This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

I'm impressed with the quality , then again it is Nintendo hardware .

I was suprised to see it in the case all by itself , and I just knew it wasnt the full $79.99 it was marked .

Most likely a stockroom diamond in the rough .

Actually stumbled across the clearance section at my Target today. It's weird because they have the video game areas, and then the budget game aisle immediately after. The clearance endcap was several aisles down to the back of the store. I'm amazed that anyone would know to look for it without asking/inadvertently finding it.

Nothing amazing saw Ballerz, Heavenly Sword, MX vs ATV and Virtua Tennis 3 for PS3. Everything was $30 except for VT3 which I had to think long and hard about since I've already owned and traded it. I passed, but all these titles are available at the North Olmsted, OH target.

Saw the game guides there as well... mostly sports games and nothing that peaked my interest so I didn't even bother taking note or price checking them.

The Target in Signal Hill, CA (33rd / Atlantic, right off the 405), has a few copies of the Karaoke American Idol Bundle for 24.98, and they let me use the $10 coupon no problem, so I got it for just under 15 bucks woohoo They also had a few copies of TimeShift for 360 (29.98 i think), and an assload of reg. edition Tony Hawk proving grounds for 19.98 (before coupon) Also, a few copies of Picross DS for 9.98, which is an INCREDIBLE game that will keep you busy for hours They had some other assorted junk, but nothing special. Has anyone seen Lair or Ninja Gaiden Sigma in the LA market?

Im starting to think at least one of the Targets by me doesnt do Clearance on Mondays... I was there on Monday and they didnt have much of anything new that I noticed... stopped there today for something and decided to check it out and they had AI: KR, a couple of Timeshifts, and a few other random games that werent there before.

If I ask a manager (doubt any employee would know for sure), would he tell me when that store does clearance in electronics? Or is that something they wont tell you for some reason.

My target said they do it Fridays and Saturdays.

I went a Target i don't usually go to, thatwhen i do they are behind of the clearance curve. Saw some guides for like NCAA Football 08(?) and Need for Speed Prostreet and 2 others than were half price. They also had some PS3 games, including Orange Box for $15. I would have picked it up but brokenness factor, plus MGS4LE factor, plus my general dislike of FP games, plus I was kind of interested in Portal and already bought than on the PC meant I didn't get it. Aside from that, nothing much on the gaming side of things. Thought there was a bunch of food at 15% off or whatever food starts at. I got some of those Hickory Farms sausages.... Mmmm-hmm!

At my Target in Dover, NJ, the Guitar Hero 1 & 2 Dual Pack is still full price. Guitar Hero II (game only) has dipped to 19.98, Boogie for PS2 (bundle w/mic) is ringing up 7.48 and Zelda: TP is still in the 20$ range. However, I'll keep my eyes open for that Dual Pack to dip in price.

Yep, the game will still get marked down, since the price drops happen on the product database, the price tag just won't reflect the drop, but the price scanners will.

Yea, since last week and this week have a decent amount of releases we should see some PS3/360 games clearanced to open up some shelf space. I'll be heading out after lunch and report back if I find anything.

Big clearance sign for $9.98 each.

I walked back to Electronics on my lunch break and picked up Tomb Raider Anniversary for the PS2 for $7.48. I noticed it was listed as "RTV PS2" on the register.

I've seen these on Clearance from time to time and never seen them go past 30% off. I think they either send them back or sell them to Goodwill.

Also I've heard that using a dyson can void your carpet warranty. Not sure if it's true or not, but i've heard this repeated a few times.
