Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

I have the PS2 component and Xbox HDMI cables by the same company and I have no complaints. Also, I advise against the advise of Wii component naysayers. If you can pick some up for a reasonable price, it's totally worth it. Fixes color saturation problems entirely, in my experience.

Went back to my closest Target yesterday and much to my surprise saw F1 tagged $14.98. I thought stuff didn't drop last week (it was $29.98 the week before - checked with scan and everything). They had run out of the Simpsons game before that anyway though now I'm wondering if I should check one of the other stores - but if it dropped last week it is way too late.

Even better though the Spongepods (SpongeBob MP3 players) *finally* dropped from $19.98 to $9.98. This store had a whole endcap full of them for a couple months at $20. I picked one up for my son. It's not a bad purchase as it includes a standard mini USB-to-regular USB cable - something that they usually sell separately for $10 and up by itself. Of course I have plenty of those already . But if you are looking for a dirt cheap MP3 player for a kid these seem like a good deal. There's also a purple/pink one that I guess is supposed to be for a girl .

What I need to check out are the video-playing versions. Those were clearanced to $40 I think at another Target and I would pick that up at $20 - they probably dropped last week as well and those were probably snapped up faster but I'll look tomorrow if it seems from reports here that Simpsons finally dropped most places...

Just buy it for your PC. PS3 graphics would do nothing for the game, imo, and you get the benefit of using a mouse. $20 on Steam. If my computer can run it, anyone's can.

Thanks io. I will keep an eye out for these. I think i've seen them before but haven't really paid attention to them. I hope my 5-year old likes it. He already uses either my wife's Zen V or my Ipod. I think he's still too young for an Ipod so this will do for now.

These are easily worth the $10. I purchased two, one for an eight year old and one for my three year old son (he uses his big sister's so now there are no more fights!) Don't have the sound quality of an Ipod or other high end MP3 player, but nothing a kid would notice. There are Disney Mix stick MP3 players on clearance also going for $12, but only certain versions. Both players have 1 GB internal memory and have SD card slots. Nice thing about these players is that we, the parents, get to control what music goes in them. Another thing to look out for is a 9" Audiovox portable DVD player which is on clearance...my store keeps them in lock up so nobody knows they are there. Hopefully I will get one for 75% making it about $35.

Picked up a white Zune for $94.xx this weekend in Viera, FL. They had 2 left and the checkout guy was a real douchebag. He had a Zune, but he didn't like the interface so he returned it. Plus the iPod touch is so much better... yea and 5x expensive.

The Melbourne, FL target had a brown one left marked at the $132.xx price or whatever it was.

Hopefully Simpsons 360 will drop to $12.48 soon.

Just returned from my local target. No new prices, just some games that were already on clearance moved to the endcaps. Lair was gone. I mentioned to the clerk I was suprised someone snatched it already (considering it was there on Saturday), as I assumed it hit clearance at this store today. The guy said "oh, that won't be on clearance anytime soon", to which I replied "yea, cause the last one's gone". He said that it sold at reg. price and that if Target sold these games at clearance all the time, they wouldn't make money. I told him it's been on clearance at other targets for a while but I figured he should know by now anyway, so he might've grabbed it today...

I don't have the game, so I don't know for sure, but all the reports I read said patch for Lair would come out the 17th. Man, I'd really like to check that game out, but with the bad reviews, I don't think I'll bite at $30. My local Target just marked it down to $41.98 today and only have like 2 copies. There's a Target down the road that has it at $29.98, but only 1-2 copies left. I'm afraid it'll be gone by the next drop, but I guess I'll just have to live without (probably a good idea considering my backlog and the money I've spent lately).

Why is it that only the dumbest employees have information to share? I've gone into Gamestops with employees that swore if you open an xbox 360, the processors would break, Best Buys with employees that swear there's no difference between a DVD+R and a DVD-R, and Wal-marts & Staples' where employees don't know store policy.

I also just remembered about 3 months ago there was a lady and her son looking to buy a Xbox 360. I informed her that if she went across the street to Best Buy, she'd get one that came with 2 free games, and could also collect points for her reward zone if she was a member. Perhaps that's why the main electronics guy is such a douche to me.... or he's prejudiced

Unfortunately, there is no way to tell. Sometimes it takes a week, other times it takes a month or two. I would say it is usually at least a few weeks before a game drops again.
