This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy. If you try be sure to bring a smile and a lollipop.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Just got back from another run, and I've decided neither Target near me knows the meaning of "clearance price drops" as nothing seems to have moved downwards. One store put out a LOT of new stuff (And totally moved the clearance area-- I had a heart attack when I rounded the corner to the old location and there were 2 LCDs there and the 100+ games they had on Monday were gone)-- nothing new to this list, but new to the store (Darkness for $13.98, etc). The remaining Ninja Gaidens and CivRevs were gone-- didn't bring the UPC to know if they went at the $29.98 they were Monday or if they dropped.

The 50+ Ratchet and Clanks sit unloved at $29.98 (I really wish they'd drop)...

I did pick up Transformers PS3 for $13.98 (weird it came back, I swear they had these back in the summer around $24.98 and they disappeared)-- figured for $14 it couldn't be that bad.

The other store seemed pretty cleared out.

Target clearance deals, especially when they get to 75% off, become extremely YMMV. I've only seen 2-3 people get this price on this thread. The drives were pretty hard to find even at $90 so $45 is probably only likely if you live in a fairly rural area and have some slow turnover Targets.

Jeez. I wonder if my Target maybe moved the clearance section and I didn't notice? There is still some clearance stuff where the old clearance was, but it's a shadow of its former glory. Maybe I should look around the whole store. Maybe it's hidden.

I'm jealous of the Ratchet price. I bought the Asian version for $35 cause I was sick of waiting for the US version to drop. And now, of course, it has dropped...

All would be well if I could get CivRev for $15. But I guess I'm pretty happy with my $10 Age of Conan.

It's hard to tell. I think that because of the Holidays coming, they're on a different schedule. I know that DMC 4, and a few other things were sitting at $41.+ on Monday afternoon (even Tuesday.) And when I went yesterday they were all either $29.98 or cheaper.

At the very least, you could have first bought 4 crap $.99 or less last gen games (with Edge card, of course, probably cost $4-5 total), then turn around and trade said games back in along with Pure to utilize the tiered offer (to get your trade in total to 5 games); then they will kick in an extra 30%, and then your EDGE will boost that to effectively 40%.

Then, your TIV for pure would be around $35. Even if you subtract 4 or 5 dollars for the crap filler games, you'd still get another 4 or 5 extra in credit, net, for Pure. I mean if you want to just flip that game, and you're already going to those stores, might as well maximize, no...?

Personally, I would have loved to find a $15 Pure; I've been dying to grab that title for cheap. I have found almost every other desireable Target clearance title in the last month or so at the rock bottom price (BF:BC, Civ:Rev, NBA, NG II, RSV2, etc...), but never a cheap Pure!

I've gotten three games from Gamefly used, and I dont think any of them were ever even played or at the least they were all perfect.

They get soooooo many copies of every title that its more rare you get a game that dozens of people have played and I'd bet that the "used" copies of GH:Aerosmith are overstock that have never even been rented.

What amazes me is that DMC4 and Uncharted started at $41.98 together. Uncharted dropped to $29.98 a while ago and DMC4 stayed at $41.98 forever. Now DMC4 has 2 drops in back to back weeks and Uncharted hasn't budged. I'll never understand Target markdowns.

Thats exactly what I ended up doing. The thing that irritates me about gamefly is there "buy one game your done shipping" If I want 3 games I have to pay for shipping each independently.
