This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy. If you try be sure to bring a smile and a lollipop.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

I'm not sure about games, but I recall one time a 20" TV was on clearance and there were none on the floor. I entered in the DCPI at a terminal and it said it was in the stockroom. I asked a worker and he punched in the number into his PDA and confirmed it was in the stockroom and he went back and got it for me. It was only $40 for that tv on clearance. So it is possible I guess. In this case, you have to ask.

The Highland Village target has been cleaned out. No more Pure's or NG II... Last Saturday there were 7 or 8 copies of Pure, same for DMC4 and 2 copies of NG II. Today they only had 3 DMC4 copies for 14.98 andthat was it!

I convinced my wife that we need to go to Denton so I stopped at that Target and got the last copy of Ninja Gaiden for $14.98. There were 2 copies of Pure left at 14.98 so I grabbed one even though I was not really interested in this game.

Overall, the trip was worth it!

didn't see much at North Hills Raleigh store, but was mainly looking for 360 games. I love Target clearance endcaps!! I asked my wife for Target gift cards so i could go discount shopping and not have to feel guilty about it!

w00t!! Went my Target in Myrtle Beach, SC (17 Bypass) Saturday and saw 2 120gig drives still sitting there at $90...left them there...crossed my fingers...and yesterday picked them both up for $45ea (one is for a friend that couldn't make it to the store so I picked it up for him).

Weird that the drives were the only thing marked down from Saturday?!?!

So, yeah anyone know if the deals are in the Bronx?

The only Targets I know if nearby....which are still lengthy rides. There's one in Mount Vernon and another near Kingsbridge. I'd really appreciate it if anyone knew if those Target stores were onboard.

Seriously though, the Denton Target usually REALLY sucks. I surprised any of that stayed around as long as it did.
 
grabbed final fantasy tactics for psp for 4.98. unfortunately the target i go to often never has decent deals. a lot fo stuff still 41.98. bah. :(
 
Scored CivRev:360: & DMC4:360: for $14.98 at the Newburgh NY Target this morning. They had 2 other copies of DMC, and about 15 of CivRev. Score!!
Saw about 6 copies of NFS:C:360: for $14.98 at the Middletown store, but I passed.
 
Just got Pure, NG 2, and DMC4, all $15. I hid several other games I wanted last week in an ottoman, since they were $30 then, and when I checked today they were gone! Oh well at least I got a few titles I wanted.

Yeah, you stay away from "my" Target in Highland Village (its like 10 minutes from my house).

I agree with you about things flying pretty fast at the Denton Target. I recall seeing like 7 copies of Kane and Lynch at this Target several months ago and they were super cheap ($9.99 for PS3). I debated and decided not to get it, for some reason my wife dragged me the next day to this Target in Denton, and all 7 copies of Kane and Lynch were gone.

I shouldn't be saying this, but the Highland Village Target has way better selection of clearance games than any other Target in this area. I have seen tons of games for cheap like "The Club" for 7.49 (I passed), NCAA football 08 for 7.49 (I bought), Spyro the dragon (PS2) for $5 (they had like 20 copies at one point, no kidding) etc. I guess this Target is frequented by all the MILFs from Lantana and all the rich people from Flower Mound and its surroundings. I swear that almost every time I go there, I see hot moms in tight pants with their spoiled 10 year old boy buying two $60 games or buying some accesories for their Wii.

The Mt. Vernon Target has some good deals sometimes, but their clearance section is usually a percentage cut behind the rest.

I've had some luck at the White Plains, Palisades Mall, and Spring Valley Targets, but they are probably too far to visit in the hopes of finding good clearance games.

Makes sense to me. We might have to keep each other posted via PM on what's going on at our respective Targets. One of those Kane and Lynch PS3 copies at the Denton store was bought by me back then.

Well, it looks like there are officially no more 120gb 360 hard drives left in Orange County... I went to the only two stores in the area still listing their stock via Target.com as having "Limited Availability", talking to clerks, getting DPCIs checked, etc. And while the Westminster Mall Target apparently thinks they have 2 still in stock, they were nowhere to be found. Fullerton, meanwhile, was apparently just plain out.

Really bummed that I didn't know about this price drop earlier. 50 bucks is an insanely good deal for a hard drive that normally goes for 160, and no amount of searching or eBaying online is getting me anything under a hundred bucks elsewhere.

I don't know if the stock listing at Westminster was an error or the result of someone hiding/stealing drives, but if it's the latter, consider me one pissed-off S.O.B.

Don't anyone else get excited for this, because it was a one-time-deal, but at the very moment I was scoping out the clearance section tonight, one of the workers dumped seven Wii games there with the "As Is Clearance" stickers on them... 2.99 each.

Even if they all suck but Candy Factory (hey, it's not bad) and Mercury Meltdown.

What I do is make the return just before closing and go back right after they open. Whatever you returned should be in the clearance section. If it is not, they will usually have a cart full of stuff in the electronics section. Check there. Works every time. :D

Medal of Honor 360 was completely wiped out wherever I looked. I guess people must have thought it was regularly priced at $59.99 and were happy to find it at $13.98. I would have picked it up for $4.98. :D

Missed out on Pure. It dropped to $14.98 but all copies were gone when I checked. Also, no more Uncharted in my area. It never went below $29.98. :cry:
 
Hm, there's only 1 Target within a 30 mile radius of me that has Limited Availability on the hard drives. Thing is, it's around 12 miles out, debating whether or not to see if it dropped to $45.

This is a good method if you have the time. But you also have to know who is working in electronics during dayshift/nightshift. My store has teenagers working at night...they know the good clearance deals and buy stuff for themselves before it reaches the back. I lost 2 Madden CE's this way. I used to return stuff when the store opened and come back in an hour or so after running other errands because it usually a bunch of women working who could care less if Madden was $22 or $220.

The best way to do this is finding a person a guest services who is cool or doesn't care and will return /rebuy on the spot. Each store has probably five or so different people working at guest services, so you have more than one opportunity to find one that will hook you. I would just walk in with my receipt, tell them I bought something that is cheaper now...if they said "no" I would just smile and say "oh well" and not fight with them. Rinse and repeat another day/another time. Once you find that one "good" CSR you are set, just cross your fingers that they don't quit, get fired or transfer departments! I just adjusted my steering wheel from $70 to $25 yesterday. This is also the only way to get what you want at the price you want instead of hiding stuff in the store...you buy it at 30% off and keep it at home until it drops to 75% off. Good luck.

I've bought storage ottomans at Target. I'm going to customer service next time to complain that mine were missing the free games.

I'd like to see the security cam video of you putting these games in an ottoman and shuffling away. Second thought, I'd like to see the Target employees watching the video. They deserve a good laugh.

MoH Airborne, a good WWI shooter? Yeah, now I recall playing the demo where your squad jumps from a Sopwith Camel. Very challenging fitting everybody in that cockpit, and then you have to worry about hitting your head on the biplane's upper wing. I liked the bonus unlock mission where Snoopy takes on the Red Baron, though.
