This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

did any Target drop their clearance prices today? labor day? nothing dropped at my local shop.
 
Dragonball Z Burst Limit was 41 dollars clearanced at the Targets I saw tonight along with The Beijing Olympics game...

Seems like there is a new round of clearance items....

Wow, I hate the Target's in my area. I checked on the pink wireless controller for my wife at both of them and they both checked at 49.99

no, but it's possible that your store has yet to clearance the item. i have that same problem. every target in the la county / orange county areas that i've been to (and i've been to a hell of a lot) don't have any of the ds games clearanced.

ninja gaiden ds, both pokemons, cooking mama 2, drawn to life, etc. are all still regular price. i've gone on multiple occasions to the same stores too to have the workers scan them for a price check to see if they've been clearanced or not, all to no avail for the entire month of august.
 
Saw Viking: Battle for Asgard for $19.98 today. Based on the reviews I will wait and see if it goes to $10. I don't think they sold any when it dropped to $27.98
 
Denton, TX target has Kane & Lynch for $9.99 (PS3). They had like 5 or so. I almost bought one, but after reading the reviews I changed my mind at the last second (literally).

Just returned from there...... and I actually bought one. There were only two copies left after I bought one..... maybe somebody grabbed some in between. I remember reading the reviews when it came out, but for $10 I still thought 'what the hell, why not?'. They had some other stuff, but nothing at the 75% off point yet.

Checked a Target. I saw they have Scene it 360 Clearanced for $41.XX.

lost odyssey was clearanced as well as other has reported and so was bourne for the PS3 for $44.XX I believe.

Kane and Lynch STILL hasn't dropped to $10 dollars. ARGH
 
Target here in Fresno had Kane & Lynch (PS3) for $9.98. Anyone know what the trade value is on this at Gamestop? Also saw Grid (360) reached clearance. It was at $40-sumthing dollars...

Don't know how recent it is, but the GS promo thread had it listed at $10 for the 360 version. I'd guess that's right for PS3, or maybe $8 by now.
 
Yeah, new games on the clearance rack, but the prices sure don't seem clearance to me. Grid, NBA Live 08, Bourne Conspiracy, Skate and Scene It all priced at a whopping $41.98.

i bought it for my 360 and played it co op split screen and it was a lot of fun i would deff buy it for ten bucks. its not the best game but worth the money

Kane & Lynch trade value as of TODAY is $7.50. And yes...K&L is pretty fun and the story is one of the better game stories. Controls are a little odd, but it isn't nearly the turd some claimed it to be.
 
I saw the 20GB 360 HD for $69.98 at the Super Target in Fitchburg, WI.

Madden 08 for the PS3 was $7.48
Bourne Conspiracy (PS3) for $41.98

Picked up Dark Sector for the PS3 for $9.98
 
another week with the same prices @ 27.98, 24.98 & 20.98 and the new ones @ 41.98... on the positive side i did find a 2gb Polaroid usb drive for $5.74... always helpful to have these around
 
I picked up Lost Odyssey for $40.90 total with taxes (with 10% employee discount).

I remember seeing this game at my Target going for $60 last week. I got lucky cause I nabbed the last one as I punched out of the clock today. Very happy since I heard this is the best JRPG on 360.

I am also gonna buy Viva Pinata:Trouble In Paradise for $40 at my local Ebgames today. I now have Castle Crashers, Lost Odyssey and Viva Pinata:TiP to play till my next games coming in October - Fallout 3 & Fable 2. Sweet!

I don't think they PM clearance prices. More than likely you'll have to return it and pick up the game again at the reduced clearance price.

It depends, K-mart says no price adjusting on clearance items that are bought but I've done it every time. If they won't adjust, just say you'd like to return and rebuy.

They may not put it back on the shelf right away for you to rebuy. They aren't required to do so and you will have no backing on it like you would if they had a PM policy on clearance items.

It's definitely a YMMV.

If you want a decent deal on either Viking or Darkness right now, you can get Viking for 12 used @ GS and Darkness for 8.
 
Well, back from a target I didn't realize was nearby me, got Nights for $7.48 (Last one I saw), and Metriod Prime 3 for $12.48 (One other copy at the store, but it was priced wrong at $25)

Also, scanned a few things, nothing great. God of War 1 GH was $14, Bubble Bobble Double shoot was $15, MMX for the PSP was still $15 (I can pirate the game, I will not pay more then $10 for it D: ), and Lost odyssey for the 360 was somewhere in the $40's

Also, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fate was marked at $17, but rang up at $20
 
while one of my local targets, i found warhammer 40,000 dawn of war: soulstorm for 20.98

i'll probably jump on that once it gets to $15 or less.

This is very risky.

First off, Target doesn't PM prices. Not even their own (other stores).

So your only option is a return and rebuy.

There's a chance on return that they will open the sealed version to make sure that the game is actually in there, and then they will send it back as salvage, thus it will never go back out on the floor.

If they do put it back on the floor, this could take a while. As long as a couple of days depending on the store... so there's no guarantee that you're going to be able to get it again.

With target I always make sure to pick up a copy at the highest I'm willing to pay. Then if it drops later, I'll buy a copy at the lower price, and return the one I purchased at a higher price.

This is contrary to their policy. In fact I just returned tonight Advance Wars DOR and Drawn to Life. Both returned for $20.98 however are available for purchase at $14.98.

I ended up getting them at GS with the coupon a few weeks ago since I'd rather use cheap credit than real $

This is only if you don't have the receipt and didn't purchase it with something that they can use receipt look up (check, credit, or debit).
 
That is the policy for seasonal items though. So if you buy Halloween stuff at 75% off and it goes to 90% off the next day and you return it then even with a receipt, you only get the 90% off price back.

... I stopped by the Denton, TX Target around 9:30 this morning and got one of the PS3 Kane/Lynch's for $9.99. Also got Condemed 2 (Xbox 360) from the glass case for $19.99.

They also had two Nights (wii) for $27.00, will try to get later if it drops more.
 
Here's to hoping Grid drops to the 20s sometime soon. I'm a huge DiRT fan and liked the demo of Grid, but not enough to pay full price for the game.

By the way, is anyone finding copies of Kane and Lynch for the 360? I've hit 5 Targets in Central IL and can't find it anymore... except for 1 copy at my local Target which is still $27.98. I might be having some business in Indiana on Friday, so there is the possibility of an additional hit.
 
Did all Target stores start leaving clearance games behind the glass? Use to they would be sitting out and I could take them to a scanner but now they are all locked up with red tags. This sucks because I feel like a jackass asking them to take them out and scan for the price... :(

This has never happened to me before. Whenever I return a clearance item, I always get back what I originally paid for it. Even if the price has dropped or if the item is no longer in the system. I believe the policy is specifically for any seasonal items, i.e. Christmas, Halloween, Easter, etc.

Just write the DPCI # down and use the numbers on the side of the scanners to check the price. You can also print out the barcode using the links in the OP.

No price drops in the Targets that I have checked. All the copies of Bioshock were sold at $19.98. :cry: MP3, Bully, K&L and UT3 still holding at 50%. EoJ is at 30% off with only 1 tagged with a clearance sticker. The rest (5 or 6) are untagged on the shelf. :)
 
Stopped by one Target today. No real new drops on games thsi week. Saw a few interesting items though:

Jabra Bluetooth Receiver for $29 (orig. $59). It looked like a garage door opener but apparently would pair to your phone and act as a speaker phone.

They also had a Bose Home Entertainment System for $700 (originally $1000)

And of course a few more Logitech Rumblepad PC controllers for $19.98
