This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy. If you try be sure to bring a smile and a lollipop.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The onslaught of new games have not totally arrived yet. In a month or so, you'll probably see each row of their video game department choke full of games.

Target is preemptively preparing for this. I mean seriously, who in their right mind would buy Golden Axe for full retail value? They might as well use that space for Gears of War 2, Resistance 2, etc that will undoubtedly sell a lot more than mediocre games.
 
My target in AZ had a bunch of new clearance. Pure for PS3 dropped to 29.98. A bunch of accessory type things dropped. Key for me was the 120 gig xbox hard drive, down to 124.xx One more drop and it would be perfect. Didn't really pay attention to the rest of the stuff

Hmm...that strikes me as a getting rid of the 120gb HDD sort of thing. I wonder if they're going to bump it up to 160gb or higher.
 
i've been eyeing a frontlines for the past month and it went from 41.98 down to 29.99. does that mean its not on clearance anymore? weird.

Thanks for the heads up, Im gonna have to start watching for those HDDs.

You mind if I ask which location? or is there only one left there?
 
Wario: Master of Disguise is also $14.98 at my target. Hopefully it drops lower.

I picked up International: Track and Field for the DS for $7.48 and My Word Coach for $4.98

i was at the target in long beach tonight and was able to pick up the last 2 limited edition gta's (one for me and one for my bf) for $19.71 each. i was surprised that they had dropped to $22.98 already since they were ringing up as $62.98 last week.

Unfortunately, Target clearance prices are not universal.

I have seen Pure for $40.98 at my Target. So I'd say it's universal clearance for it. I am going to check and see if 360 HDD prices have fallen or not. If I can get a 120gb HDD for $100 or less, I'd definitely buy it.
 
I went to a local Austin Target, but Heroes of might and magic V still rang up at $19.99.

They did have Final Fantasy Tactics for the PSP at a clearance price of $13.98
 
For anyone that lives in the KC area I saw a Piano Black PSP with and "AS-IS" label on it for $119.00. Looks like the package had been torn open at the top and then taped up. Not a bad deal for someone that might be looking to pick up a PSP system.

This was at the Super Target in Liberty, MO.

I went to the one behind Chandler Mall (Chandler and the 101). They had 2 or 3 there. I'm assuming other Target's will follow suit though, just keep an eye out the next couple of weeks
 
This morning I found Facebreaker Ps3 for $34.98 I picked it up since I found the EYE camera at Walmart too on clearance. There were a few more PS3 Games with Red stickers but the place was so frikin' packed I had to leave. :roll:

Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 - $27.98 (360)

I also noticed these games:

Civilization - $41.98 (360)
Gears of War re-release - $27.98 (360)

They also had Ninja Gaiden 2 (360), Battlefield Bad Company (360) and the Olympics game (360). I didn't note their prices since I had no interest in them, but I think they were all the initial 30% off.

:ps3: NBA 09: The Inside $41.98

Both were released within the last three weeks...guess Target is clearing space for all the big Fall releases coming up.

Good old Target. Adding Civ, NG2 and Battlefield Bad Co. to my want list. Now if only Target would give us another "$5 off" coupon along with a "$10 off 360" coupon. :lol:

I think as more and more new releases start pouring out during the next few weeks, we will start to see a TON of new clearance games. I, for one, can not wait.
 
The Pac-Man 3-pack also came out within the last few weeks, right? Add that to the list of games Target is putting on clearance really fast. Now, if they would only clearance Dead Space...

Interesting...

I'm guessing they're getting the 120gb HDD bundles with the Ethernet cords and whanot like the 60gb HDD's. A $100 entry is the magic price for me.

How long have u been reading the Target Clearance thread... If it has the CLEARANCE sticker its universal but just not at the same time as all of the other targets... The only NON Universal drops are the AS IS stickers... Of course there are always chances that it was a mislabel which is why I asked if anyone else can confirm...

As for the Gears of War 2 CD edition I'm kinda interested in it if it drops low enough... $27.98 is a weird price tho are you sure it was a clearance sticker and not a As Is sticker...

No. You are wrong. There are many examples of some games hitting clearance (not as-is, but clearance) such as Final Fantasy Tactics A-2, Advance Wars: Days of Ruin, the blue and pink Xbox controllers, etc. It does happen quite often, but I would say something going on clearance at Target is more universal than not.

Also, the Gears of War drop sounds right. 27.98 (28.00) is 30% off of 39.99. I snagged a Gears of Wars off Craigslist for 10 bucks, but seeing as though this release has the extra maps on it, I may have to hold out on this hitting 9.98. That and it should hopefully be easy since each Target should have an assload of them.

But great drops, boys and girls! Thanks for the updates-- I saw some of them when I was out and about. Also noticed Wipeout Pure for 20.98 and the second Hot Shots game for PSP. I'll be updating the list later today. I'll be waiting on Pure for 360 to drop, and Civ: Revolutions. Now I got a whole new list of games in my head, and a reason to live. Just when I thought I could tighten the noose around my neck and kick the chair out from underneath me .
 
Did you mean Wipeout Pulse? Isn't Wipeout Pure the first PSP game? I haven't seen that in a while. Pulse is 5-10 at Kmart, but I'm sure you already know...

So do these prices still stand? Will Madden 09 Collector's Edition still be $22? Because I could trade them in and get a little extra then what I payed for.

Exactly what I'm waiting for. Seeing as it's a mature rated game, it'll probably hit clearance sooner than later. Condemned 2 Bloodshot was clearanced fairly soon after release, I think.

With the way Dead Space is selling im sure its not going to go clearance to soon Condemned 2 was not a huge hit and with Dead Space the internet along with word of mouth are selling the crap out of this title..
 
With a B2G1 free sale on Wii games coming up soon, here's to hoping that copies of No More Heroes and RE4 will hang around long enough to make next week.

Yea, I can verify Civ and GoW re-release at those prices here as well. Your post refreshed my memory on a couple others I saw:

Ninja Gaiden 2 - $41.xx
Beijing Olympics (360) - $34

I'm also pretty sure that Battlefield BC for 360 was clearanced at $41, but I'm not 100% sure right now. I'll try to stop tomorrow to see if anything else dropped.
