This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Also there were 2 clearance dvds on the shelf that I picked up, don't know if they were supposed to be there or if they have a separate section for clearance dvds. They were just thrown on the shelf.

Does anyone know if they moved the Scene Its for 360? There was 10+ copies last week at both of my local Targets for $40 last week. They were behind the glass in the 360 section but now they are gone. I looked around the electronics section but couldnt find any. Maybe they were sent away? I doubt they sold over 20 copies for $40 each.

I agree entirely. I really don't understand where everyone gets this impression that every employee at a retail store is some slick eBay hoarder. And if they are, don't you think they already have their store cleaned out of anything good? Hell, if I worked at a Target or whatever and was big into flipping stuff, I would be completely on top of all the deals. It's an extremely small sample, but the few times I have called ahead asking about some good clearance deal at a retail store, I have never gotten there and found it gone.

Also there were 2 clearance dvds on the shelf that I picked up, don't know if they were supposed to be there or if they have a separate section for clearance dvds. They were just thrown on the shelf.

Does anyone know if they moved the Scene Its for 360? There was 10+ copies last week at both of my local Targets for $40 last week. They were behind the glass in the 360 section but now they are gone. I looked around the electronics section but couldnt find any. Maybe they were sent away? Bad luck in my area this week. Nothing dropped except the single copy of Popcap arcade for $5 ;-;

Not only that, Bioshock was unclearnced (Nights too, but I already picked up a copy for $7.48)

Though luckily God of War and FFXII are still left in such huge bulks. 17 copies of FFXII at one store, and and 10+ thoughout all the stores close by for God of War.

From my experiences the movies are "As-Is" and very very YMMV. At the Targets in my area they have 2 HD DVDs at one and 2 Blu-Rays and 2 Regular at the Other.

BTW the movies were Chuck and Larry and Bourne Supremecy for HD DVD and Underdog and Die Hard with Vengeance for Blu-Ray and the Radio DJ Movie (I think) with Don Cheadle.


Eitherway I would not go rush out to find the movies.

Got Scene It (360) for $14.98 and International Track and Field (DS) for $20.98 at the Mentor, OH Target. I snagged the last copy of Track and Field. There were at least a dozen Scene It games on an endcap across from the PS2 games.

The Mayfield Hts., OH Target had 2 copies of Scene It this afternoon, but at $29.98. University Hts. and Willoughby are both out of Scene It.

I asked a Target employee about the price drops, I was told if within 40 days it drops you can get the new price. I don't know how many times you can get a price adjustment though, since Target prices seem to drop a couple of times within weeks.

You might have to return it and re-buy it again. If there isn't anymore K&Ls in stock just let them know. My sister bought 2 DS Lites last xmas, a week later Target offered gift cards with a DS Lite purchase. Unfortunately there were no more left in stock, so an employee at the returns dept just had her return it there and rang her up again with the gift cards.

They might but they might not. They might give you a cash difference or they might give you it on a gift card. They might say you have to return it and buy it again when they put it back on the shelf.

No go in Phillispburg, NJ on the latest drops. People bought all the copies of Grid, but it still scans $29.98. Same with Lost Odyssey and Scene It. I only spied one of Lost Odyssey and about 5 of Scene It.

Kingdom Under Fire was marked down to 9.98, so I guess they just mark down the ones they don't think are going to sell? Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it.

Target has a 90 day return policy if the game is unopened.

They will not match a clearance markdown but you can always return and re-buy if it's still on the shelf. Thye generally won't let you just rebuy the game you returned (unless you get a really cool bored teenager, steer clear of the older ladies at the returns counter they are all a bunch of hardasses).

Scene It snagged at $14.98 at earlier mentioned Merrillville store. At first, it appeared that there were only 3 left. Then I looked at the shelf below it and saw 3/4ths of the bottom shelf stocked with them.

So NW Indiana CAGs, I'd venture to say there's about 10 of the $14.98 Scene It's at that store. Go pick 'em up!

Off topic but a lot of computer accessories are on clearance now too. Along with the Logitec controllers and portable hard drives that were clearanced a couple of weeks ago, I saw some laptop cases, keyboards, and a bunch of different mouses on clearance this week.

Yeah for clearance items I find it most teenage working girls do not care about returns and repurchases, did this on a few occasions and it worked. Several other people refused me.

If you really want to get it cheap just wait till the 75% off happens check the DCPI number on their system. Go in at night when the store is about to close do your return and it should be on the sales floor the next morning.

No. Our EOJs (at least in the Taylors location) have for some reason been placed back in section stickered at full price. However they still scan as being on clearance but it's $3X.98 or something. Too expensive. I'd pick it up for 17.48 but only for the camera. I don't care about the game.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I'll bite for $15, and even there I'm a bit hesitant. If I didn't know they'd be gone a few days after that drop, I would wait for another price drop. I'm already heavily invested in Tales of Vesperia, so I'm in no rush to grab another JRPG.

Tried that, got told 49.99 was the last known price. -_- I told him that if it was OOS, it should have gone through the clearance rounds first, and as such 90% off was the price it should be. He said no, last price was 49.99 and even though its OOS, thats what he could sell it to me at.

Told him to keep it, not paying 50$ for a nearly 2 year old game. He kinda looked at me like "Oh, that makes sense..." epipheny, as i walked out.

In related news, my target had Nights, but at 20, im passing and had Vikings at 9$, Unreal 19$, Madden CE 62$?, and alone in the dark, 12$ (PC), There was also a lost odessey in the casew for 42, but at that price, it can stay there

I hid the items I could, lets see if they last till this coming monday and hit 90% (crosses fingers)
