This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy. If you try be sure to bring a smile and a lollipop.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The El Centro, CA store has 4 or 5 copies of No More Heroes, $20.98. Picked up a copy for myself, pretty sweet game. I did notice that they had it a month ago in the budget game aisle and then it got pulled. I was hoping to catch it on a clearance drop, which I thought wouldn't happen.

Besides that, nothing much at my store....pretty lackluster. I saw SKATE for $10, but I passed.

Just about every game that comes out now is branded "bad" in some way with this generation of gaming.

People look at everything so technical and forget they are playing games for fun.

Have you played the demo?

There's nothing even remotely fun about Facebraker, and I love boxing games.

Even at 10.00 I'd probably pass but $35 is a serious waste of cash.

Forgot to post this up. Few days ago picked up:

Lost Odyssey $14.98
GRID $14.98
New International Track and Field (DS) $14.98

This was at the Apple Valley, CA Super Target. I'll be holding on to my receipt to see if the DS game drops to $7.48 so I can do a return/rebuy. As for the 1st 2 games I swapped them on Goozex and picked up many DS games that traded in for $18-$22 dollars each for roughly $84+ trade in credit.

They're two completely different animals. If you want arcadey skating with endless manuals and grinds, play Tony Hawk. If you want realistic skating with more emphasis on creating lines, play Skate.

That is not likely, I believe they do it based on how a game sells. Pure is considered a good game and Madden 09 CE was clearanced a few weeks after it came out.

Camden location in San Jose, CA has two copies of PS3 DBZ for $15 after I took one. 360 one is still marked at $30. There is one 360 GRID for $15 hidden behind a row of Hulk, I think, at the games endcap, not the clearance one. It's the bottom left corner one. Also, there are tons of that Kodak package with the charger marked at $15, but scanned $7.50.

I bought No More Heroes/House of Dead 2+3 at 14.99. I know NMH would drop a dollar or two, but it was the last copy. Also, Hopefully , I can find HOD2/3 for 7-9 bucks, but I highly doubt it, since they seem to be rare at the 20 price point.

Hit up the Birmingham, AL store. Managed to scoop up:

7 inch Digital Frame - 22.48

Overall I was pretty happy to find these games, especially Bully for so cheap. However, none of the games were on the clearance rack, they were all in the glass case and still had the 59.99 price tag.

...Check Walmart, I picked up the EOJ pack (camera, game, mat, stand, deck of cards with booster pack) for $29.99 on clearance just last week. They were in glass case on bottom shelf.

I have heard of some Targets knocking the price down to 90% off but that will depend on the store.

Yeah, I know about Walmart, but the closest one is a ways away....if I have any free time, I'll consider checking it out.

The Hampton, VA Target had 4 GTA IV:SE for $44.98. I decided not to pick any of then up since I already got one for $22 back at home in Maryland.

Also, slightly off topic:
I was able to pick up DDR Universe Xbox 360 (game only) for only $5.00 from Toys R Us. I don't have a dance pad for the 360 but hopefully it won't be too hard to find one.
