This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy. If you try be sure to bring a smile and a lollipop.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Only thing I haven't picked up yet is Ninja G II...at every Target I've been to yesterday and today it's still holding at $29.98
 
I went looking for House of the Dead 2&3 today. I came up empty, but I did pick up [207-26-0150] Williams Pinball Hall of Fame for $9.98 (the list has it at $13.98).

On the 20th, I found the two-in-one Outlaw Golf/Darkened Skye [207-14-0688] for Gamecube at $6.98.

I've been wanting to go look ... the thought of Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 for $9.xx is nearly impossible to resist.

I've pretty much gotten everything else that is out there on clearance. Though a hard drive for 90.xx or so would be nice.
 
just got back from my local target and this is what i saw:

those are the few that stuck out to me. was hoping for battlefield: bad company but it seems that my target is all out of those :(
 
My Target used to have a fantastic clearance section, but, inexplicably, it has all but disappeared, except for one or two random doodads (Mr. Driller GBA or something).

Why? Has anyone else has this happen?

I used to get half my games from their clearance, not to mention sometimes buy a few and sell them on Half.com! :(

My local Target's prices stayed the same. Honestly, it'd be dumb for them to drop prices anyway with Black Friday coming up. Like others have said, customers will snatch these up Friday when they see the red clearance sticker, regardless of how much the discount is.
 
For any CAGs in the West-Central Illinois area, Galesburg, IL Target has a copy of Uncharted for $29.xx. Really the only thing worthy of note. Everything else is still at the $41 or so price point.

Oh, well, totally acceptable in that case. Just remember, folks, no hiding games unless they're holiday gifts for significant others. And in that case, be sure to tell your S.O. all the trouble you went through hiding their gift so you could pay less for it.

One of my local stores started putting each clearance game in a large plastic shell that has some sort of hardware that I assume is anti-theft related. Err, excuse me, I meant "loss prevention." I thought all game cases already had a tag in them that would cause the detectors to alarm, but anyway. Who knew DMC4 was that precious? The net effect is a reduction in the number of clearance games that will fit in a given space. Sorry, this might inconvenience those of you who like to hide your games between the packages in the panty hose racks.

I went looking for either RBSV2, Scene It, or LO but my local store only had Rainbow and it was $19.98. Well at least the guy at the counter told me that's the only one of the 3 they had. He just spouted the information from the top of his head about not having the others. I was hoping he'd at least look in the computer or something.
 
i just about had it with my local targets. Nothing pasts 50% off anymore all the ratchets and uncharteds are gone at $30. I'm either going to A) venture out to further ones or B) start a layaway program lol (I could use some helpful hints for storage places too). I advise everyone to buy whatever they can now or put them on layaway before black friday. I also seen a whole bunch of 360 games that popped out of nowhere.
 
Saw 1 BF Bad Company, and a stack of Pure, DMC4, NGII, and Civ Revs at the Gardena store, but all at $10-15 over the lowest clearance price. Ah wells...
 
Damn another Target that had 5+ Gears of War [Refresh] on Sunday and then today they were sold out... Who the hell is buying up Gears of War 1 >.

I picked up a PS3 copy of Civilization Revolution yesterday for $29.98. I would love to find this at the $14.98 price, but I just don't want to waste more time going from store to store next Monday. The location that I went to (Herndon/Willow Clovis CA) had great quantities of DMC4 and Gears...just waiting for that next reduction *crosses fingers*

my target has every game listed here and then some... they somehow found more copies of previously clearanced games but they are now 19.99... also every games is still only 30% off... and with black friday coming up i can guarantee there will be no clearanced games left... friggin black friday

If people are interested in flipping copies of Pure that they bought for $15, Gamestop is giving $25.25 base credit for the 360 version. Add an Edge card + Cellfire coupon for trading in 2 or more games, and you're at $35.00.

Wish the freaking Target stores in Chicago would drop the price to $15.

Don't make excuses for hiding things. If it's on the shelf, it's fair game to everyone. Unless put it on layaway, then you can't say shit about it. If I don't get the item on clearance now, eventually it drops in price somewhere else and I get it sooner or later. For example the 360 hard drive, well if it wasn't for that fat tub of lard who stashed it behind the radio the other day, I wouldn't have found it for about 40 dollars cheaper at CC with coupon.

LP needs to watch clearance more carefully for people like you so they can ban you from the store. I know the Chantilly Store already has gotten in trouble for holding clearance items for customers in electronics.
 
My local Target (Brandywine DE) suddenly had a ton of clearance stuff, they must have been holding it back for Black Friday. Unfortunately there was nothing that hasn't been seen at other Targets for cheaper. Things like

DMC 4 (360) - $41.98
Pure (360) - $41.98
Ninja Gaiden II - $41.98
BF: Bad Company - $34.98
Beijing Olympics 2008 (360) - $34.98

I might have picked BF and Beijing 2008 on the next drop, but I doubt they'll last past Black Friday.

Sounds like a little hostility because of someone not getting the items they want.... there are tons of other CAG that rarely ever get anything from Target one being me.. last night when I was there getting other things there were tons of items that I wanted but the prices were all mixed up and not anywhere that people have gotten and I know damn well the prices will all drop to where they are supposed to be and it will all be gone... get used to it theres to much competition now..

You know, I would agree with your post if in fact I was the douchebag you've made me out to be. I've offered to purchase many items for CAG members from the Target Clearance before, not to mention I've been selling a lot of items for cost plus shipping, so don't try to give me a moral/ethics lesson. I understand it's not fair, and maybe you're right, there is nothing that can justify my doing so. But what I know is that I'm fair with everything else in my life and that my intentions were good.

Now if you would kindly please get off your high horse and return to this thread it would be greatly appreciated.

Also thanks for contributing to the future thread "Where to hide your games at Target" :rofl: Who cares what some of us do. Not all of us can be Christ like you and be sin free. We all make choices and we will answer for those, so we don't need self righteous members like you whining because you're morals cause you to miss out on cheap items. Many members like Z(+)diac hide for the better of this community. Does that justify his or others actions no, but these actions are not solely for personal gain.

Last time I checked my favorite target moved the clearance stuff from the lightbulb endcap (YES!!!) closer to the games section (NOOOOO!!!!).
I used to get such sweet deals, advanced wars ds for 4.98!!!! Now it just gets raped before I can get there. I need to find another target....

Has anyone noticed any drops today? I know it's unlikely but I'm curious if they'd do one last pre-BF drop (depends on if they want to move the stuff or if they assume, as we all are, nothing will surviving the rampaging hordes)

I will return FB and BO since I thought they might have been worth more. I was out looking for BRs at GS and passed by this Target and was happy to find the last copy of Civ Rev. The lowest I had seen it before was $29.98 (just this week).

I'm making a run in about 10 minutes to a store that has been doing mid-week drops instead of Monday drops the last month or so. I'll post if I find anything new.

I usually find an aisle with nothing on the bottom shelf. You can lift those shelves up a little and find a nice hiding place that no one will ever know about. Stop back once a week and type in the DPCI numbers on a price checker, then buy when they hit the price you want. Soon, you will get everything at 75% off or more.
 
Last night I went to the Super Target location literally only a block or two from my home and I had to wait almost 20 minutes for the slowest, laziest employee I've ever seen to mark down the games and put them back on the shelf. Any time I would come near where he was working, he'd stare at me, mouth open, breathing heavily, his bulk literally preventing me from going anywhere near the games. And after all that, Battlefield: Bad Company was still $29.98!
