This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

I'm near the Richmond area as well, admittedly I haven't been to a Target in a while but last time I was there they didn't even have any video games in their clearance section

The SKU on the bottom of the box is not in the system. There should be a sticker on the front or back face of the box that has the bars Target uses. It's weird.

The Landess Target has 10 or so Lost Odysseys at 41.xx price mark. If anyone is wanting Condemned 2 for the 360, it is 9.99 there (3 to 4 copies). And one Eye of Judgment at 37.xx in the glass shelf.

There were a few more but they were all at 41.xx (the price drops for this store is really slow).

The price changes are sent from the HQ in Minnesota. At best, this clerk was making a guess. At worst, he was trying to keep you away for 3 weeks.

Items can take a dip to 90% off but its quite rare and at the discretion of the store's Price Change Team Leader. If they think the item will sell at a lower price they may mark it down, if not it will be salvaged. At this point, the PCTL is setting the price, not the TGT HQ.

Went to my regular & 'out of the way' Targets yesterday; very disappointing. The one location had several copies of Oblivion, CoD3, Transformers, Pirates, etc (though some got pushed to GH status) before, but they're all gone now. Weird.

Lost Odyssey was $30, so I passed for now. I grabbed a GH version of God of War for $10, which was a decent price since I still needed this one.

Madden CE for PS3 was $62. Beijing was at $25, and DBZ: Burst Limit was $30, iirc.

Target clearance is YMMV(your mileage may vary) so if the price rings up for more than what people are reporting you are SOL for now.

Someone grabbed the 20 gig HD for the 360 from my Target. It was $24.98, but I have an Elite, so I didn't care. They have Viking @ $19.99 & The Club @ $24.98. Holding out for another drop. Also saw the GTA4 limited edition (also 360) for $62.98. If that hit's 50% off (around $45) I am going to snag it, otherwise I'll wait.
