Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

I was wondering about that, though I should've realized that they probably snagged 2 games for the price of one or so.

I still can't believe I didn't think to look at CC for a copy of the original Genji for PS2, instead of buying a used one for $2 more at CrapStop. Oh well.

Oh and for anyone(meaning Lude, Whitedeath, any other local CAGs)in my area, the Target in DC got rid of their old gen games that were down to 75% off last week when I checked there. Numerous copies of LSW 2 for 360 and a couple for the original Xbox disappeared, as did their lone copy of GTA: San Andreas for Xbox. So, it would seem that either the flea market guy hit there or they junked them out.

The copies of Def Jam Icon and several other 360 games which were there last week were long gone too. The Simpsons for 360 was down to $25 and I saw a couple copies of Supreme Commander(for the $7.48 price I believe) and numerous other PC titles, most of which I didn't pay attention to since I don't have a high end PC to play them on.

Does the Zune have red clearance tags anywhere? Even under the glass case on the shelf labels? Most likely if they don't, then it's not clearanced.

057101100 is what is on my receipt...I bought the limited edition red one....

Good luck finding them at this point......I scored last Monday (first day) and by Tuesday most of the Targets where already wiped out (although I did see some at stores that had only gone down to the $132 pricepoint).

I'm trying to figure out if neither of the Targets I hit today had done the clearance yet, or if they just didn't drop prices... Simpsons PS3 was still $24.98, PGR4 still $29.98, the 250 copies of Crackdown still $14.98, etc (And yes, I scanned everything). From what I could tell more stuff had been moved to clearance (Nothing stuck out as a good deal, though)... sigh.

Glad I grabbed Lair for $29.98 over the weekend, the one store with 2 copies at $41.98 is now down to one copy marked at $41.98... it's probably not going to make it to $14.98, especially with the attention the patch is getting.

I think everyone is just being cautious because of SD/FW hoarders.

Found Tony Hawk P8 (PS3) for $14.98. Used the $5 coupon and got it for $9.98. Saw Lair and Orange Box but they were still at $41.98. Know of another Target that has them for $29.98 but haven't checked for price drop yet.

I also saw a bunch of the SB mp3 players but they were still at $19.98. The SB video player was at $40.98.

At the north Long Beach, CA Target (On South St. just west of Lakewood Blvd.), I picked up PGR4 for $14.98. They had 4 copies left, marked at 29.98 but scan at 14.98. And in the glass case they have 4 copies of Viva Pinata Party Animals for $7.48 (as of 930pm, Monday, April 14th). They also had Avatar BE 360 and Spiderman FoF, but both didnt scan and were offered to me at $12.48. Yet Simpsons for PS3 was marked at 34.98?? I love the consistency of Target clearnace

I bought 2 of the Spongepods (they are really Npower fission digital music players) and 2 of the SpongeBob video players (Npower fusion digital media players). I also picked up a memory card with some SpongeBob episodes on it for $4.98 (originally a way overpriced $19.99). I had to return the Spongepod I bought the other day because after half a day of my son playing with it, it only worked out of one channel no matter how many different headphones/earbuds I plugged in (if you held the plug in at an angle the stereo would work occasionally). I think the upshot is that they are very cheaply made and a couple of times of my 5 year-old plugging and unplugging the earphones knocked something a bit loose or out of place in there. Kind of disappointing. But then I bought 2 to replace it so if the new one breaks (after the return period) he has another.

I mean, for $10 you get the player (1 GB as others have stated with a slot to add a 1 or 2 GB SD card if you want), a set of earbuds, and a mini-to-regular USB cable. Not a bad value at all. The video player is the same and has a decent enough screen though the Spongebob video (on a memory card - have no idea what the capacity is) is severely compressed. I'm trying to put my own video on the internal memory to see what the true quality of the player is, but it only appears to play wmv9 format and I'm having a hard time figuring that one out. I had PSP and iPod video conversion down to a science - this is all differenty .

I also found a Simpsons (last one) for $14.98. I got that and one of the video players combined with the $5 off coupon - the dude in Electronics had to do it since both the game and the player were locked up. He hesitated at first on the coupon but once it worked when scan I was good.

I did not fare so well once I put that stuff in the car, got another coupon, and returned. I was going to get Naruto ($14.98), an Avatar memory card ($4.98 - for the fusion media player also) and some snacks to put me well over $25. The cashier at the front pulled the old "video games are Electronics and not toys" crap on me. So, just like last time, I passed on the whole purchase and left them to put back all my snacks (since I was up in the air anyway about Naruto and the Avatar card and the food was just to get me over $25). The bastards - pennywise/pound foolish or whatever you want to call it. By that I mean I was going to buy a $4.98 clearance item that they had 20 of and another one that they obviously want to get rid of (Naruto) along with several full-priced food items but because they were sticklers about the coupon they lost the whole sale. Meh...

I went to another Target after that that had SEVERAL Simpsons, Viva Pinata PA, and Naruto but they were all still the higher prices there. Very strange - usually the nearby stores are in sync.

All in all it was pretty successful - retured my bad Spongepod, got 2 more, 2 video plaeyrs, the Spongebob memory card, and Simpsons, along with some other stuff and managed to use 3 coupons in the process.

Oh, and I don't know if this is new or not, but I saw Two Worlds clearance tagged for $29.98. I'm not sure I'd even want that at $14.98, but we'll see...

They finally dumped the price of all of their holdover 360 titles, which is a fine thing because there were a massive number of them. I ended up grabbing PGR4 and Naruto for the 360 for $15 a pop, ended up grabbing Juiced 2 for $7.50 as well.

All of the PS3 titles were still at last week's prices (they'll probably sell out at this rate) and the PS2 titles got another cut. Not bad overall considering the weeks upon weeks of stagnant clearance prices.

Yeah, don't bother with the Valley when it comes to finding deals. Either the prices don't go down or the hoarders get everything within hours.
