This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy. If you try be sure to bring a smile and a lollipop.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

True, but again all clearanced items at Target are YMMV, at least by way of pricing. I mean some people still see GRID for $41, while others have nabbed it for $15...

Why not go the extra mile and mention specific Targets.

I agree. Since the price drops tend to be universal, I use this thread as a reference only. There are what, like 2000 target stores in the US, so the chance that someone is going to to reference a store that is actually helpful to me is pretty small. What a surprise! Folks don't really have the appetite for a $90 game these days....

Actually, after a product receives its "final markdown" its given a period of time to sell (usually 2-4 weeks) and if it still doesn't sell its sold in bulk to places like the Salvation Army or any number of retailers that specialize in closeout merchandise. If those things you mentioned were already priced at 75% off of regular price there's a good chance that's what happened. Items only receive 3 markdowns before they go salvage, seasonal merchandise is a little bit different though.
 
Sigh went to two today, nothing really.

All the GTA IV SE's for 360 were gone, I saw one Scene it, Condemned 2 for 360 was gone as well. Also Bourne Conspiracy and DBZ Burst Limit hadn't seen a price drop yet.

But I did see Battle of the Bands for $7 as well as Alone in the Dark for PC.
That was at the Kennewick, WA target

I put my location in my avatar so everyone knows where I find most of my deals...and Zodiac and I live about 40 miles apart which saves us time and gas knowing what the other has locally. You would be surprised how many caggers you have around you.
 
One GTA IV SE for $22.xx left at the Cranberry Twp, PA Target. Lots of Scene It for $15 too. I saw a bunch of Wii games for $7, Ninja Reflex, Battle of the Bands too.

Also, what is the deal with the Harmony remote? I saw a couple for $49.xx. Are they worth it for that price and if so, why? Figure some CAGs have the scoop on 'em. Thanks!

At that price, I'd pick up an external HD if I could find it at my location. It'd give me something to put my music on.

Saw some things I would be interested in, but they still aren't marked down far enough at my store. They had a ton of Unreal 3 copies at $20 and one Harmony remote still at $70.

A Harmony Remote is a programmable remote that you can hook up to the PC and always get the latest codes. If you are using a different remote for TV, Surround Sound, Cable/Satellite, Blue Ray and Whatever you can program this to work them all. The Harmony 520 is a few years old but was $99.99 a couple of weeks ago. Easy to program and you can set it up for one touch control. example: You come home hit one button and it will turn on the TV, Surround Sound and tune to channel 206.
 
My target doesent seem to have anything im looking for. Any one got a copy of heavenly sword or unreal tounament for ps3 that they picked up on clearence and want to get rid of? :lol:
 
Decent Drops today:

All the PC stuff dropped as described by other but i passed on it. They did move this back to a previously used clearance endcap.

Nothing new for console game drops at my store except:

The GTA4 Special Edition (Xbox 360) dropped to $22.48 so I grabbed the only 2 they had (1 for me and 1 for a fellow CAG who cannot locate one if interested. PM me.)

The clearance endcap had been wiped clean though. Frontlines and Dragonball Z behind the glass for $41.98 and $29.99 and MLB The Show was $41.98. Looked all over for other items that were on there but could not find any. Was really hoping to find one of the portable external drives though.


EDIT: That was fast. Sorry the extra GTA 4 SE is gone. I will try to get another one at another Target in my area tomorrow.

I read through a good bit of the posts and I'm still a little confused...

1) I saw something about Monday's. Do these sells only occur on Monday's, or is this just a common time for when they start?

2) How do you know whats on sale? Do they have a clearance isle or shelf or something? I read something about scanning your own bar codes, but how do I know which ones to print out?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone's target have Frontline: Fuel of War 360 still tagged at $41.XX? I mean this game was tagged months ago and still has not dropped
 
Royal Palm Beach , Florida store didn't have a whole lot. Got a bunch of copies of FFXII , a bunch of copies of God of War (didn't notice the price for either of these) and a few copies of :360:NBA 2K8 for $15. Not much else other than some ferrari game for the PS2 for $20 , a bunch of :360:Frontlines for $40 and a bunch of :360:Burst Limits for $25.

Got a couple DPCI numbers for the master list though.

Also FYI Friend of Sonic , it's kinda hard to notice the DPCI numbers in the master list since they are not listed in fuschia as you mention. Just saying , sorry if this has already been mentioned , I haven't been keeping up with the thread.

Edit:Apperently CAG doesn't like fuschia. Cause I posted that with the VB color header and it didn't show up. Maybe you need another color?

Edit 2:It shows up but its very hard to notice.

I asked the same question about a page or two back. It seems like it hasn't dropped at any Target anywhere. We have no idea why...
 
It all depends on the sale of the game if a lot of copies are being sold at $41 they will keep it at that price until the overall quantity of that district stays at the same number for a while. Clearance depends upon distinct to district usually; hence YMMV. Also there are around 6-7 digital camreas on clearance as well at my store. As well as some digital video cameras, Sony GC1 is one that I remember off my head.
 
Found the Club for the 360 for $6.24 today. Just got it for trade-fodder. What's this game getting at EB now? It's not on the wiki and they're closed now (no, I do not have any sort of patience :) ).
 
One other thing I forgot to mention , I think Drawn to Life needs to be taken off the clearance list (or at list given a note). I noticed that along with the newly released Drawn to Life Spongebob Edition , that they had next to it the original for full price ($30). Perhaps they reprinted it in hopes of selling some along with the new one?
 
Well, I hope a CAG of some kind hit my Target. Cause if it was hoarders or soccer moms I'd be pissed. Why? Not two weeks ago, the little clearance section was very full of games. I posted what was there and then there was a lot less....now?

Ravaged, Ransacked, Raped. There was near nothing left. GTA SE's? From 4 to zero. Lost Odyssey? Gone. Hell...let's just say what was left.

Yeah, I saw this at the Murfreesboro, TN store too. I called my nephew who I'm sure will try one or two out - or modify them himself. Good for just practice.
 
Valparaiso Target didn't get to new drops when I got there this morning, so I'll check back tomorrow.

Merrillville Target had some very interesting drops and yet another move to a new endcap for clearance games. Also, one half of the XBOX 360 case has been gutted and is completely empty. Lots of games missing from that end such as Battlefield: Bad Company, Too Human and Ninja Gaiden II. I know I had seen these games with plenty of copies last week. I have no idea what's up with that.

Man, I wanted a couple of those chargers. My 4 nearest stores each had 5+ of them Saturday, and they were all gone today by 4pm. :cry: I managed to get one Kodak Digital Camera Support Set (056040922) for $7.48, which included a charger and 4 AA NiMH batteries, a mini tripod, and lens cleaning kit. All I really wanted was the charging set.

I also got GTA IV SE for $22.48, plus:

I'm not sure if I'm going to keep the DVD player, but I probably will for that price.

Today I grabbed skate for ps3, major league baseball 2k8 for ps3, puzzle quest for pc, and guild wars factions for pc. All in all it was a great clearance day for me!

Checked all of my Targets and none of them have dropped. I have been waiting for DBZ to drop to $15 ever since it dropped originally weeks back.

Nothing dropped however. GTA is still at 44xx DBZ is at 30xx as well as others but those are my two main ones.

As far as PC games go, every version of Guild Wars is still at full price, I havent seen a single drop. Also that the UPCs for the GOtY isnt in their system they have a sticker over the barcode of their own.

That really got me mad, I was really excited when I saw them at multiple stores...

Also every Target I have been to in the past few days has COD4 scanning back at 49xx
 
Hit the Target early today and got a few sweet deals.

Nabbed the Kodak Ni-Mh Charger (1 hour with 4 AA's) at 6$, got both of them. They also had packs of AA's NiMh for 2 bucks a piece, so I nabbed 4 or five of those. I have about 16 charged AA's for all my damn Wii-motes and 360 related gear ready to go at any time...plus, kids toys.

Found a nice 7 Inch Digital Picture frame at 22$, and it's a nice one. I saw the Diego/Dora one but it had limited memory, this sucker has a gig internal with several frame options. If you can find it, get it. DCPI is - 056-13-0707. It comes with a gifting package as well, in case you want to hold onto it for Christmas or something. :p

Otherwise the freakin games STILL have not dropped, not the GTA SE nor Lost Odyssey. One local did drop LO but it sold out, oddly enough. Good time to get electronics right now. Gonna hit a few new Targets tommorow, want to find that 10 inch DVD portable, and maybe some new headphones.
 
Woah. I think there's a horder in my area. Went to 2 Targets after work (including the one I hit up this morning) to try to find either the $30 320GB drive, or at least another of the 160s to exchange mine that looks like it's falling out of the packaging, and almost all of the clearance stuff was GONE from this morning-- 10+ external HDs, all of the good games, some guitar stuff, a ton of the NiMH battery packs, etc.

The fact this all disappeared in barely 8 hours make me think one person came and bought it all, I've never seen stuff move that fast out of these Targets.

Nothing special at San Jose Marketplace location. Everything is still 2x or 3x the lowest posted on here. Saw 4 Warhawk bundles for new low price of $29.99 so may get that. Need to think about it still.
 
I think some Targets just moved clearance inventory to another store, or to Goodwill again. Like reported by a few others here, EVERY single clearance game was gone overnight from two nearby Targets, even the crappy games still in the $42 range and all sports titles...or maybe they moved stuff to the back to reprice it.

Scanned NiGHTS (Wii) and Kung Fu Panda (360) at two Targets and they were at $14.99 and $49.99 respectively, so not sure if those went back to full price. I did see Sega Bass Fishing (Wii) and House of the Dead 2 & 3 (Wii) on clearance, but not cheap enough yet.

If your talking about the one on Barrington road its always like that. Feast or famine. They will toss more out i there in about a month or so.

Does this not show up? It seems like your post was speaking of a problem of a technical nature. Does it show up as it shows in the screenshot and the issue is that the color isn't the best selection? Same questions to everyone else. I'm curious if this is a problem. Please let me know if anyone is having an issue with the color displaying properly.

After spending 3 hours searching I would hope for more stuff in my haul then that, I think that would be about the point where I would start buying all those guitar items,kodak stuff and copies of Unreal for 19.99 just to justify the trip.
 
Damn... I really need to find one of those 320 GB Hard Drives... All I got was the last lousy GTA IV SE pack yesterday.
