This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy. If you try be sure to bring a smile and a lollipop.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Maybe we'll finally see the PS3 GTAIV SE drop like the 360 version did. I really wanted a cheap copy of that but it was still full price last time I was at Target for PS3.

Found the 20GB HDD, it must be hidden or a return. It's no longer in the system, but it has the $ 24.98 sticker on it.

And DMC4 - tons of them - already hit $ 14.98.

Well, DMC3 already set the standard of standard mooks not being too huge a threat. Being able to SLAM DUNK them isn't exactly a change from those lines.

But, still, in DMC3, you could Trickster dodge your way through quite a bit and peck your way to victory where you could get a shot in.

I played and beat DMC3 Regular before the SE came out and the brutal difficulty was one of the things that made me so intrigued by it. Despite it being frustrating at times, I found myself wanting more... and ultimately found it much more rewarding. The problem? Not everyone's willing to put up with dying so much to get that level of satisfaction, which leaves DMC3 with less sales. I disagree with you about the Gold Orbs, but maybe that's just me.

Yeah, I'm not a masochist. I'm not in it for the difficulty so much as the specific sort of intricate gameplay DMC has, which works sort of symbiotically with the difficulty.

DMC4 was too easy on the initial setting, but for action newbies it's perfect. Because I've played over 300 hours of DMC3, it didn't sit well with me and I wasn't as satisfied with it from a challenge standpoint. But that's okay if more people enjoy DMC because of it.

If I wanted new people to enjoy DMC, I'd give them a tutorial that teaches them the joys of Stinger and the uppercut move, but that's just me.

I find the game more rewarding that Ninja Gaiden in a way, as well, but I still love NG 1 (1, Sigma, and Black). NG2 was a travesty in terms of real combat difficulty and turned into a less precise slaughterfest tactics with difficulty stemming from cheap blind shots... but I digress.

I ragequit NG1 when I was getting nailed by insta-hit exploding shuriken from off screen. Cheap blind shots indeed.

I'm not sure I agree with this. When you're playing Dante Must Die mode in DMC3 and the enemies go into Devil Trigger, you can't stun them unless you do a series of powerful hits (High Times, Helm Splitters, Stingers). Knocking them to the ground takes even longer. You can't stun many of the regular enemies at all, or it at least takes a few good attacks. In DMD mode, every enemy is a potential threat until you become very good at canceling and air juggling. And even then...

In DMC4, Devil Bringer and Devil Buster trumps everything from the ice demons to the shadowy bug creatures to the Devil Triggered enemies. Hell, even Blitz could be Devil Bustered repeatedly when you knocked off its lightning shield.

In DMC3, once Trickster gain Air Dash, you could hardly be hit, but before that it still required timing. The sacrifice of this is that it limits your options and doesn't have any cool attacks. Even leveled up you still had to time things with Trickster. There was significant recovery time after the dash (not air dash) that I know to take into account now, but when first starting it can be tough to get used to.

There's a reason why people complained at the switch to Dante in DMC4 after playing as Nero. They couldn't use Devil Bringer for everything anymore. I'm not saying it's a bad mechanic or made the combat less refined... I'm saying that it just made things easier. Not only easier, but easier and still able to get Stylish points.

I managed to get Civ: Rev, but with some trouble. I called to see if they still had the game, and the receptionist checked with the guy in electronics. He said he checked the PS2 section (?) and they didn't have any. I told them to check the clearance section and reiterated it was a 360 title. They found it, and the receptionist offered to place it on hold. I agreed and they told me it'd be at Guest Service.

I went down there to Guest Service and they looked, but could not find it. The woman working there said, "Well, we don't put clearance on hold." Bitch, that ain't got nothing to do with the receptionist offering to put the game on hold for me!

At any rate, I went back to the endcap and found one that may have been hidden by someone. That store had some other unreported drops I'll be adding to the OP, along with a bunch of DPCI numbers.

Oh, by the way, to the GS manager I was speaking to a couple of weekends ago. If you're reading this, I'm the dude you were speaking to! The one who was contemplating buying a dozen of your King Kong on HD DVD specifically for the cases for my other movies.

It's not a sale price. Target's clearance is not something that reflects company wide. The clearance prices are set by each individual store. So you may not see the clearance price as $45 or $90.

Each store may have different prices. But don't just accept what you see on the tag. Ask for a price-check.

Same here, I feel your pain. Thats why I bought Civ (PS3) for 29.98, seriously gamers around here are really dumb and picky sometimes. A friend of mine for example bought a 360 with 2 games (sorry forgot which ones) and a controller for $10!!!!!!!!! Yes $10 i know its insane.
