This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy. If you try be sure to bring a smile and a lollipop.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Was lucky last week (or was it 2 weeks ago?) and saw Lost Odyssey for $30. I thought "it'll drop some more, I'll just wait" and sure enough, a week later it was $15 and I snagged it. For once, I got a game on clearance that I'd actually play.

Okay, I bought Lost Odyssey for $14 at target along with Dragon Ball Z...and then I traded them in at gamestop towards Fable 2. There are about thirty 360 games, 30 Wii Games and 30 Playstation 3 games that you can trade in (any combo) and get $20 (each) TIV towards Fable II, NBA 2K9, Fallout 3, etc.

I traded those two in for Fable and only paid ($20).

Then I traded another copy of Lost Odyssey with Tiger Woods 08 (bought for about $7 at Target) and traded them in for Fallout 3. I ony had to pay $15 for that one because the cashier didn't know how to complete the deal on a pre-order. I didn't compain.

Bottom line is...you should buy it. This Gamestop deal only lasts until 11/2. I would scan, but I don't have a scanner and I am sure there is another thread about it on here somewhere.

I saw a few of them 2-3 weeks ago. Already own the 360 version and this one seems to have fewer features, so I passed. Of course they were gone the next time I came a week later.

Amazon frequently has the 550 for $50 - I think it has more features, and (for many states) no tax. So this wasn't that great a deal, unless you have an aversion to Amazon.

Well, seems you've got more competition. I've been going to three of those (the two on Capital, and the North Hills one) for about seven months now. I also go to three other Targets in this area (Cary, Garner, Lynn Rd.) and occasionally the other one in Garner (both stores are on Timber Dr., albeit different Timber Drives, which is incredibly confusing). I haven't gotten many good deals recently (guess you guys are beating me to them), but the Targets are always close to the other video game stores I frequent, so I've got no problem stopping in.

These is somebody selling the 550 on ebay for $64 new. With the 25% of through live.com, you can get it for under $50 (once you get your cashback in 60 days).

Ran to my local Target for the GTA 4 Special Ed at $22, I figured it was dropping last monday and when I called it was confirmed. Managed to nab the last copy out of 6 left in the hour it took me to get there!

Also found a Logitech Extreme 3d Pro Joystick for $3(!) so I picked it up for kicks.

Oh, and a Nerf Big Bad Bow for $10, for those that like that sort of thing.

I hear you, but unfortunately I highly doubt there are many still left at that price.

As it's been discussed and brought up numerous times in this thread, and the anthology that has come before it, most common shoppers will pick-up anything with a clearance sticker on it, no matter the decrease in percentage. I think when some Mom, kid, your young shopper saw that the price was nearly half of retail, they jumped on it.

Still though, paying for an LE that has been out less than a year for nearly half the price, not to mention cheaper than the standalone game fetches...in my book isn't a bad price.

Yeah I agree.. I went to check last week and many stores still had $44 copies in stock though.

I got lucky with mine in that it was still marked in the case at only 30% off... but I had the guy check the price for me before snatching it up... best thing was I sold the sealed copy inside for more than the set cost me... (already had the game before... so selling the sealed copy fetched me more)

they're hard to come by now. My brother bought one when it was $45 he's still looking for Targets that have the $23 one's in stock.

I bought one and went back a couple of days later to help him buy one but some hoarder in my area grabbed all the Harmony Remotes + a few PS3, 360 games
