the shelves. I didn't take down the items last week but I'll be sure to pay closer attention next time. Last week the prices weren't so hot (all 30% off) anyway.

Today there wasn't much new at the store I checked. Most stuff was moved (to make room for GTA 4) and kept the same price. Was a stack of PGR4 (14.98), 1 PGR3 (out of the system), Lair, Orange Box, and Motorstorm all still 29.98. Metal of Honor PS3 was still 41.98 and Simpsons (PS3) was still 34.98. There were like 5 of the wireless 360 adapters still 5$ and the 360 memory card was clearanced at 30% off but I don't remember the price. I did see some Wiis in stock and I overheard someone saying they had like 40 of them still.

Holy crap at that PGR3 price! I picked up a copy at $5 and shipped it to a friend, but $2.48? Shit I would have picked up extra copies just for system link!

Picked up PGR4 for $15 at Meriden, CT Target. They were marked $29.98 but they didn't update the price sticker.

Really enjoying the game as the achievements are A LOT easier then PGR3, and to top it off motorcycles give the game more depth then PGR3 had. Other then the motorcycles and weather effects It doesn't seem that different.

I was checking for 3 weeks at mine and finally on Monday I got Simpsons 360 for 12.48 and Viva Pinata PA for 7.48. I'm not sure VP Party is even worth 7.50 but my 6 year old daughter was having a lot of fun with it last night.

Didn't open the Simpsons (might have to wait until the weekend).

I was able to use the $5 off coupon (got 2 simpsons and 1 VP).

THe Simpsons (360) is the last of the clearance items I'm still looking for.

There weren't many here to start with, and they all sold at $24.98.

The story I got from an employee is that Target will no longer carry the Zune therefore they are putting them on clearance. I have been able to pick up the 8 GB for $125 and the 80 GB for $175. Both are 2nd generation (the latest Zune version).

Went by my local Target and only PC game left that were not expansion packs were Fable and SW Battlefront II. But I saw a lot of "Bee Movie", "The Golden Compass" and nothing major for clearance. I think the only thing that really made look twice was the temp. price drop of Assasin's Creed for the 360 at $29.99 but all in all, things sell to quickly in my area and always a situation if you snooze or lose if you wait for the price to drop another week. I want the new Command & Conquer expansion and even the Civ4 latest version to clearance. Wish the Sims stuff (not those full games but the ones you are in various situations and you play either the guy or girl) would go on clearance over here.

I am hoping for a drop to 14.xx but on monday i saw a guy putting them all into a little shopping cart and pulling them off the shelves. Im hoping they arnt done with the drops

Does anyone know what it usually means when an employee pulls all the PS3 and 360 "clearance" items out and puts them in a shopping cart, then tells me they have to "Re-arrange stock" ?

I do hope that doesnt mean they arnt dropping to 14.xx, but not sure, anyone have any inside info here?

I got a 360 PH Need for Speed Most Wanted with an as is sticker for $1.86...weird. This store also had that PS3 baseball game that was reported at $10 marked down to $5. I found an OOS PS3 F1 and the cashier asked me how much it was...so I got that for $5 as well. Wasn't really looking for any of these but $12 total for all three so I had to get them.

Why is it that most games or DVDs with "as is stickers" seem to be marked off by 90% or so, but open box items with "as is stickers" like LCD monitors only get marked down by 30% typically? I thought I was going to get an LCD monitor for $20 or so when I first saw the orange and white sticker only to be bummed by the $140 that was printed on it.

As far as I can tell, the "as is" discounts are determined by a manager, so I don't know if there is a pattern of how they decide what the discount should be, but the "as is" discounts do eventually drop if the items sit there long enough, which they usually don't. Also, they probably assume that the games or DVDs with the "as is" stickers are less likely to move as quickly as an LCD monitor.

Case in point, one of my Targets has a lot of cheap DVDs that have just been sitting there, so the "as is" helps to move them out. Also, I've found HD-DVDs at Target in the recent past that no one wanted, even though they've been discontinued, so someone slapped that sticker on them as an incentive. If a monitor drops by 30%, it will probably get snapped up that week by someone.

YMMV. It can work if you convince customer service to go that extra step for you, but they won't necessarily be willing to let you return and rebuy, supposedly because of restocking policies.

I saw Metalh123's post at around 2pm but was unable to get to the Gardena Target until about a little after 3 pm. Definedbyclass, you beat me to Target by about 15 or 20 minutes. I was about 4 1/2 blocks away, too. I had planned on checking this Target in the afternoon. Atleast, now I know who my competition is in these parts.

Anyways, I'm glad the games went to fellow CAGs. Hoping for a price drop in other areas. Lair also dropped to $14.98 but I don't think this Target had them in stock.

how long does it normally take for an mp3 player like the 80 to drop. because i bought the 30 on saturday and i think the return policy is only like 14 days. i would buy the 80 for 150 or less.
