This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy. If you try be sure to bring a smile and a lollipop.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Anyone see Sega Bass Fishing or the other $15 Wii games drop to $7.50 yet? They have been $15 for a month now. I'm getting tired of stopping at Target once a week to see they still haven't dropped and are still collecting dust. If the store wasn't right across the street from my office, it would have been cheaper to just pay the $15 by now.

I go to the GYM 4-5 times a week and the target is 30 seconds distance. I did checked out the clearance section twice a week. So far nothing drop last week and this week

Yeah, I would definitely wait on those; if they drop to 75% they're a decent deal (I scored a $3 digital coaxial cable yesterday). Much more than that, and it's easier to just go to monoprice.com and wait 4-5 days to get 'em.

The best deal I found was Ghirardelli bags of chocolate. They were $0.74 down from $2.99 but what made them better is they had $1.00 off 2 bag coupons on the bag that peel right off. I bought 6 bags for $0.24 each. I wish they had them at 90% off since I would get overage I could apply towards something else like some clearance games. I hope 90% off is Friday like it supposed to be since at Christmas, it held at 75% for a lot longer than normal (over a week I think)

And game related, Contra 4 has been $13.98 for 3 weeks. I hate how some stores don't drop prices.

I went ahead and bought the 120 gig HD for $125. I'll recoup about half the cost by selling my 60 gig. The extra space will be nice with the new dashboard update, since you can install games the the HD. I've installed a few games and the system is so much quieter, because the drive isn't always spinning.

I'll probably go ahead and do the same thing Friday morning. My store has one... maybe it'll still be there. If so, it's cold hard cash plus my 10% discount. Now if only Nov. 19 would get here already. I want mah NXE. $121.64 (I think) is about as good a deal as any. I do wish Target would have actually dropped the retail to be in line with what it's supposed to be ($149.99). Meh.
