This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Wow, you're calling me/us pathetic when I decided to be nice and not call you out as one of the ones trying to sell the game to me for $30? That's real nice of you.

PayPal fees wouldn't cost you $2, even if you sold it for $30. I'm all for the sellers making a profit but your profit is closer to $10, realistically. Besides, it's all in the "CAG spirit" to sell it for a reasonable price instead of double what you paid.

But whatever, man. You're not even succeeding at rubbing it in my face considering I'm not dying to own this game, anyway.

Where to start, where to start. The attitude is definitely unwarranted, since people come on here for CHEAP deals, not to pay for your living expenses for the month. If it costs you $7-10 to get to the post office and store(s) you're getting these games at or shipping them out from, then you definitely need a better, more gas efficient car or to move closer to these places.

I have never and will never pay over $2-3 over the cost of the game + shipping for ANY game that I can't find myself. If your time is so valuable to you that you want to gouge and charge close to $10 for it, then look elsewhere and don't even bother replying to me.

I also NEVER deal with Paypal, only money orders or CASH money, so the $2 'fee' would never apply to me either.

So yeah, just from that little rant/tirade of yours you've made at least one 'friend' who will NEVER deal with you while you're a member here.

Oh and ummmmm Slick Deals/Fat Wallet is --------------> THAT way, take your profiteering ways to their sites, where you'll be lauded as a hero.

i also find it funny that IAmTheCheapestGamer says I should get a more fuel efficient car if my time + gas to the PO is worth $7, but he's the one who is complaining about a few bucks.

Honestly, I wouldn't call it a $60 game, last I knew GameStop had it under 30 used a week ago or so. Its price is going to drop fast, Sony announced the Greatest Hits crap, I'd guarantee this will be in Wave 2 of the GH line, along with r&c I'm sure.

Actually, if I can't find a deal on a game, I just forgo getting it until I can find it used for cheap. In the case of HS, I bought it this week during the $29.99 used sale @ Gamestop, but I don't like the game so it's going back before Saturday. That's ONE thing good about getting games from an actual store, compared with someone online, is that you're not completely SOL if you end up not liking the game or whatever.

The last time I checked the name of the site was CHEAPassgamer, not 'Give me $10 over the cost of what I paid to ship it out and take your payment' Gamer.

It's fine to wanna make a buck or two, but when it's pushing towards $10 profit, then most will simply say 'no thanks'. Again, SlickDeals/Fat Wallet are --------> that way.

I didn't say Target selling it for $30 "ridiculously overpriced," I said you were charging a "ridiculous selling price" for it. There is a slight difference in meaning. The store selling it for $30 or the original $60 isn't under my control. I don't know how much it costs them to buy the game but I do know how much it cost you and ~50% markup is huge, no matter how you look at it.

And for the record, just because I asked you how much you'd sell it for doesn't mean I particularly cared for it. I just asked you in passing out of curiousity since I saw you had an extra copy. If I really cared so much about the game, I would've bought it for the $30 my Target was selling them for.
 
purbeast isn't the only one...I've had a CAG-er or two try to get me to pay $30+ for a "rare" game that their were lucky enough to find on clearance for a mere $8. Nice...:roll:
Just say you'd rather sell it on ebay for a ridiculous amount rather than try to offer it on your CAG list.

=$7.50

I don't think that's completely unreasonable, if the guy spent an hour of his time helping someone out, he's still only making minimum wage. I would suggest you don't agree, drive around for two hours and try and find one yourself. That's about as honest as I can discuss that one...

He was asking how much VP Lenneth was at CC. So I let him know it was on clearance a while ago for $17 and asked if he found an extra one if he could pick it up for me. He said sure.

Then I read one of his posts saying he found a couple. So I pm'd him to ask about selling me one and he said they were all out. But then he brags about finding two and puts them up on Ebay. I probably would have paid him what he made off Ebay after fees, etc.

This guy is from my area and I have already said something about him taking all 4 copies from the Columbia, MD store (and by the way, there is a PO less than a 1/4 mile from the Target he purchased the HS from).

There was a CAG that I had traded with before that sold the game to me for $19 and that included game + tax, shipping/handling and Paypal fees. Totally appreciate another CAG helping me out. This is crazy that CAG noobs trying to make cash from us.

he can sell it any damn price he wants. Nobody is forcing you to pay it. Few years back I helped someone out only to see them sell it on here for almost double what they payed me, so I'm done hooking people up, unless I know you

wow you conveniently skipped over the part where 3/4 of the copies were going to people (1 to me, 1 to Hothitter who posted in this thread thanking me, and the other to a guy I game with). The 4th copy was for me to maybe trade to people on this forum but there really is no other games I want right now so I decided to get rid of it.

and apparently quite a few people had no problem with the pricing considering I sold it no problem.

let's get this back on topic though, just forget the whole deal with people selling HS. sorry to sidetrack it.
 
Target in Calumet City, il. has 2 copies of atv vs. mx unleashed (ps3) for 14.98 as of last night(7/16/08) in the clearance area.

I grabbed one.

I found a lone copy of Sega Superstar Tennis for PS2 for $9.98. I don't really need it since I have the 360 version, but my darned PS2 collecting addiction compelled me to buy it.
 
Picked up a copy of ATX Untamed or something like that for the PS3 for $14.98. Thinking about flipping it or selling it. Anyone know how much I can get for it at BB, Gamestop, or Game Crazy?
 
Went to the Gamerush in Castleton (north Indy) and found Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life and Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life, both for Gamecube and priced $9.95 each, so $5 a pop. These are probably priced wrong at most stores as Gamecube games don't get traded in or updated much. Anyway, took the A Wonderful Life up to the counter and it turned out to be just an empty case...clerk couldn't find the game. The other game was complete. I doubt I will go back, so if another local CAG wants that game, they might check in later at that store to see if they ever found the disc to go along with the case.

Gamestop TIV is $15, you can get $21.50 for it with Edge and the PS3/360/ Wii promo.

Here's a gaming related item that some CAGs with kids might be interested in. They have their boys' licensed T-shirts on sale this week (just $7 instead of $7.99). They had a Rock Band one and another with Mario characters on it. Unfortunately they were out of the Mario one (just had a picture) but they had plenty of Rock Band ones - my son was thrilled. I need to hit up another Target to see if I can find the Mario one though. Compared to the $15-$25 Nintendo T-shirts at Hot Topic (where they have a poor selection of kid's sizes) these are a steal. Oh, we also got a Wall-E one (and they have Kung-Fu Panda and some others as well).

As for games, my local store finally got around to the $7.48 pricing for Viva Pinata and $9.98 for THPG :roll:. Too little too late ;)

The Hanford Target is pretty much out of clearance games, but if anyone is interested in the Pirates of the Caribbean, Storm Hawks, and Pokemon toys they had marked down to $2.48-$4.98, might want to head over today or tomorrow. Last night my sister returned over $170 worth of the toys (2.5 basketful's).

Long story short, my mom and sister go nearly every day and buy as much as they can to put away as future gifts.

I FINALLY picked up Heavenly Sword for $14.98 at my Target (had it stashed away....haha)

They also had NBA Ballers: Chosen One for $14.98 (PS3), but I passed on it. That was about it though. Soldier of Fortune Payback for $15 also....but I passed. Turning Point for $7.50 also for the PC. That was it for games though....MX vs ATV was gone....dang.
 
Walking around my local Target when I decided to look at their clearance section. It's usually less than spectacular, but not today! Picked up the last copy of Heavenly Sword for $14.98 Super Sweet FTW!!!!
 
I went to 2 different Targets by my hoping like crazy to find Heavenly Sword but to no avail. Congrats on finding that to whoever that did. I still want to pick it up if I can find it cheap someday.

It didn't used to be that way. Years ago they used to have all clearance games in the case and many times they weren't tagged so it was easy to get tons of awesome deals (Time Crisis 2 with Guncon for $7.48 for example). Unfortunately, it is a lot more difficult to get deals. The good stuff rarely makes it past 30% off anymore in my area.

In my area, it's the reverse. The last 2 months Target and TRU have been a gold mine for clearance games. I have never picked up a clearance game at Kmart or Sears. I've recently seen more clearance games at Kmart but not the good finds that are posted in the Kmart clearance thread.

I found Genji PS3 at Kmart for $15 a couple of weeks ago. :roll: I had already bought it at Target for $7.48.
