This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

I did a big round on Tuesday (my 5 local S. FL stores), and only two had a clearance rack, with maybe 3 different PS3 games (PotC, Oblivion, and something else....all $29.98...blah). The other two had a few clearance games, but nothing of note. I'm still looking for Motostorm or Lair for $14.98. :(
 
Went to one of the 2 Targets near me, clearance section was pretty shuffled again but the games were nicely piled. Too bad there was nothing particularly interesting (with almost no next-gen games-- only 1 or 2 Wii games and 1 Harry Potter for the 360), although I noticed Tourist Trophy went back up from $4.98 to $9.98 (confirmed with scan). Weird... glad I got it at $4.98!

(also tried to get a $5 point card but got shot down, although I didn't argue the point too much as I like this Target and didn't want to be known as "That guy")
 
Was a SHATLOAD of Gran Turismo 4 for like, $17.96 at Mall 205 Target in Portland, OR. Also had a couple of Kane & Lynch PS3 for $27. Many of the reduced Club games were gone.

I wish FIFA 08 would drop in price...

hmm saw some Kane and Lynch but it was put back behind the glass and priced as $39.99. Whats the deal with that game?

39.99 is the retail price now. I think only the PS3 version was clearanced.
 
Bashford Manor Target,
Picked up The Bigs 360 for $4.98 after coupon. I did see 3 copies of Cars(360) and over 20 Viva Pinata's for $9.98. I was a little too paranoid to try and use the coupon for a game less than $10. I didn't bite on The Bigs last week, glad I waited, $5 seems about right.
Thinking about picking up Cars for the kiddos. Anyone know if it's any good ?
 
Stopped by the Ypsilanti, MI today and picked up Tony Hawk Project 8 for $7.48 for PS3. They had a few more copies and some of the PS3 Proving Grounds Tony Hawk for $12.48.

I figured I could deal with it for $5. When I got to the checkout, the cashier scanned the game and coupon. DJIcon came up $7.48, ended up with it for free. I was kind of shocked. She acted as if it were no big deal, normal occurance to her.
Cars can be fun, if you/they enjoyed the movie. Worth picking up discounted, IMHO. Another good one for the kids is Thrillville: OTR.

Not sure if this was just a mistake, but today I found the 360 Katamari in the clearance items without a price tag. The scanners couldn't find a price for it. I talked to the videogame person who had to call a manager. He priced it at 9.99.

I tried buying it with some other stuff and using the 10 off coupon. It didn't work, but I was still happy with $10 Katamari.
 
Anyone try and use the $5 off coupon with the 1600 MS points? I know it works with the games, but haven't tried it with the point cards.

The other day, I went to the register with a weight rack and a pair of slacks. The $5 off coupon worked! :)
 
are thes all YMMV cause I've been to 3 Targets and the only UBISOFT developed game worth buying Rayman Raving Rabbids is still $20!!!
 
^^^ I wish they still has that one at my store. Just so you guys know, I have been buying a lot of games at Target and the register printed a $5 off $50 elecetronics purchase that stacks with the 5 off $25. And if it doesn't you can have them apply it at the service desk (YMMV)
 
This seems a good as place as any to ask this question. If a game is on clearance for say, I dunno $14.98 (or whatever it is) and somebody buys it and says that they will sell it on eBay to make some money (maybe to buy a different game) people seem to be up in arms about it saying that they are taking a game off the shelf that somebody else could buy. However, if they buy the same game and say that they are going to trade it for $30, nobody seems to mind.

Whats the difference? They are both taking a game off the shelf to turn a profit.

Sorry if it sounds like a weird question, I was just curious.

Twilight Princess (GC) $24.98 at the Chesterfield Valley store in St. Louis. There were close to 20 copies available : )
 
Targets in the York, PA area don't have a lot of good stuff clearanced, especially the PC titles. NWN2 and the expansion were out of stock, and UT3, CoH, and The Witcher were all regular price.
 
I found the blue

- Harlem Globetrotters DS $4.98

A bunch of large, full body, towels for around $2 - $3 each which was cool because I needed towels that can actually dry me.
 
For the last two weeks, my local Targets (and I've been visiting about 4 of them) have had zero 360 games on clearance. I wonder if it has anything to do with the 10 dollar off coupon. Actually, one Target did have NHL 2008 for 29.98. Like hell, I was gonna pay anything for that.

Well, the Targets by me told me that K&L was accidentally put on the clearance cycle, when it wasn't supposed to be as of yet.

So, it was pulled off clearance and put back to normal price and that was that. So, anyone who managed to get a copy while it was on clearance should consider themselves lucky, since it no longer is. I'm not sure if it was done nationwide or not, but around here(northeastern Pennsylvania)it WAS pulled.

Oh and Zipomatic, in the case of some larger clearance items(like the HD-DVD drives), it'll cost up to $12 or so to ship the items, so if $30 shipped is the price for something like an HD-DVD drive then that's a tolerable amount to make imo.

But, I concur that someone just trying to make $12-15 on a game they paid $10-15 for(or less if they used the $10 off coupon if it's a 360 games) is a bit steep.
 
Kane and Lynch has been on clearance here for the past 3 weeks (VA) not a nationwide change. I check the same Targets every week, and theres still a stack of them and they're regularly dropping.

This is for the PS3 version, I've not seen one 360 version on clearance at all.

Thx(especially on the Thrillville advice), I think I'll give the free game(Cars) a shot after work today. My kids are 10 & 11 & they like to game it up. Definitely with summer & LOTS of free time for them around the corner.

In Richmond, several weeks ago, the Short Pump Target had K&L for $20 on a Friday, the next week they were gone and behind the glass at full price. Last week, Thursday I believe, the Libbie Road Target had a ton of them @ $20. Cashier even told me about a guy who bought 4 the day before. Monday they were back behind the glass. I got lucky and snagged one last week.

I flipped a handful of games for a $15 profit (+ $5 coupon when possible), as it wasn't out of the way, and there were plenty of games available. I left some Orange Box games so gamers can still find a deal, and I made some $ towards future purchases. No harm, no foul.
 
Was at the Target in Williamsville, NY and found a copy of The Bigs for 360 but they marked it up to $20.88. They had a bunch of Greatest Hits PS2 games (mostly Cars and GT4) for $13.98. Not much of a good selection otherwise.

Was hoping to snatch a copy of Lair for $15 I've been hearing about but no luck.

Did pick up Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia Seasons 1 & 2 for $5.44 though (after use of gift card of $16 some odd dollars).
 
Picked up Sonic the Hedgehog for the PS3 today for $4.98 at the Lake Jackson, TX Target. They also had about 5 copies of Virtua Tennis 3 for the PS3 left at $4.98 each.

Karaoke Revolution: American Idol Encore(game and mic) for $14.98. Woman working there said she just marked it down not even 5 minutes ago.
It was $24.98, but luckily had a freshly printed $10 off coupon.
Need to get another one later for a second mic and then trade in the game to Blockbuster.

I picked up Virtua Tennis 3 for 360 last week for $10 (San Dimas, CA).

I just went in today and they only had Forza 2 for $20 and the Arcade games disc for $10. They also had a HP Wireless Notebook mouse for $20...

Picked up the last copies I have seen of NBA 08 PS3 and NCAA MM 08 PS3 in my area (used $5 coupon) .

Also, picked up CoD2 360, Air Force One umd, Jumanji umd, Open Season umd and 1 1600 points card for $11.27 out the door. The 3 umds were $3.76 each (as-is sticker). Used the $5 coupon and 2 $10 off 360 coupons.

Time to return the CoD 2 that I got at BB (pm'd CC).
 
I can confirm The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess gamecube $12.48. My cousin and I each picked up one copy. Sweet deal.:)
