This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy. If you try be sure to bring a smile and a lollipop.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Against my better judgement, I picked up Wall-E PS3 for $12.48. It was the last copy and my daughter is getting the movie for Christmas, so I figured this might be a half-decent way to try to reel her in to gaming. Who knows, might end up returning it though.

My store continues to blow when it comes to timely drops (and keeping anything in stock for further drops). I saw Golden Axe BR @ $41.98 and a couple others that have already been mentioned. Pure did drop to $29.98, but that's something I'd rather wait on for a $15 price (but they only had one copy left). Oh well.

I played in on the 360 (via a free rental) and it was enjoyable enough - better than the reviews would have you believe anyway. I'd say it is worth $12.48 if you have a kid to share it with, though you will probably have to help her a lot in parts (depending on her age).

Yeah, I agree. I too played it (rental) on the 360 and my kids loved it. They got me through all the levels and all I had to do was play clean-up to get 1000/1000 on achivements. Call it cheap kid labor or whatever but it saved me some time.

Hey guys I've been lurking this thread and a few others for a few weeks; I contribute pretty often to the Target clearance thread on FW, so I thought I'd throw my .02 in...


Saw a lot of new 360 titles on clearance at my local target here in Central AL. Most have been reported here already but the markdowns were fresh here.

Pure (360) finally dropped to $41.98. I'm really excited to pick this one up. They've had that price for the PS3 version for around 2 weeks, but I just tend to stick w/ the 360 except for exclusives.

BF:BC (360) has also dropped to around $35, so that is tempting as well. But, upon looking around today, it seems this price is dropping (both MSRP and used prices) all around. It's $39.95 brand new at BBV, so I'm actually thinking about taking some trade-ins over there. Also, it's around $44.95 used at GS, so with possibly the Cellfire and EDGE discounts, this could be pretty cheap there, too.

Ninja Gaiden 2 (360) $41.98...not really too interested in this one, so not much to say; this is a new clearance here.

On the PS3 side, not much going...they've had Pure, Facebreaker, and the NBA game at $41.98 for a few weeks.

I did see a few 120gb's finally drop to $127.xx here today. Also saw the wireless wheel (360) for 30% off (around $70); this might be tempting if I didn't get a cheap logitech about a year ago from GS. Tons of PSP accessories starting to hit clearance: some cases, mem cards, a few games, etc...

In the non-gaming sector, I did manage to pick up 50ft. of Sony speaker cable ($6.37-75% off of $25.49), and a 3ft. Belkin Digital Coax audio cable ($3.12-75% off of $12.49)....not too shabby.

Sorry to be long-winded...I really enjoy this site, and hope to contribute more!

I swear people who shop at that store are idiots. I remember they managed to clear all of the Creative Zen Stones that went on clearance a month back for $30 a pop, at least 35 or so...

Sterling had a dozen or so Zen stones (red)before they went poof.

Nothing worth flipping unless you want Enchanted for GBA?

Punched in the numbers for Scene It today and the scanner couldn't find the item. Does that mean if it's scanned by the gun at the register that it'll ring up at $14.48? New to this clearance stuff>_

It means that it will ring up as out of the system at the register and prompt the cashier to enter the price. If it is tagged $14.98, they will input that in, otherwise they will probably input whatever it is tagged unless you can convince them to use the LRT handheld scanning gun to look up the last selling price. Then there is the possibility that they won't sell it to you as some Targets refuse to sell out of the system merchandise.

I've been checking a few Targets and the location makes a huge difference around here. Some haven't taken on the new clearance like Gears, RSV2, Bad Company for 360... which makes me think that there won't be a new price drop for another week.

An employee at one with the price drops told me that possibly tomorrow there would be new prices on stuff.... but I'm not going to hold a candle to it.

I wouldn't mind picking up Gears or either of the games i've mentioned before on the cheap. But I might just have to jump on them now!

Where are those usually located? I don't really want to ask the people down there, because that makes you look really, really weird. I get a lot of stares anyway, but asking about their returns cart is kinda pushing it.

Not much for new drops in RPB , Florida either. Age of Conan dropped to $20 , Golden Axe dropped to $41 , Pure dropped to $30 , and most of the PS2 3 packs (Namco Fighter , Naruto , Pac-Man) all dropped to $20.

Only other things of note were a bunch of 360 , PSP and PS3 accessories that dropped (can't recall specifics though) and Buzz Hollywood Quiz with Buzzers dropped to $20.

Same here. Those same games (plus Civiliazation Revolution, Ninja Gaiden 2) aren't even clearanced yet at many of my local stores. Seems like they are holding out so they don't have to take a loss by clearancing them.
