This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Although, depending on how important the game is to you, you may want to make a trip out to Target on monday/tuesday if you see it here and Target's not too far away. Many areas have game hoarders who will pretty much buy the entire stock of good clearance items.
 
Managed to find College Hoops 2k8 360 for $14.98 ($4.98 w/ coupon).

Hoping for another round of clearance games tommorrow since all the Targets in my area are pretty much cleaned out. Mostly PS2, PSP and Xbox games left. Still waiting for a drop to 75% on some guides I am interested in.
 
seems someone has found a copy of heavenly sword for $29.98 on clearance. It was found by someone kind of close (around my area) YMMV.

I was I could find Wario Ware for that price.
 
My store had a stack of 10+ Gamecubes near the game section for $25 a pop. According to the clerk, the clearance should be nationwide.

This is a great deal considering you can now pick up dozens of great used games for $5-10 a piece. It really pays to stay a generation behind ;)

That's kind of annoying because I just recently bought a GameCube controller for $25. Oh well. I'll still probably just use the Wii, I don't need another console laying around the house.

Total came to $13.xx for all 3.
 
This is a great deal but the gamecube is pretty much dead at this point. The funny thing is I actually have a new "backup" gamecube in my closet because I liked the system so much. I would trade it or sell it if I could get anything for it but at this point I don't think I could. The Wii being BC is a good thing though. An amazing price for anyone without one or a Wii.
 
I don't plan on buying a Wii, so this would be a good way for me to at least play Zelda, one of the only Wii titles I'm at all interested in. I also never played through RE4 or Eternal Darkness. I could probably find a Cube and those three games for $70 I would hope.
 
You could buy this, keep the controller for the wii, then sell the system on ebay. Don't know what they're going for there though.
 
Heavenly Sword is being clearanced (29.98), as well as that Baller's game for the PS3. I found Tony Hawk Proving Grounds, Timeshift, and something else for 360 being put on clearance as well.

I'll second that, I saw it for the same price in my local Target just a few days ago.
 
The only thing of interest I saw was Timeshift (360) for 27.98, but I'm still not really willing to pay that, even with the coupon.
 
Forgot to mention it but saturday I found a copy of Naruto at one of the targets in my area. The funny thing is that it was stickered for $29.xx

I was really surprised considering this game had been 75% off at almost all targets last month. I took it anyway and decided to price check it just to see what would happen. When I went to the price checker, it rang up for $0.00. So, I took the clearance sticker off and looked for the newest cashier working. I found her and checked out appropriately.

The system asked her what price was the game supposed to be. She look at the screen confused then looked at me. I smiled and said that the price checker told me it was $0.00. She called a manager and the manager said that the game must have be clearanced out of the system already. He then said "just give it to him for $5.99." I paid her the money and walked out happy.

It's too bad I didn't have the $10 coupon. That would've been ideal.
 
Is there a way to check inventory for this because I haven't seen a GameCube in a Target store for a while. Anyone have luck in San Diego stores?

Hope the Karaoke Revolution American Idol for 360 is clearanced and not just "As Is"... Would love to pick it up at my local target and gonna check for this later today...

Columbia MD Target has 3 clearanced for $24.98...
 
My local store moved all the game clearance stuff from the general clearance rack a few aisles down from the games section to an endcap in the media area. Also, still in the case, saw Heavenly Sword and NBA Ballers for PS3 for $41.98.

i can confirm that timeshift is 19.99 (17.99 w/ %10 off coupon) at GS. just picked it up.

jam sessions was 7.48 where I was... saw a ton of Madden 08s for 9.98, THPG for 19.98, Soldier of Fortune (360) for $30 and a ton of MTV UMDs for roughly 7.48

I checked out the target by me and they had Viva Pinata for $20.98 and GC Twilight Princess for $24.98. I thought clearance was pretty much universal at Target...

Just got back from going to 3 of the 5 targets i normally go to. Ill hit up the other 2 tomorrow to see if theres anything left.

I saw for PS3:

NBA2k8- $29.98
Heavenly Sword- $41.98 (Only one copy and I stashed it to see if it will still be there when it drops to under $20)
ATV Vs MX Unleashed/Untamed (whatever lol)- $41.98

And I think they had a couple of others at the 41.98 starting clearance point. I dont remember.

I did happen to notice a copy of Motorstorm sitting in the glass case and it was under the Burnout Paradise label. I asked for a price check and it came up clearance 14.98. Score. Walked out with that.

Can confirm 34.95 for American Idol - it was at my store this morning. Got it with the $5 coupon and the $10 coupon - so 20 bucks.

Started my day well......:D
