This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy. If you try be sure to bring a smile and a lollipop.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Nothing else note worthy, it looks like they already set the new Computer Accessories POG so there was no HardDrives, Mice or Keyboards left at any of these 3 stores. A new Target opened up in my area today. Stopped by looking for Mighty Muggs and the first thing that I noticed was the lack of a clearance section. It felt weird. It will be a while before this Target is good for clearance since they mostly had new release games behind the glass case. The only clearance game that I saw was DBZ:BL 360 and it scanned at $59.99. :lol:

Everyone from the cashier to the security guard smiled and greeted me. It felt a little bit weird.

On another note, Wall-E for PS3 dropped to 29.xx this week. At one local Target but was gone the next day.

as of yesterday at 6pm, Roger MN Target had 3 copies of GTAIV SE (22.98)
As of this morning, Brooklyn Park MN Target had 3 as well. But they were priced at 44.98. If interested, it might be worth a call ahead to have them do a price check.
 
I picked up a Logitech MX 518 gaming mouse for $9.98, and Company of Heroes game of the year edition rang up for $4.98.
 
Apologies if this has been posted already but it appears that COD4 is no longer "Not in system" and rings up at the $49.99 price tag.

Picked up Scene It, The Bourne Conspiracy PS3, DBZ Burstlimit PS3 for $14.98 each. They had about 20 or so Scene Its and a few copies of Skate, Grid, Simpsons Wii, and randon DS games.

Hell yes for DCPI numbers. I can't believe I didnt try that until now, d'oh! Anyways I just picked up DBZ (360) for $15 AitD(PC) for $8 and Supreme Commander Forged Alliance for $5.

Noticed that EoJ finally dropped to $18 at my target, but someone got there before me. Who dares! lol

Might go pick up the other DBZ now that I saw it trades for close to 30 at BBV.

Sadly the Target in Norman has been wiped out in terms of clearance items. I'm especially disappointed to see all the guitar-related items gone. I was really hoping to get the Guitar USB cable, I just hope it wasn't some hoarder hoping to turn a profit with some of this stuff. About all that was left was a couple couples of Battle of the Bands for the Wii at 7.48.

Someone mentioned it way back, but was quickly passed by. I want to confirm that all the Targets I've been to have also indeed put this back into the system as $49.99. I guess someone DID screw up the listing in their database, and they finally fixed it.

I recently traded in Smackdown vs. RAW 08 yesterday and it's TIV dropped to $6 for any that want it for that reason.
 
Gah, not only was there nothing new at mine, but Lost Odyssey REFUSES to drop past 29.99!!! Oh well, back to the same hiding spot it's been in for 3 weeks now...
 
I drove way out of the way to a store that said it had Eye of Judgment for the PS3 and got there and it was nowhere to be found. That said, take the online availability with a grain of salt.

So in closing I am looking for one, check out my post in the trade thread.
 
So, I got the DPCI for the TV (in the OP) But at my store it was still 850. The original price was 950, so I'm not sure why the first markdown is slightly over 10%.
I'm gonna go see if I can get it for 650.00 somewhere else-- I'm curious if I could wait until the third drop happened.
 
It looks like one of my local stores is getting ready for Inventory.
All over the place, they have a white sheet of paper on some of the Hooks where products are hung from.
And on a lot of demo items (Like casio keyboards) they have post it notes with "Do not Inventory" written on them.
I wonder if those items are going to be clearanced.

I've seen this phenemon before. I was in a store 15 minutes before closing and exactly what you described had happened. Then I saw some third party company outside that was waiting, who went in five minutes before the store closed. They seemed to have something to do with the event. I don't believe it has anything to do with clearance. Or maybe it does. If someone knows, I've always been curious what this means.
 
It means that a group of people are going to go through the entire store and catalog the sellable product and compare it against the store's computer list of inventory. It helps find areas where shoplifting occurs or gives the computer a new, more accurate list of inventory to go off of. It has nothing to do with clearance.
 
Just picked up Scene It for Xbox 360 for $14 and change at Target in Santa Ana, CA at the corner of 17th St. and Bristol. I was there about 2 pm and they had about 5-7 copies. No GTA4s or Canon Rebel XTs unfortunately.
 
Check your mail, because I just got another $5 off $25 coupon included with a mini-catalog...:whee: Also comes with a bunch of other coupons like $1.00 frozen dinners, etc.
 
I went to a different Target and they seemed to have more there, but GTAIV SE for PS3 still scanned at $89.99. I did pick up an Eye of Judgement for $17.-- though. There was one other one there. Looking back I should have probably picked it up for a friend to do video chat and stuff with, but hopefully it goes to a good home and not a hoarder.
 
The Target by Chandler Mall in AZ had the Wii Intec 7" screen for 99.99, down from 130.00. I would consider it at 75% off because it'd be only 35 bucks or so, but this Target only had two of them, and I haven't seen too many Targets who carry the screen.
 
Union NJ target has both Grid and Lost odyssey but both scanned 41.99. I couldn't believe they both scanned that high.
 
I went to my local target and they had GTA IV Special Edition on 360 for $62. The thread lists that it has been dropped to $22.00. I had the guy price check it but it still came up the same orice. Is this normal? Is there more to the clearance prices which I need to understand?

I didn't see that Ion drum set everybody is looking for, but I did see a cheaper drum machine that was $20 (75% off of $80). Anybody pick this up and like it? Something my kids could play with?

My store had it as $44.98, and as someone pointed out, Target clearance prices are YMMV. I've encountered many items costing more here even though on clearance than many of the listed prices. I asked a very cool worker today and he told me the many criteria that accounts for the various pricing for the clearance items.
 
$44 for the boxset still isn't a bad price if you don't already own the game. And if you do own the game but want the extras, you could easily sell it for $25-30 new, meaning you pay about $15-20 for the extras.

Yeah I just cracked open one of the GTA IV SE's that I bought and that is a pretty decent selection of bonus goodies. My kids have already claimed the lock box ;). I have no interest in the "Art" or music of GTA either, so those don't really interest me (but are nice things in general). Then there's the keychain and duffel bag. Heck, it is really worth it just for the lock box! I'll most likely sell the GTA IV as I'm sure it won't be a hot trade item here on CAG.

As for Target, I hit up FOUR of them tonight and found very little of interest. I did find a Spiderwick Chronicles for $12.48 that I will probably keep. The same store (Beaverton, OR) had several Lost Odyssey locked up in the case for $14.98 so go get 'em if you are in the area.

My main target, so to speak, was the guitar stuff and picture frames. Well, ALL of the digital frames have been wiped out at every store. I never saw those 2-screened ones FoS mentioned. Also, that Disney one that I got for $18.xx was regular price at every store I went to tonight, so that seems pretty YMMV. I ought to go back and get another one from the one place that was clearancing them (if they still have 'em). As for the guitar stuff, I found some effects pedals but not the tuner which was my main target. Oh well... And of course no Ion drum kits to be had except for a full priced one. I suppose I could buy that, return it to a store where it was on clearance, and come back the next day hoping they put it out for $57.xx. But that seems like a lot of work for something that could very easily not come out in my favor.

Yeah, the frames are VERY Ymmv... The Disney ones weren't on clearance for me. There was this beautiful 10 inch photo frame for 44.98... but they were all sold out. Tear. So, I'm going to have to do a return and rebuy on one of the stores that have the two screens full price. I have the Dora one I could give my Grandma, but that'd be weird to give my Grandma a dora frame (even though it's just paper inserts)
 
Never found a GTA IV SE that went below the $40+ level. Oh well. It's funny, I could easily use GS credit to buy it, but the thrill of the hunt made me desire the clearance one more. Maybe it's like the animal kingdom, where you have to kill the prey for it to be desireable. Whatever.

I did find a Scene It for $15. Thanks CAG for pointing me to DPCI numbers. The games were mistagged at $42, but running the numbers at a scanner let me know the real deal. I'm used to that happening at Kmart, this is a first for me at Target.
