This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy. If you try be sure to bring a smile and a lollipop.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

People worried where stock is going on a Monday need to remember that Target gets a TON of foot traffic on weekends. All it takes is a dozen people to decide the games are cheap enough for their kids to clean out what is there. This effect is multiplied once items start hitting 50%, as the deals start to look even better for most people. Finally, this weekend might of been worse because Target had an (apparently) fairly well known electronics clearance going on that brought out a lot of the deal hunters.

Picked up Skate (ps3) for $9.98 - saw a bunch of Wii games mentioned previously all at the $21 mark - debated on No More Heroes, but figured I'll wait to see if it drops mroe(harmarville pa)
All right, this is the color that I see (in the master list, and in this screenshot example, your post)

Does this not show up? It seems like your post was speaking of a problem of a technical nature. Does it show up as it shows in the screenshot and the issue is that the color isn't the best selection? Same questions to everyone else. I'm curious if this is a problem. Please let me know if anyone is having an issue with the color displaying properly.

Also, thanks to everyone thanking me. Your appreciation is appreciated. Also, thanks to everyone grabbing DPCI numbers. I may have to go out and do field work for some of these DPCI numbers though. Nearly all of today's drops aren't listed on the Target site, and I can't get a DPCI via the ASIN search.
That's why I had the two "edits". When I was originally making the post I put fuschia in the fuschia tags , but when I previewed the post it didn't show up in color. Hence the first edit about how I thought maybe CAG just didn't like the color fuschia. Then when I went to preview the post again , THEN it showed up in color. Hence edit two , where although the color does appear (like in the screen cap you showed) it is hard to see.

As far as the master list is concerned , it doesn't seem like it's showing up at all. If it is I can't even tell the difference. No offense is intended towards you. I think your doing a great job with this. I just was pointing out something that seems like an error.

On a related note , fuschia comes up as a spelling error in firefox , but fuchsia doesn't.

Edit: Did the same thing again. First preview , fuschia didn't show. Second preview it showed up.

I may just jump on LO for $30 when I go to Target today. I'm afraid by the time I go back (whenever that may be), it'll be gone.

I totally agree. I saw Grid for $29.99, and was patiently waiting for the $14.99 drop. I checked a few days ago, and all copies are now gone.
There're many copies of Scene it, still at $44.99, so I'm hoping the higher price will keep away the hounds until a much deeper drop.

I did find the 'Sing' bundles for ps2 for $24.99, and quickly snatched one for the wife. I could wait and hope, but as I brought it to the register, the cashier mentioned about grabbing it at that price for herself before they disappear.

didn't see any wortwhile games yesterday, but they had one of those GameGrafx wall stickers for $10.98 and I snagged a 320 gb usb 2.0 external hard drive for $24.98

Any place in particular you guys are finding the external harddrive? Is it lumped in with the games or in a particular corner of the electronics department?

I didn't take any offense at all. I just wanted to see if there was an issue with the color. I'm gonna try out yellow. Yellow brightens everyone's day!
Decent haul this morning. Got one of the Diego/Dora pic frames (couldn't find the superior one) a Logitech Attack 3 joystick for 4.98, the Logitech Rumblepad for 9.98, Kabooki for the Wii for 4.98 which luckily wasn't marked in the case, Battle of the Bands for 7.48, God of War for PS2 for 4.98 and Guild Wars: Factions for 7.48. There's extras of the pic frame, joystick, Rumblepad, Kabooki, and one unmarked Lost Odysse for 14.98-- this is the store at Power and Ray in Gilbert, AZ.
EDIT: Got the yellow running. Please let me know if this shows up for everyone. I don't doubt it shouldn't, but maybed I missed an "l" in yellow.
Also, please tell me if the green and red doesn't show up for anyone.

I would like to know as well. I have never seen a hard drive on clearance, but I might not be looking in the right place.

I've seen them but they have been in different places for different stores. Sometimes on the endcaps, sometimes still on their shelf spot.

It wouldn't be a waste of time to actually look around at the rest of the store. You'd be surprised what you can find for cheap, seems like a lot of people just have tunnel vision on the games.

Indeed. I think we sometimes forget that not everyone is as cheap as us. Most people see a game at $30, and that's an awesome deal to them.

Report from the Valparaiso, IN Target:

Snagged:
:360: Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit - $14.98
:wii: Battle of the Bands - $7.48 (last copy)

Seen:
:ps3: Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit - $29.98
:360: Scene It - $29.98
:360: Lost Odyssey - $29.98
:360: GRID - $29.98
:360: NBA Live 08 - $14.98
:wii: Nitro Bike - $12.48

Couple of notes to be made here. There are still four or five of the 360 Burst Limits left, two of the PS3. Two Scene It bundles left. There is only one copy left of: Lost Odyssey, GRID, NBA Live 08 and Nitro Bike. All of them are out of the case and in the clearance endcap at the end of the value section.

Was really waiting out that 75% drop on DBZ. It had to have happened either late last night or early this morning, as they were still tagged at $29.98 yesterday.

Grabbed a couple of the Kodak kits for $7.48 because they each include four 1800 mAh AA's. Also I can confirm Battle of the Bands (Wii) $7.48 - I grabbed a few because it's a really fun game and they'll make good gifts. I was surprised after playing it that it was generally ignored/disliked while Samba de Amigo (which is essentially the same game) gets so much attention. Anyway, for $7.48, I highly recommend Battle of the Bands to anyone on the fence about Samba for $50.
I've never gotten clearance games at target before, but I have a question, are the clearance prices when scanned, or are all clearances YMMV?

I ask, because my circuit city never changes the price stickers on their clearance games. So normally, when something goes on clearance, it's still carrying it's normal price tag on it, but rings up at the new price. I'm pretty just wondering the same thing and seeing if my local target employees are as lazy as the circuity city ones.
All Target Clearance is YMMV.

Most stores will either PHYSICALLY scan and clearance their items either each Monday or Friday of the week. However one week a game can be clearanced, but the other it will not and stay the same price, it just depends on the store.

Also some games can be found on the endcaps or in their designated glass cases.
nabbed GTAIV SE for $22.98... time to trade in my old copy. Should be able to get at least that, even used.
I doubt it. I tried trading it in at Gamecrazy and EB who were looking to give me $16...

That's not too bad since they are selling it for $40 used. If they were selling it for $54.99 then I would say that is a little ridiculous.

Also, I saw Alone in the Dark (PC) for $7.48

Are you kidding me!? They are essentially adding an almost 60% markup from the price they purchase it from you. You'd be better off selling it locally via Craigslist or eBay.

I just bought GTA IV at radio shack for $44.99. I just threw away the receipt and when I was in Target last night, I saw the SE for $22. Coulld I return the unopened copy I have to Wal-Mart or something?

if you used a credit card then they can probably look it up for you. if not you would probably have to take it back to walmart

Did you buy with a credit/debit card, or did you use cash? Many stores can take a return without a receipt if you used a card to buy it. I know for sure Target does, for instance, as I've done it before. Radio Shack I'm not sure about, I don't really shop there.

Well, I just called Radio Shack and they said they could only give me a gift card. I haven't bought anything at Radio Shack ever. That's out!

Target in North Richlands Hills, TX didn't have much. They had 1 copy of Bourne Conspiracy left at $14.98 (already bought 2 copies so I passed) and 2 copies of UT3 still at $19.98. They also had a lot of Wii games for $20.98. Didn't see any clearance external hard drives which was another thing I was looking for.

Northern Oklahoma

Wintersports, backyard football, return of the house of the dead 2/3, no more heroes on wii all at 20.98

Bourne for 14.98
Loads of PS3 remotes a 34.98 (I wouldnt mind sixaxis only remotes for 75% off)
Eye of Judgment 24.98

I saw about 8 of those Dora/Diego picture frames for 18.xx. I should have picked one up.

They apparently removed all hard drives, rechargable batteries, music equipment.
I did see the Nintendo Character wall scrolls at 10.98, but I remember the halo 3 ones got down to 2.98 before they were removed.... so I'll hold off until then.

Checked all 3 targets in the ann arbor-canton-ypsilanti michigan area...no clearance hds (some asshat snagged them all yesterday, since they were there when I got the exercise bike) next time hoarder...next time.

I wish that 160gb was $28.98. At my store it was still all the way up at $80 as of yesterday.

Mine dropped from the $41 price right down to the $14.98 mark. I had checked the day before and the scanners said $41. I almost didn't go back since the other games were still around $30. Weird on how they dropped sooner than I thought.

I posted the same battery kit yesterday and just read a review on it that stated - to be careful in overcharging as the led lights are merely a 17.5 hour timer ...
and thank you for the wii band info, saw it yesterday and passed, might try later today...

I just checked out the Auburn, Alabama store.

Picked up:
360 MX vs. ATV 12.48
360 Condemned 2 9.00
PS3 Burth Limit 14.98
Harmony 520 Remote 49.98

Everything was pretty well picked through since I live in a college town :p Since they didn't have much, whenever I go back in a week or so, will the selection still be slim, or do they get new stock in from other store? How does that work?

Got GTA IV SE $22.98, Scene-it $14.98, and PS3 Skate 9.98 at the Carrolton, TX Target.

They had more copies of GTA SE and Scene-it; I got the last copy of Skate.

that makes me soo mad! ive called every store around here and noone has GTA4. I found one store like an hour from here that has 2 copies, but they are still 44. If I bought those, could I return them at the store here where they just sold out of them for 22 with the recipt and get 44 for each of them, and then turn around and buy them for 22. Does that work?

It's different for each store. If you return it, they may give you the difference in cash or on a gift card. They may also do a return/rebuy or they may just take it as a return and make you wait until it is on the shelf to rebuy it. It just depends on how many hoops you want to jump through for $22.

Picked up Order Up for the Wii for $20.98 today. I would have preferred to wait one more drop before buying it but it was the last copy.

Myrtle Beach, SC store now has (3) Eye of Judgements for 17.48. Would definitely buy it if I already didn't have it.

Went to Target in Rosemont, IL (Mannheim and Touhy). Noted the following prices:

Lost (PC) - $7.48
Alone in the Dark (PC) - $7.48
Iron Man (PC) - $9.98? or $7.48?

I picked up some random stuff that I was really surprised to see, like GTA IV SE, DBZ Burst Limit for 360 and Alone in the Dark (PC). But the best thing I found was:

Altec Lansing VS4221 - See it on Altec's site. It was marked down from the MSRP of $99.99 to $79.98 and further clearance deductions brought it down to $19.98. I've been looking for speakers like the Logitech Z-40 but refuse to pay more than $30. This is even better than that!

Soooo happy I found all this.

Thanks for all of the post guys. I was able to find Lost Odyssey and Grid for $15, Olympics and Skate on the PS3 for $10, Peggle and Bookworm Adventures on the PC for the wife for $2.50 along with two new logitech mice for $10 ea. I haven't had a Target haul like this is a while. :)

I am debating going back to look for the speakers that typeRJ mentioned in his post. Has anyone else seen these speakers at their Target.

Nothing new at the target on Clark Street (Chicago, Ill). Although it doesnt surprise me considering that they usually have nothing good when it comes to games. All I found were things that they said were 20 dollar price cuts but were still 40 bucks. Clearance section did have a couple wireless mouses on clearance for $9.48 otherwise nothing new.

The target near Damen (Chicago Ill) had a couple copies of UT3 for PS3 around 20 bucks, and a copy of mlb 2k8 for 27.98. I wish I was back at Urbana the target there had a couple bin fulls of clearance games for both PS3 and 360.

I picked up a Wall.e game and it has a blank CD-R in it. :( Someone must have stolen the original game. Anybody ever experience this and how do you explain this to the csr when returning?

I picked up The Simpsons game for $12.48 and realized that the side was slit open and someone stole the disc. I called the store and asked to talk to the LOD and I explained the situation and she told me to come back when I can (I live about 50 miles away from that Target) and told me to tell the Service Desk I talked to her. Did that and everything worked out fine.

at the kissimmee store (the one on 192, not the super target) i just picked up GTA IV for $22.xx and the Kodak camera kit with batteries, charger, cloth, tripod for $3.xx (it was mislabeled, should have been $7.xx)
Alone in the Dark (PC) - $7.48

SUWEEET! :) Going to my Target today to look for these. Anybody else find these for the mentioned prices?

Something similar happened to me years ago w/ Gamestop, except in my case, there was no game in the package. I found out as soon as I got home, and I called the store ASAP to let them know what happened; they were cool enough to give me a refund because there was no other game to exchange. What you don't want to do is let them know a week later... you need to call the store ASAP and be as sincere as possible.

If I bought those, could I return them at the store here where they just sold out of them for 22 with the recipt and get 44 for each of them, and then turn around and buy them for 22. Does that work?
Here is how the conversation went

ebojo: Hi do you have any GTAIV Special Editions Left & can you tell me what the price is?

CSR looks up on their computer & see's the $22 Price. Thinks for a second then..

CSR: "Sorry sir we are all out"

CSR hangs up, tells his buddies & buys all of them.
